About the author

Bill Gourgey is a science writer, fiction author, and educator. He writes a monthly science history column for Popular Science and has contributed to MIT Technology Review, WIRED, and other publications. His nonfiction explores how scientific and technological innovations succeed, fail, and resurface across generations—and what those patterns reveal about how societies think about the future. He is also the author of the Beverly Hills Book Award-winning Glide Trilogy and Cap City Mysteries YA series. He teaches graduate science writing at Johns Hopkins University.
