Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja #5

Terror at the Talent Show

Rate this book
Age Level: 9 and up | Grade Level: 4 and up

My name is Chase Cooper, and this is my fifth diary as a 6th grade ninja. The best part about my new ninja lifestyle is that there's never a dull moment... unfortunately, that's the worst part about it too. There's a big talent show on Friday (who my cousin, Zoe, is in charge of) and everything seemed cool until someone set a wild animal loose and trashed part of the stage during rehearsal. The good news is the stage can be fixed before the show - the bad news is the kid who damaged it is still on the loose and is expected to strike again. As if that wasn't enough, I've also got to deal with some new ninjas, an ugly moose costume, and a missing bird. So yeah, my week's pretty booked. Now I'm racing against the clock in what's proving to be one of my most challenging tasks yet.

Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja 5: Terror at the Talent Show
is a funny mystery that's entertaining for children, middle school students, and adults.

Wow, the books keep getting dumber, and my students keep laughing harder. My main complaint with these books is the poor grammar. The author consistently misuses "her and I" as well as the objective "gave it to him and I." I hate for my students to read this, because it further normalizes a very prevalent mistake. However, I appreciate that the author keeps the story reasonably clean (there are a few hecks, but nothing stronger). There is also more hand-holding between boyfriend/girlfriend than is appropriate in 6th grade, but nothing more severe. This series won't in any way increase your brain power, but it also won't defile your young reader.

Diary of a sixth grade ninja

I love this book because there is a lot of mystery in it. I recommend this book for people learning to read comic or chapter books. A lot of fun mysteries and adventures this ninja has to solve! Good for parents who want their child to start reading more! I think Marcus Emerson and Noah Child did a great job on this book!

I’m the fifth book in the series, Chase, the leader of the black ninjas is dealing with his rivals the red ninjas when he runs into a white ninja. The big question is who side will be white on? Zoe is putting on a talent show and little things keep going wrong but they are little things that seem like the show is being tampered with! Can Chase and Gavin figure out what’s going on in time?

Chase isn't with Faith?

I'm very confused because in book 4 they broke up because Faith at the time thought Chase broke the science project but after that was resolved, why aren't they back together. I feel bad for the man.

Good book

This book was very good. I could not put it down. I would definitely recommend it to 3rd-6th graders and kids that are 8-11 years old.

I love this series something ridiculous. It's not only humorous and fast-paced but it also encourages upstanding character.

Highly recommend!

This was a great book because it was filled with tons of action. One example of an action-packed moment is when Chase Cooper (the main character) is running away from a pack of evil ninjas. Another example is when Chase runs into the football game and jukes out the whole team to score a touchdown. The book is very well written and makes you want to keep reading; I finished it in only three days. One of my favorite parts is when Chase is chasing a loose penguin and then the penguin leads him into a room that makes Chase stare in awe. The room is so special because it gives Chase’s ninja clan a new place to train because their old training place was taken over. I highly recommend that you read this book because I really enjoyed it, but I recommend that you read books 1-4 in the series first.

The book "Diary of a 6th grade Ninja 5", by Marcus Emerson tells the story about a 6th grader who is a Ninja. Overall I thought the book was great. The characters were very funny and interesting. My favorite character in the book was the character Hot Cakes who is a penguin. I plan on reading more of these series of books. I would recommend this book to other teenage students because the book is easy to read and fun. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, " Diary of a 6th grade Ninja 6".
