Hollis Hawthorn saved the governor’s life, but he put his own in jeopardy.
The day of the governor’s big speech, Damian Knox showed up with a gang of men and tried to kill him. If not for Hollis, the governor would be dead, and Dakota Territory would be without a leader.
Knox was sentenced to hang, but that’s when the real trouble started.
It should have been a typical transport. Knox and three other criminals, moving from point A to point B. Hollis was part of the transport team, along with about a dozen other guards.
But everything went wrong.
And … Knox escaped.
Hollis would have died if not for Fleet Madsen, a known murderer and thief. Madsen claims he’s innocent, but all the evidence points against him.
He should be in jail, but Hollis can’t recapture Knox alone.
So he and Madsen make a deal. Madsen will help Knox, but only if Knox promises to help Madsen…
He never counted on Madsen’s daughter getting in their way. She’s just as dangerous as her father, but she’s also beautiful and fierce.

Hunt them Down💀

Cross country trip in a tumbleweed wagon With numerous guards and prisoners ends up in tragedy when the prisowner's frees them but in the process kills most of the guards and sheriffs. Left for dead, Holl🐺🔫🔪💪🐎, 1 of the guards realizes that the sheriffs were bought off and part of the gang.
When he recovers he sets out Find the escaped gang members And criminals.
This is a well written interesting book That Has quite a bit of violence and shootouts.
Good will prevail over evil💀!

A good story created by the author.
This story took a bit of time to get through—or should I say a lot of crooks and dishonest lawmen to get through! My goodness it almost seemed like Hollis, Charlie, and Fleet would never get exonerated or that the Governor would ever come to realize who his true enemies were. So sad when lawmen or good citizens can be bought so easily. Criminal Knox sure had a lot of buy off money!

This book is action packed. It has some love stories in it . Good guys are bad guys. Nothing is a it seems. Friends are enemies. Enemies are friends. What a wild ride. Well done! I have always enjoyed Frank Wheeler’s book. This one doesn’t disappoint!

A great read
The most terrific set of characters yet. Full of twist and une pected turns. Mr wheeler certainly keeps one guessing!
