This book is so precious for all the little swifties out there. I picked this up while shopping in Walmart as a grown swiftie and it was so cute! I became a Swiftie at the age of 8 when Taylor released her debut album and it’s so beautiful to watch all these baby swifties get to grow up inspired by Taylor the same way I did.

I was definitely not the full target audience for this book as I am 25 and also do not have any kids of my own, but I found this book so cute anyway. It gives little kids motivation to grow up fearlessly following along the footsteps of Taylor Swift. If you have a little kid in your life definitely pick this up for them!

I know this is a picture book but I feel like the writing was very bland. Also there were only words like every 4 pages. And writing in cursive for toddlers is a unique choice. Overall, I’d say this is just a fanart book for adults with mediocre tumblr-esque quotes. The Taylor Swift Little Golden Book was much better.

Review: You know that phenomena where people have reported going to The Eras Tour and then coming back out not remembering anything about it and having like kinda a PTSD-memory-loss response because of how overwhelmingly happy they are during it? Yea… I have that with this book. I usually take notes about the book and my only note is “cute little Swiftie book”. So like yea, it’s a cute little Swiftie book! I think it would be a cute little board book to give a Swiftie who’s just had a baby or has a littlie or as a present to a beginning Swiftie… or like just any person who likes Taylor Swift. It’s adorable, it talks a bit about who Taylor Swift is and has a good message about following your passions and defying the odds.

Verdict: I’d read it again =). Highly recommend.

The publisher and OCLC are calling this a biography/nonfiction, but I think it's a picture book. Other than the illustrations and the covers (front, back and spine), this book has no real connection to Taylor Swift. With different illustrations, this book could be a generic picture book about anyone. It reminds me of a poorly written, possibly by a machine, board book that is more sappy than enjoyable, except this is a hardcover. This isn't a story; this is just affirmations.

This is a super sweet and simple book for Swifties. Written as from the voice of Andrea, “Mama Taylor”, sharing all the accomplishments of Taylor Swift. The wording is just enough on each page to keep turning with it almost sounding like a little lullaby rhyme, using words from or describing different albums. The illustrations are cute, showing Taylor grow up over time. I wish THIS book was available in a board book format!

When it was seen by another little patron on the shelf, she snatched it up and read it right there as well. She took it home though, because she wanted to read it again.
