All Gone: The Curiosity Club of St Foy

Rate this book
At a reunion of old school pupils and friends, recently retired Belle Harrington overhears a story about a gang of seven bullies, who blighted her life decades earlier. Over the course of twenty-five years, six of the seven have died or disappeared. One every five years, three months after each reunion. All seemingly accidental. Co-incidence … or something else?

Working reluctantly with the only remaining member of the gang, and with the next anniversary imminent, Belle sets out to discover if there has been something sinister at work. Her investigation uncovers long kept secrets, lies and deception, as she homes in on the truth of what really occurred, and unleashes a nightmare that could destroy her new life in the Cornish town of St Foy.

Originally from South Wales, I now live in North Wales, close to Conwy and the sea. My passion for genealogy began when I helped out my mother with internet researching on her family and I became engrossed ( my family would say fanatical!). The Maze Investigations series has allowed me to combine my passion with my long held ambition to be a creative writer. I have recently added the first book in a new series. The series is called The Curiosity Club of St Foy and the book is 'All Gone'. My plan is to publish 2 books a year at least, one in each series. Update! I have recently published the fourth book in the Curiosity Club of St Foy series. It's called "The Cult of Flowers". And I have formed a collaboration with South Wales write, John F. Wales. Together we have produced a new series called "The Cardiff Newshound Investigates". Book one, "Death on a Gravestone" is now available in all media, and book two will be available shortly. It's been ten years since the publication of "Three Times Removed", the first book in the Maze series. I'll soon be starting on book no. 10. What a journey!

with friends you can achieve anything

Belle, had a secret from her past that had blighted her for most of her life. Then she comes to Foy and finds friends, friends whom she feels that she can trust. News from going to a school reunion troubles her and sets her on a path full of dangers but she needs to find out about the school bullies who have died. Belle needs the help and support of an old friend and also her new friends. I really enjoyed this book, the characters are interesting and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series

Mezmerizingl

I was totally mesmerized with this book. I could not put it down. Needless to say, nothing got done today except for reading. I kept anticipating something bad happening relating to Belle in a former life
As there were several hints that she wasn’t who she said she was. It was very suspenseful and extremely well written. Of course the pervasive fog just added to the whole atmosphere. Well done, M. K. Jones, well done!

You know when you read a book, someone will recommend a book to you that they think you will also like? Well Amazon have been bringing this book to my attention for a while. Even though im a fan of the author, on reading the synopsis, I've put off reading it until now.
Sorry I doubted you Mary...! I loved it and am now going to read the next one in the series.
I loved reading that Maggie and Bob from Maze investigations books had a part to play in the book also. I do hope there will be more in the series. I'm hooked....

A change of direction from the Maze genealogical series but with references to some of the familiar characters. Brave decision to firmly reference Covid restrictions, some of which seemed to have been stretched for the narrative to flow. The theme of the on-going damage done by school bullying was interesting. Not yet firmly hooked by this series as I was by the Maze one but if there’s another to follow let’s see how the other characters develop.

Awesome Read

I was skeptical of trying this book and it took me awhile to come around because it wasn’t Maze but I tried it because I had read that Maggie and Bob were in it. The only thing I can say is MK Jones is an awesome writer. I couldn’t put it down and it gripped me from start to finish. Now I can’t wait for the next Maze installment and the next Curiosity Club installment.

Good Reaf

I began following Mary because of her genealogical mysteries. Being an amateur genealogist I found that genre interesting. I tried this book mainly because I needed something to read and it was #1 in a series. I was not disappointed. Mary does her research and keeps me turning pages. I look forward to #2.

Brilliant

Absolutely loved it, a terrific new series full of twists and turns but the the way it entwined with Maggie and Co was genius, not their story but still keeping them fresh in memory until they pop onto the pages again Can't wait for the next round of the Curiosity Ladies and of course Mase Investigations 💗

Really enjoyed this. For me, it was preferable to the Maze stories with their supernatural elements.
I did get a bit confused towards the end with the myriad of names and aliases, but I think I got there!

A change of genre for M K Jones - and a job well done! Lovely to see some of the Maze characters involved. Tackled a very hard subject with courage and honesty.
Give the book a read, you will not be disappointed

Bullies

I really liked this storyline! I liked that the bullies got "rewarded " for what they did to their classmates. One never knows what one may be capable of doing once they are no longer being bullied.

all gone

It was an interesting read. And a good look at the many traits of humanity. M. K. Jones does a good job of giving a distinction between each person.

Belle attends a high school reunion and overhears a story that starts her thinking. Of the “mean girl” group, who had made their lives miserable in school….6 of the 7 had either died or disappeared, at 5 year intervals.

Not The Greatest....

This book was only fair. I did not feel the connection to the new characters, and it dragged quite often.

Interesting

This is book 1 in a new series, interesting people and situations.
Some references to Maze Investigations and Bob Pugh is a part of the story. Worth a read.
