Not only are they cousins but Diva McCoy and Italy Davis are best friends too. Along with another shared best friend Kinisha. Growing up in the city of Chicago, the cousins were ruled by a strict upbringing by their religious parents. Must Read
As a person who grew up in Church. I witnessed the Betrayal, Cheating, Lying, Abuse, etc. There's a lot of so called Saint's who do more dirt than the law allow and use the Bible to hide behind. Diva and Italy are more like sister's than best friend's. Diva being the daughter of a Pastor and First lady is living her life but she isn't completely happy. I believe she married AJ because her parent's assumed he was a respectable man of God. Which is the furthest thing from the truth. Diva soon learn AJ is a abusive, lying, and cheating piece of s**t. I was too through when she tried to talk to her mother about what AJ done. No mother should want their child in an abusive relationship but Diva mother was making up excuse. Diva also found out her father wasn't this righteous and stand up Pastor he's supposed to be. When it come to the Deacons daughter. Italy don't wear that title proudly. She's tired of her mother and father trying to arrange men for her to date. Italy is her own person and refuse to let her parents force into something she don't want. Italy also is hiding something from her parent's. Ain't nothing like a woman scorned. Shy feelings is hurt because Italy would not tell the truth about them but Shy take's it too far and I have a feeling that Shy ain't through with continue to harm Italy. I don't know what Italy is doing with Mahzee and Nina but I don't see nothing good coming from it. Kinisha is hilarious. I can see why she is Italy and Diva best friend. She's also balance each other out. I love how Kinisha got Italy and Diva together after Diva shared some news about their family and Italy didn't believe her. I think Scar is going to be the man to love Diva properly. However that might change. Especially with the way this ending. Once again Diva walked in on her father and is about to find out some more news that is going to have her looking at him differently.

FIYA!!!
Per usual, your books are fiya! I don't know what's it's like to be in a physically abusive relationship, I just know that AJ lil Kevin Duball looking self would have had as many scars as I did. For Diva's mom to make excuses for him putting his hands on her is BEYOND me. LET'S not speak about her trifling wanna be preacher of a father.
Italy has the best of both worlds. She said she didn't know if she wanted a male or female, now she got both. But that darn Shy has gone loco. I can see how Shy feels though. You've been with someone for 6 years living in secret, but you are seen out with a whole other person, and a man at that. Now, I am not excusing her behavior, but I can empathize with her feelings.
My girl Kinisha, I love her energy and how she's there for both girls. I can't wait to get more on her story.
Scar, Mahzee, and Nina are going to bring a whole of of something into the next installment. I have a feeling that Mahzee, Scar, and Kinisha's old man are acquainted in some way. I'm here for it. .

Petty, Petty, Petty
Patrice why are you so petty?😂😂😂 One thing about it tho is when you bring it you don't half step. We gone start with Alicia then get to lil man. How in the world did she fix her mouth to defend and excuse a man that viciously beat her child. That's why her husband is slanging that pastor pipe everywhere but to her. Lil Gary Coleman otta be ashamed with that LDE and not only got a nerve to cheat but the nerve to put his hand on somebody. Just wait till Scar gets through with him. I'm a little disappointed in Diva tho cause she should have left after the first busted lip. But I guess love is a powerful thing. I like Mahzee, he too has that BDE. Italy can get the best of both worlds with him and Nina. That's only if Shy is dealt with. I just hope Italy didn't get hurt. Diva too might need some prayers because she walked in on a situation between her dad and Scar. 💗💗

