Fatal Secrets is the fourth book in Rosemary's story and concludes the Dark Angel chapter of the Shadow City Universe. It was a great read everything I would expect from a Shadow City Universe novel.
Rosemary and Levi have come a long way both separately and together. I love that Rosemary has emotions now and instead of seeing them as a weakness, she sees them as a strength. She's understanding the world around her and it's bonding her more with the people she loves. Plus it's still a hoot when she doesn't understand colloquialisms.
As for Levi, what can I say, he's a work in progress but he's starting to learn how to people with people who weren't raised in Hell. He's become less annoying and more understanding and rational and I like him better for it.
This is the book I've been waiting for, a couple of my theories have finally been validated out loud through a few shocking revelations. I cannot tell you the satisfaction of that and once everything is put all together the level of betrayal and manipulation that was pulled off is kinda unimaginable. There were a few tough emotional moments and things aren't okay but they aren't totally horrible either, I would say they were inevitable. I say over and over this is an awesome friend group and good thing it is because they needed it.
While Rosemary's story wasn't like anything I expected it was still a fantastic read. Fatal Secret ended kinda how I expected but the emotions behind it, I will admit, came as a surprise, I didn't expect to feel the way I did and that's not the only surprise. This isn't the end for the Shadow City group things will continue in Shattered Wolf, the first book in the Shadow City: Silver Mate series, the first book in Killian's story.
