I started this book on silent retreat and am just finishing it. I appreciated how it combined all 4 of the gospels into one cohesive narrative of Jesus’ life but also felt that in doing so the individual lessons emphasized by each gospel writer were lost. It was halfway between biblical writing and a novel which made it difficult to characterize.

there is no reference to what the stories explained in between the bible quotation were taken from

no writers included.
I felt am reading a story that is all.
