Prudence Rawlings lost her mother four years ago, and now she has lost her job. Her aunt, the only real family she has, has also passed away. With nowhere else to go and no money, she moves in with her very reticent and disapproving grandfather. But he soon sends her out of his home after accusing her of theft.Clarence Abang considers old man Aaron Rawlings flagrantly ruthless, self righteously judgmental and downright insufferable and prefers to deal with him only in matters of business. But it becomes personal when he has to take his granddaughter into his home and then even more personal when his on-and-off girlfriend Bibi doesn't like the arrangement at all.

Beautiful love story

This was an absolute beautiful story. We follow the hardships of Prudence and how she tragically lost her aunt and her job. She moves in and works for her grandfather who has so animosity towards her. She then meets Clarence and he helps her reform her life. The connection between the two was absolutely lovely. I love how they started out as friends but they fell for each other hard and fast, especially Clarence. The way that he was smitten with her was cringey at times but nonetheless heartwarming. I wish that we got to see more of Clarence’s family and see Prudence make more friends but the story between them satisfied me for the most part. I would recommend and I might try reading their other stories as well.

Honestly speaking I am not sure why the story is called midnight dance , but I love how things worked out for the good of prudence .
Even though her only family member (grandfather) was horrible to her . Fate had the last say in her story .

So if you’re looking for a sweet fluffy romance with family drama theme then this is the book for you !
