Tony Hawk had a hard time getting accepted as a skater. First, people thought that he "cheated" when he was skating. People thought that because he used Ollies to jump, back then people thought the real style was the surfer style; moving smoothly as if on a wave. Tony used this style because he didn't have enough body weight to fling him self up a ramp. Another reason that the pro skater had a hard time getting accepted is that skateboarding's popularity went up and down. When he continued skating people in the neighborhood considered him as a nerd. These were two of the many reasons that Hawk had many ups and downs in his career.
Hawk showed determination throughout his whole life. An example is that he would not leave the skatepark if he didn't achieve what he wanted. Tony would stay at the skatepark until he was satisfied with his achievement . Hawk was also determined to win at competitions. If Tony wasn't satisfied with his performance at the contest he would lock him self up in his room. In his room he would reflect about what he was did wrong and what he could have done better at. The next day Tony Hawk would work on those weaknesses in the skatepark. In all, the pro skater Tony Hawk showed a lot of determination in his life.

As a professional skater Tony Hawk had a lot of pressure on him. First people expected him to win in all competitions. This way Tony felt nervous before every competition and couldn't concentrate as well. To fix this problem Tony retired to sort out his personal life. He brought a second home away from the city and asked his girlfriend to move in with him. In the backyard of the pro's house his dream came true; to have his own mini skatepark. After a period of time Tony started skating again in competitions. Now there was less pressure on him but people still loved him. In all, Tony Hawk handled a lot of pressure but had to take a break from his career.
After all these great events something terrible happened. Skateboardings popularity was going down. Tony Hawk had financial problems after being so generous with his friends and family. As a result he had to sell his house with the mini skatepark and move back into the house he bought when he was in high school. Hawk faced another problem; he was going to become dad. Now he barely had enough money to pay his bill. To find a solution he friend to open up a skateboarding company with his friend that would support vert and street skater. In conclusion, Tony had a hard time once again and tried to open a company.

First when the X-games were launched they gave a different image of skating. They considered skating as a competetive sport instead of focusing to reach each skater's goal. Usually skater basically cheer on each other. In every interview Tony Hawk gave he mentioned that skating is not a sport where people should try to beat other. They should try their personal best. Tony was not the only one who realized this. Also Andy MacDonald, Tony's vert doube parter as well as his friend started reminding people in interviews. In all, the X-games changed the image of the X-games.
After time Tony thought to him self that there are not enough public skateparks. Tony organised a foundation to build public skateparks. This gave a chance for kids to skate who might not afford the fees of a private skatepark. Another reason Tony founded this foundation is that he wanted to promote the sport of skating. He even donates all of his fees of demos to the foundation. After the first three year the foundation built 291 skateparks. All of this just happened because Tony Hawk thought to himself that there are not enough skateparks.

He is a very successful skateboarder of all times. He won skateboard tournaments which really made him become more popular. He started living his skateboarding dreams in the 1980’s which is when he started the tournaments. During the years of skateboarding Hawk wasn’t getting money from the skateboarding and the only way he could have payed them was to stop playing his favorite sport and stop working. But, in 1995 there was a television channel which is for sport games. So Tony chained the channel for money and Millions of people started watching the channel which means Tony started to win a lot of money. From 1990 to 2016 he’s been married to 4 different women. His first wife was Cindy Dunbar from 1990-1993. His second former spouse was Erin Lee from 1996- 2004. His third spouse was Lhotse Merriam from 2006- 2011. Finally his spouse that he is married to now is Catherine Goodman and they’ve been married now since 2015. In the year 2000, Tony went back to his former middle school and he started to get tired because he had to much fans. He became so popular that he had to be escorted by the police to get home safely. Thus, Tony Hawk is a extremely skilled skater but the outcast was very hard to support and it was exhausting for him.

After that, it is also written in the book when is the person born and it talks about his life. I have one question and one thinking I have made before reading the story. First, did you work with famous people? Second, before I started reading the book when I saw the picture of the book I thought that Tony Hawk is an actor because of his background. There are a lot of reasons why this person became famous. First of all, the person became famous because of his skateboard talent which made people come see him. Also a lot of Millions of people started to look at him and the TV. Finally, he was very popular that people were following him and he had to be escorted home by the polis so that he can get come safely. Thus, this book made me understand that Tony Hawk is an excellent person.
The most important recommendation is based on the book which is about a skateboarder so this book would certainly be recommended to skateboarders. First of all, Tony Hawk is an amazing guy that was an expert on skateboarding and it is a fun sport. This book is about someones life so this book would also be recommended to people that like to reed biography should surely read this book immediately. After that, I would recommend this book to people who love robots because Tony participated in a robot circus which was very fun and people loved to see him there. As one can see, Tony Hawk may not look like a popular guy but people were following him because he was really popular

My biography book is based on Tony Hawk an American formal pro-skater. He was born on May 12 1968 In California. He is famous and well known for creating new skateboard stunts. One thing Tony did that blew the media for days is after he was known for being the first skateboarder in history to pull off a 900. Tony has entered 103 contests, won 73 of them, and second place in 19. He has won six gold medals for skateboarding in the ESPN X-Games. A surprising fact about Tony has been married three times, and he has three sons Spencer, Keegen and Riley. Tony is now a worldwide known star who loves skateboarding. His parents, Nancy Elizabeth Hawk and Frank Peter Rupert Hawk and his brother Steve Hawk. All of Tony’s life of skateboarding started when Tony’s Brother Steven Hawk bought Tony his first skateboard.
Before I read any page of this book I had questions that I asked my self. I asked myself “Why did he want to be a skateboarder?” “Is he married and has kids?” “Why did he choose to pursue his dream?” After Tony chose to pursue his dream he also inspired other Teens who wanted to be famous skateboarders. Teens mainly chose Tony as their idol when he pulled of 900. He was the first to pull it off but not the last. People everywhere practice and try so hard to become famous and earn money but Tony did it for fun.
I would recommend this book to people who love sports like skateboarding. Also if you want to know how he became famous and the rest of his life and all his new stunts. If you want to know how he learned how to skateboard. This book was a good book so I probably would be better if 6 and 7 graders read it because for 8 it wouldn’t be the correct lexile.
