This isn't your typical denominational history. It's thematic, not chronological, but what it does is allow the reader to understand the basic themes that drive this movement -- offering a look at four primary principles (interpretation, restoration, ecumenical, and eschatalogical), sacramental theology/practice, understandings of ministry, missions and the movement from being a group of churches to church. If you're Disciple of Christ -- you'll want to read this!
