Priya Carmichael might not have the magical chops to consistently cast basic spells but when people need to talk to their dearly departed, Priya’s the witch they seek out. And once she’s opened the lines of communication, some ghosts reach out for her help.

Her current client is a woman with secrets and is ready to pay handsomely to contact the recently departed Devon Collins. Suspicious about the woman’s intent, Priya agrees to help Devon when he asks for her assistance. She’s happy to do what she can, even enlisting her vampire boyfriend’s computer-geek skills.

Except, this ghost has secrets of his own. As a former white-collar criminal, Devon is determined to hold Priya hostage while he takes care of the business he left behind.

This is the second novella in the Kingston Witches series. This one didn't have as much suspense as the first one. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to have been anymore published. I was all ready to binge read my way through the series. 😕
