The Class Reader for Talent Development Middle Grades' Mastering the Middle Grades curriculum. Developed at Johns Hopkins University, this course prepares students for the more rigorous academic and social challenges of middle school though explicit instruction in study skills, social skills (including conflict resolution), life skills, and career exploration. First year of a three-year curriculum that includes 40 lessons per year (designed for a 45-minute class period) and can be expanded or contracted to fit various school schedules.
