A Quick Read FULL of Jewels
This book is quick and easy to read with its travel-related titles. In fact, I felt as if I had taken a trip around the world without leaving my chair! However, each travel nugget was accompanied by life experiences and Biblical teachings—all woven into a beautiful story of how God directs each of our lives … if we will just “hear” with our hearts. I loved the acronyms the author consistently offered with GOD as their basis.

This honest & personal book is like a warm hug from your mum or best friend. By cleverly using the analogy of travel, Carolyn Deck imparts some wise & very relatable advice for living above the turbulence that we all feel from time to time.
At the end of each chapter, Carolyn poses interesting questions for the reader to ponder, some of which relate to her Christian faith. I found these questions thought provoking despite not being religious myself.
Her travel stories & anecdotes about her family made me laugh & cry. Thank you, Carolyn, for sharing your journey & tips for life.

Reading a Personal Journal
As I read this wonderful book, I felt I was reading someone’s personal journal. The author shares her story deeply intertwined with heartache, disillusion, confusion and lies from the enemy. She takes you on her personal flight through the stormy skies, the horror of her parent’s stormy relationship , the storms of life as the enemy would have it, all the while revealing her deep-seated reliance on her faith handed down from her dad playing out in her own reliance upon the Creator who was with her through the storms, and pulled her above the turbulence to see clearly the wide open space of peace, beauty, and calm. All the scripture, all the assurances, all the hope were evident in her story of love…the love of the father. Well done.
