If he doesn't break the curse tying him and his brothers to the Crown of England as paranormal terrorist hunters, they'll be forced to execute him.
An accidental demon possession erodes Shane Lanzo's sanity. Sometimes he's in control. Sometimes not. His only hope is the witch who cast the curse, which is a problem. The last two times he approached her, the feisty enchantress somehow tamed the demon inside him, but rendered him useless against his desire for her.
Kari Edney sucks at being a witch. Her casting the curse on the lycan brothers was a fluke, and it destroyed her life. She's been hunted by the Crown ever since to make sure she doesn't try to undo the curse. She never expected Shane to find her so easily. He's a temptation that promises zinger chemistry, her absolute weakness. One taste was gratifying. Two was foolish. Three has become an addiction. Lifting the curse requires she forfeit her life, but if the hunters kill her, it leaves Shane at the mercy of the Crown. Either way she dies.
Shane has a freedom for his family, risking Kari in the process or a chance at happiness with the witch who fated his brothers as prisoners for eternity.

This is the kind of book I like to describe as "comfort trash." A cliché storyline with a HEA that you can breeze through when you just need a good distraction from life. My problem with this was the characterization seemed a bit wishy washy and inconsistent. The drama was good, the action was well-detailed, but sometimes the behavior of a character in one moment would change so quickly the next that it gave me whiplash. However, the lore was really cool, the series has good continuity, and Baku made everything worth it for me.
Total Eclipse of the Moon by Zoe Forward is the 3rd book in her Crown of Wolves series. The Lanzo brothers (Lycans), are bound to the Crown’s command, as they have been cursed to be the Crowns weapons, and destroy all enemies. We meet the fourth brother, Shane, who was presumed dead; but he has been accidently possessed by a demon; with both fighting for control. Shane is determined to find a way to break the curse tying him and his brothers to the Crown of England, as paranormal terrorist hunters. Though he has met her a couple of times, he has not been successful to get the witch to remove the curse that she put on all 4 brothers.
Madeline Edney, a witch, who has limited powers, does her best over the years, to avoid Shane or any of the other brothers, since she really doesn’t know how to remove the curse. Madeline knows the Crown is always keeping an eye on her to not remove the curse; she is very much aware that lifting the curse will cause her death.
Shane does find Madeline, who is able to help tame his demon, especially when she sings. Both Shane and Madeline find themselves very attracted to each other, with sizzling chemistry; giving into their passion, which is now addicting. Madeline manages to leave Shane behind, leaving him to return home to his family, who are shocked that he is still alive.
What follows is an exciting, tense, action-packed adventure that kept me unable to put the book down. I loved the chemistry between Shane and Maddy, and prayed they would find a way to be together, especially with her possible loss of life if she removes the curse. Shane, who is totally in love with Maddy, wanted to remove the curse, but he did not want her to die doing it. He had to find another way to save her. It was great to see the whole family together: Roman, Nova, Ky, Vivi, as well as Cora, Evie, Dom, Antonio and at the end, I did like Baku (the demon). I do not want to say too much more, because you need to read this book, without me ruining it for you
Total Eclipse of the Moon was exciting through most of the book, with non-stop action, great characters, and a world filled with witches, secrets, enemies, vampire and battles. I thought that Shane and Madeline were so great together. Total Eclipse of the Moon was so very well written by Zoe Forward.
This is book 3 in The Crown's Wolves and while it could be read as a standalone, I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one. All of these characters are introduced in the previous books and there is a bigger story ARC at play within the books. I had been impatiently waiting for Shane's story since it was teased he was still alive, and this story in no way disappointed!! Shane left his brother's in order to keep them safe, or at least that is what he thinks. Shane (and his brother's) have been through so much while in forced service. But they have never forgotten their love for their family, nor why they had done the things they did to begin with. I loved the banter between Shane and his "demon". The chemistry between him and Madeline was great and I loved how everything plays out between them. I loved when his brother's are brought back to him, along with his Mom. Throw in Madeline's Aunt and the way she acts with everything? I absolutely loved this story and didn't want it to end! I love this series, so I am hopeful for spin-off's and more books in it!
