Wedding bells are about to ring for Poet Parker and Kade Denton. They just have to knock a few things off their list in Galveston, including getting a license, and then they will be ready to pledge themselves to one another forever.
There’s just one little problem.
On their first night, right across the water, they watch the local vampires do a ritual on the beach. They don’t sweat it too much until the police show up the next morning to ask them about the body that was found in the exact same location.
It seems the vampires are up to something, and they’re not the only ones. Trouble is back and the quiet week of rest and relaxation Poet was hoping for is about to go up in smoke.
As Poet and her motley crew of paranormals dig deeper into the Galveston lore, they find more interesting tidbits than they can shake a loa at. Something magical—something dark and dangerous—has been controlling the island for a very long time. That’s why no other paranormals can get a foothold in the area. It’s also why the vampires seem to be serving a new master. Unfortunately for Mystic Caravan, that creature is now focused on them.
Poet wants her big day. She wants a honeymoon to enjoy. It seems death is on the wedding reception menu, though, and it’s going to take everybody working together to make sure Poet and Kade get their happily ever after.
Lamias, dwarves, pixies, shifters, and loas are about to unite in a big fight. Who will win, though?

When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail.
Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.

Just fantastic

I really love these characters, so glad to be back at the circus; seems like it took forever, then it felt like the last story was just yesterday. I have to say I think this is one of Amanda's best; the writing and story is absolutely outstanding. I will warn the readers, this is so good you will not be able to put it down until you get to the end, and when you get to the end you better have a few tissues handy ( and this is from a 70 yo ). Highly, highly enjoyed it and recommend it. Thank you Amanda

The wedding

I love this series! Each of the characters is amazing. Poet is a strong capable woman surrounded by loving, supportive friends. Each new town is an adventure with new paranormal bad guys to figure out and take down. Shocked by who the bad guy was in this book, but happy Poet figure it out and was able to save the day before the wedding. Beautiful wedding and vows! I look forward to where the series goes from here.

extraordinarily entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series

This is an extraordinarily entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. An awesome cast of characters and a uniquely entertaining storyline. Put Parker is the manager of a traveling circus of paranormal misfits along with a human cadre of Midway workers and odd collection of clowns. Together they travel the country setting up in cities and treating a magical net around their circus that draws in Evil doors that are paranormal as well as human. Depending on the situation that either destroy or make sure that the being is caught or destroyed. In this particular chapter put and her fiancé cade are heading to Galveston Texas. They are planning to get married after their circus runs through the week. They run into a bit of trouble as something is going on and they need to find out what it is and see if they can stop it. On and see where their adventure goes and if they will succeed.

Oooooo I so love POET! And Kade as a couple, thrilled they are with Mystic Caravan family on their way to Galveston and the WEDDING at last, wahooooo! I even occasionally like drama queen Luke, though he is hard to take…much more tolerable with Cole.

The Mystic caravan family characters are always enthralling, so richly complex and detailed..
Each one has an important place in this family - Raven and her odd clown Percy, the pixie sisters in their fierceness, Dolph the strong man and Nelly our favorite bearded lady and his beloved axe (hilarious) - but no villain has been quite as delicious in their deviousness as this one.
They remind me of the bad guy in one of the Schwarzenegger movies, with a creepy ability to disappear, and reappear oooo, shivers!

I read the novel in a couple of hours (in my 60s now but even as a child read like that every day - still my normal reading pace). It is an amazing book if I go back to read again at a slower pace, enjoying the nuances I missed the first time, for the subtleties. I’ve done that throughout the Mystic Caravan series, appreciating every book thoroughly. This one has so much to appreciate and particularly with the beautifully written ending, it was truly perfectly poetic.

A fabulous series, a terrific story and an absolutely worthwhile read

Wedding

Galveston Island is the place Poet picked, little did she know what they would need to fix before the big day.

It appears to be vampires carrying out a strange ritual further along the shoreline as Poet, Raven, Nixie, and Naida set up the dream catcher but the following morning an exsanguinated body is found in a different beachside location and the local police are straight to the circus for information. A bit of delving into the detectives brain tells Poet that they are also dealing with an ever increasing list of missing persons cases that go back beyond Mystic Circuses appearance, but a run in with Silas a lone vampire who tells Poet all is not as it appears raises questions.

A Nix has been controlling the island for many, many years, bringing upon the population natural disasters to hide its killing sprees. It seems to be getting out of control and Poet will need to use her power up to out manoeuvre and end ots reign of tyranny over the islanders.

A bit different but still good. It's finally time for Poet and Kade's wedding but there's just one more supernatural baddie to deal with before that happens. Most of the focus is on anticipating the wedding so the mystery suffers a bit. The baddie I found easy to spot and the vampires seemed superfluous in my opinion, only there to give Post and friends someone to fight. I am missing the days when everyone in the circus had an equal hand in fighting the evil entities that they encountered but it seems.that now it's just a one woman show, I find that a shame. Raven has such experience and magical, deadly, prowess, there's Nellie with his axe and the.pixie twins with their magic and spells (Maria's dolls give me nightmares) to name but a few. I wonder what changes will occur when the circus finally moves to Moonstone Bay and if this will see.the two.series merge into one. Meantime Poet, Like and the rest of the circus are a firm favourite...........................