What's Done Behind Closed Doors Will Come Out
Patrice Balark, lord today, I don't even know where to begin. This was a great read! You really showed the way some folk are behind closed doors. Seeing these folk are why a lot of folk don't go to church. Do as I say not as I do. It's so sad they way folk do things just to keep up appearances.
Diva and Italy are going through so much mess, the love they shared was a good thing. The three amigos Diva, Kinisha, and Italy. Each had the other's back. AJ really was a piece of work. I hope everything works out for them all. The good Pastor is A snake. I just can't wait to see how it all pans out🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Ok Read!
So many things was going on at once i felt a little confused, but it was a ok read. Italy and Diva holier-than-thou parents was irking every last one of my nerves, they was very critical with trying to run their children lives. Italy really didn't care she lived her life how she wanted to, I just wish she would've live in her truth from the start. Kinisha was the always keep it real friend rather you like it or not. Shy was scorned and Italy should've never got involved with her if she knew she didn't had no long term plans of being with her. Diva acted so weak, her ways was making me mad. AJ need his butt whipped. Lord I need part 2!

Part 2 me like yesterday
I mean Patrice you ain’t have to do us like that and got me with both cousin being in a messed up situation. Diva’parents are both messed up individuals. The mama wrong for telling her to stay by her man cause she did it for 30 years. She should want better for her daughter. The daddy a wanna be dealer. Italy’ s mama wrong too for sleeping with her brother-in-law. Kinisha is the truth.I can’t wait for Scar to get a hold of Aj with his fake self. I just hope that the girls are okay and Scar gets his woman .

I’m ready for book two.
This is the why Patrice is one of my favorite authors. This book has left me with my mouth wide tf open 😂😂 There is not one dull moment in this book. Each character held their own in this book. I have my favorite ones and I have the ones I can’t stand and no I’m not gonna say names your gonna have to read the book and get a feel of each one for yourself. I will say with this title I didn’t expect all of this. I’m laughing like child I need to sit in this church for one service. I wouldn’t be able to shut up. I’m screaming SCARRRRRRR tho I love how this character doesn’t bite his tongue for nothing.

This book was so 🔥 but damn Shy crazy and dumb. Diva need to divorce her cheating women beating husband. I want Diva and Scar together but that’s messy also especially if he kill her father. I wonder who the father of her baby and if his Ex is really pregnant and it will keep the baby. This book has a lot going on I hope shy didn’t kill Italy and she go to jail with her dumb as. Now that love triangle Italy got going on I’m concerned about because at some point someone going to be jealous.

The drama in this book had me glued to my seat. One thing about Patricia is she never disappoints.
Diva can’t catch a break. Everywhere she turns it’s something going on. Her daddy has more secrets that a little bit. Diva done unknowingly uncovered another secret. This one affects her directly. Will she be able to overcome this? I hope so because I want her to win.
Shy was pitiful chasing Italy when she made it clear it’s over. That stunt she pulled was unnecessary.

I did not read the synopsis for this, I’m just a fan of the author so I dived right in not knowing what to expect. First of all I read the title of the book wrong and thought this was going go a whole different way lol. But once I realized what was going on I was all in. This book really did interweave these relationships and ppl so well! All the twists and turns (some expected some not so much) made for an exciting, heart pumping read.

Diva is the perfect example of giving a nicca an inch and he took 5 football fields 🤦🏽♀️ Her mammy ain make her situation any better with that foul advice. Now we see why her husband is acting like his name Theodis 🙄 I love the way Diva's girls are there for her, bc they are gonna need each other desperately in the future. Can't wait for PT 2!!!

What a read
This read got me on my toes. So much is going on that you don't know which way to turn first. I'm really enjoying this read. It's so hard to put down. Love is in the air as well as betrayal. I highly recommend this read.. I'm off to read the next part to this series. Omg I can't wait

This book is full of crazy drama. The characters all have too much going on. Diva and her cheating, abusive husband. Italy is confused about what she really wants and now her ex is stalking her. Plus they have family secrets that they are keeping. I can't wait for part two.

Diva unfortunately got everything she deserved because she could have been gotten out of that situation with AJ...Italy should have handled the situation with Shy differently knowing she wanted an open relationship with her...Diva and Italy's parents are doing way too much...come on book 2 p