Yet another fantastic book from Zoe Forward. Total Eclipse of the Moon is the 3rd installment of the Crown Wolves Series and its a zinger. The steam between Shane and Madeline is very hot in this action packed novel.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about dancing in the rain." - Madeline
Tropes - >A Witch Hunt >We're Supposed To Be Enemies but want to be Lovers >Dancing with your Demons >When your family already hates your girlfriend >Death
Finally! We get to meet Shane. If you haven't read the other Crown Wolf books, I suggest you do and then read this one because Shane was worth waiting for. The chemistry between Shane and Madeline was just divine. He truly saw her. Madeline also understood how to communicate with Baku, the demon cohabitating with Shane (read the book). Madeline is a very unique Witch with a story you will want to read. Suffice to say she cat the original curse that tied the Shane and his brothers to the English Monarchy. Only she can undue it. But at what cost.
Roman, Ky, Flynn, Evie, are back along with Efram, Dom and our favorite vampire, Antonio. Madeline 's aunt Cora plays a large part in this. We also see some Archangels. The interaction of the characters with Shane and Madeline is sometimes messy and sometimes really fascinating. I particularly liked how Evie, Shane's mother, treated Madeline. I also liked the relationship between Cora and Madeline.
This book was extremely fast paced with action happening all the time. This is something I really love in a book. I read it over the course of about 4 and a half hours.
I give this book 5 stars and a 3 on the Scoville Spice Scale.
Again, another hit for Zoe Forward!

My Review: Total Eclipse of the Moon by Zoe Forward is book #3 in The Crown's Wolves series. It was released in 2023.
About the Book: "If he doesn't break the curse tying him and his brothers to the Crown of England as paranormal terrorist hunters, they'll be forced to execute him
...a witch... [is being] hunted by the Crown...to make sure she doesn't try to undo the curse. Lifting the curse requires she forfeit her life, but if the hunters kill her, it leaves Shane at the mercy of the Crown. Either way she dies.
Shane has a choice: freedom for his family, risking Madeline in the process or a chance at happiness with the witch who fated his brothers as prisoners for eternity."
In My Own Words: A Lycan who had to fake his own death crosses paths with the witch who was tricked into casting the spell that cursed he and his brothers, forcing them to do the Crown's bidding. Shane and Madeline find themselves connected, attracted, and protective of each other. With circumstances so dire, what will happen to them in the end?
My Final Say: This story was definitely entertaining. It was a twisted, action-packed paranormal jaunt. It can be read as a standalone, however, it might be of benefit to read the preceding books in order to fully grasp the Lanzo family drama.
I would categorize this book as wicked, funny, sexy, cool.
Other: Readers who enjoy a diverse supernatural cast of characters, enemies to lovers tropes, and forever family action should like this.
Rating: 4/5 Recommend: Yes Audience: A Status/Level: 👍 Series: Yes Note: I think this would translate well as an audiobook.
Thank you to the author, as well as to NetGalley, for granting access to a digital ARC of this title. I appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts and opinions.
This story ties with the previous stories in The Crown's Wolves series books 1 & 2. This enjoyable story is about Shane Lanzo our H who is possessed by a demon/werewolf by a curse to serve the Crown forever as an assassin to hunt paranormal criminals and Madeline Edney our h a witch who cast the curse. Madeline is being chased by the Crown who wants the curse to remain and Shane who wants the curse removed. Shane finds her first. His demon wants to kill her after the curse is removed, himself wants to kiss her. These conflicting emotions along with the dangers that threaten Madeline life is an engaging story that kept my attention till the end in this paranormal romance. The characters were likable and had chemistry, and the drama, action, and romance were titillating. I volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received from Hidden Gems.
Ooh! One Sexy, Sultry, Intense Steamy Read, Fantastic!
An action packed page-turning read that I couldn’t put down. It had it all, wonderful characters their personalities shine throughout the storyline.
This author’s stories will keep you gripped to each page, there is so much going on, the tenderness and chemistry which shines through with Shane and Madeline will make you swoon.
If you love to read paranormal, shifter reads this is highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed and I really cannot wait for the next in the series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The blurb sounded so promising...but the story didn't draw me in. There should have been suspense, but it was barely there. The love scenes were cheesy and sometimes cringeworthy. The spice level is 2/5. Judging by the book cover, I expected more. I stopped reading at 40% after I started to skip pages to see if there was something intruding.