This wonderful wonderful book by the very wonderful Amanda m Lee. I can not gush more about her and her writing. This was no less than her other books and she has so many other series that have characters featured in this series that I have a lot to read. I look foreward to the next one and there is a next one. Ohhhh I can't wait.
But I digress about this book Poet and Kade are getting married in Galviston and they just want things to go smoothly. But do they ever go smoothly? no! What do they meet up with a death the night they get there, a mysterious born vampire, a moody cop and a bunch of bitten vampires and a lot of missing people, whats going on? Well you will have to read it to find out. Will the wedding go on or will you have to wait till the next installment?

I love this series and this cast of characters. I love the author too, she has several great series going, but this is one of my favs. These books are always so fun and I tear through them fast and this one was no different. The story was clever enough it kept you interested and guessing, although, I figured the main baddy pretty early :). The Loa's always make me laugh and its cool watching Poet continue in her new powers. It's going to be interesting to see where this goes, I know they don't have much time left on the road, but I hope this series keeps going for a while. If you like this series, you will like this book for sure. I cant wait for the next and learning more about Raven

This was an ok chapter in the story, nothing earth shattering or super amazing. It kind of felt like the author was grasping at straws for a cohesive story to develop.
The foe in this story was different but the story more focused on the vampires, which was kind of a let down because we had vampires in the last story.
Not alot of developments in this story except for Poet's reunion with Scout and the very small focus on what's to come for both of them.
The wedding was contained to a very short chapter, disappointing as usual.
This story was not one of the better ones in this group, sad to say but I am anticipating the next one.

poet and Kade get married

But first beat the bad guys. I love love this author. Every single book I read always reels me in making me want more. Poet is one of my favorites with her cast and crew from the mystic caravan circus. I’d love to read more about the others and their lives. Nixie and her sister Nadia , the strongman Dolph, Nellie the bearded lady. And many more. I know they are moving to Moonstone bay, so maybe hopefully there will be more stories to come. I also look for way to more books by this author.

Great series!!

If you enjoy paranormal romance and suspense, you will enjoy this series. There are plenty of quirky characters, fascinating magical miscreants, entertaining situations... and, it's the Circus!
What's not to love about that?
Poet and her people are a hodpodge of magical talents and abilities. They are also a "found" family.
No one messes with the family and lives to brag about it!
Join the circus and fall in love with Poet and her family.
You know you want to!
I can't wait for more stories!

Finally a wedding!

If you love strong, sparky female leads you will love this book. Not to mention a great family of secondary characters from all different magical realms all wrapped into a circus. This author makes me laugh, smile, and look forward to my time of reading. That is a rare find. Try these books, and if you like more sparky and hilarious witches try the Wicked Witches of the Midwest. Tons of strong female leads. All her books make me so happy I feel like I ate a huge piece of cake and lost weight! Nothing better

Another Fun Mystic Caravan Winner!

Poet and Kafe are getting married. In Galveston, TX. But first they have to deal with some vampires, and an even creepier Paranormal than usual. Luke is his usual pain, Cole becomes even more essential, and the rest of the gang chimes in, too! (Even Baron Samedi and Maman Brigitte!)
If you love the circus as I do (and I especially adore this one), you'll enjoy this latest book, too. Only one issue: it was over too soon! Looking forward to the next books!
A+++ Bravo!

Good series that has a strong cast. However, Luke was even more painful than usual, but not unexpectedly. Poet has become the only one to really fight the "baddies" in the recent books. Sort of a shame since they are really good as a fighting team - I hope it comes back to that group approach. A number of references to moving to Moonstone Bay. It will be interesting to see what happens to the two series at that time - maybe a merger?

So good!

I have read the series up to now & absolutely love them. This one definitely made me laugh as like all of the others but almost made me cry happy tears and that is nearly unheard of for me. I love how much research is done with all of the books and how the characters from other series make an appearance. If you like mysteries, humor, romance and paranormal, you will fall in love with Amanda M. Lee's work. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.

Sharks, vampires and dead bodies

What I enjoyed:
* I was very surprised by who it was
* I like seeing the gang

What could have been better:
* I would have liked a longer wedding ceremony or getting to see the reception
* The main story wrapped up super quickly

A great read.

Amanda M. Lee never disappoints with her books! They are always well thought out and they move at a fast pace. I hate when reality intrudes and I have to pause in the reading of any of her books! This is Book 17 in the Mystic Caravan Series and they just keep getting better. I especially love the close knit character family.

Brilliant as always

Finally- the wedding! Although as usual, there are lots of twists and turns before we get there. I really enjoyed the mystery in this story as well as being introduced to a new kind of evil. I was definitely caught by surprise as to who the bad guy was this time. Thank you Amanda M. Lee for another fun ride!

Wonderful!

Great story with lots of twists and turns plus good time with my favorite circus family. Truly enjoyed every bit of it. I do not recommend reading as a standalone book. Start at the beginning of the series to fully understand the characters. Looking forward to whatever is next.

Amanda does it again

Having read every book, series, Amanda has written I simply can’t put them down. Brilliant story development characters so wild but sync together. Honestly don’t know which series I like best. Mystic Caravan series creatively fab. Only time I don’t like are the strange book covers.

I really like the new character. I hope we see more of him in the future. I can't wait to read Raven's story.

I loved this book. We get all the major players, Poet gets to flex a little, Cole is the best, Kade gets his wishes fulfilled. There is danger along the way and one of the crew almost gets killed. Highly recommend the book.
