Kenni’s life was hard enough when her dad died and became the small-town hero protecting his students. As if the anxiety of his death wasn’t enough, she was then diagnosed with Type One Chiari Malformation. She suddenly didn’t see a future for herself anymore. Her dreams of college, her ambitions—they all died with the one person who supported her more than ever.
When her mom marries Oscar, Kenni is acquainted with her new older stepbrother, Crest. But their picture-perfect family isn’t at all as it seems. Kenni finds herself in the middle of an undercover mission to eliminate a bioterrorist. When a device gets implanted into her brainstem, she is then forced to share her five senses with another. Not only does Kenni have one stepbrother, but Crest is also a twin.
Seeing Double is a page turner of high stakes and dangerous missions. This why-choose novel takes intimacy to a whole new level. In these pages you’ll travel around the world chasing after a dangerous man with plot twists you’ll never expect.
I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but let me tell you... it was a good read! The plot was fairly consistent throughout, some parts did tend to seem a little repetitive. Overall, the whole story as a piece was fantastic. Very unique and entertaining. :)
So many typos really irked me, didn’t care for the characters and felt weird and nonsensical: I just wanted a quick lighthearted holiday read but don’t know why I powered through to finish it
I was fortunate enough to be able to ARC read this book and I was blown away! From the very beginning, this book had me in a chokehold! I loved the choice to tell the entire story from Kenni's point of view while still capturing the thoughts and feelings of the other characters so incredibly well.
I am a sucker for a good Why Choose and this one is absolutely AMAZING! Seeing Double has it all: romance, witty banter, suspense, action and plenty of spice! The only thing I wish is that it didn't have to end! I laughed out loud throughout and nearly threw my kindle across the room in some real "NO WAY" moments. Whatever you think you know going in, you don't. Buckle up and get ready for an adventure!
Lacie is an amazing author and I cannot wait to see what she brings us next. In the meantime, run don't walk to get Seeing Double. You won't regret it!
This book wasn’t one I was as excited to read at first but that’s only because I’m not a huge why choose fan. I don’t let that sway my rating though and I’m trying to give it a chance with some arcs I’m reading.
This book I came in questioning if I could get passed the why choose aspect and pay more attention to the plot and the individual characters themselves. That is why I scored this a 3.75. The plot is good and the twist of the villain is good. I like the individual characters and the personality they each have. I find it interesting that their life is what it is and how each twin has his part. I like that they support the FMC even after the big event that happens and she becomes this confident and strong woman. Even when her past comes to haunt her she steps up and does why needs to be done. My only other issue I had was that I just wasn’t a s drawn in to the storyline. I feel like from the point of her going to the basement to the end it’s one thing after another. There isn’t a lot of let’s get to know each other thing just attraction and then your ours. I feel like I needed more than just their experience in Italy to make them claimed to one another. Other than that it’s a read with action, adventure, twists and past coming to haunt her. She has two very handsome talented men at her side that will stop at nothing to help her.
This book had me hooked from the first page, it is full of adventure, suspense, and action, a pretty fast read that you can get lost in for a few hours. The plot to tell the truth was quite entertaining, it had many plot twists on several occasions although I didn't manage to connect much with the characters but the plot was the most that kept me hooked wanting to know what happened next. The why choose thing was given importance but I expected a little more spice in that part, both MMCs I liked had completely different personalities which made them both interesting.
Issues such as panic attacks and additional anxiety from another illness are discussed but since it is part of the plot and is discovered later it doesn't say any spoilers, I liked the way they are handled and how both twins have an important part in how to deal with and help the FMC with what is going on in the story. Although the plot kept me entertained in some parts I felt lost because she kept jumping back and forth between scenarios and many times I didn't know where FMC was.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the ARC team, I am leaving my honest and voluntary opinion.
I cant even describe how terrible this book is. Honestly, at this point its natural selection for all of them. Kenni specifically. I’m not going to spoil it, but you know that people are out to get you and you go out in the wild waving a red flag at a bull. What do you think will happen? Words cant describe how annoyed I was with Kenni and the twins. Absolute dumbasses. Also, the one scene with OW is all Kenni’s fault and yet she blames him.
The plot was so interesting but this was not executed well at all. Some girl with a brain illness that makes her pass out and forget things, the same girl whos terrified of flying somehow is an expert at riding a motorcycle, can disassemble a gun and can sometimes fight?? I understand it might be the connection but you give no context. Also, literal days and hours pass between one sentence and the next. Nothing makes sense in this book. I can’t describe how much I hate this book.
I enjoyed reading this book and all the adventures and turns it took. This book was a roller coaster that kept me engaged and made me want a stinger of my own. I feel though, that I’m missing a big part of the relationship between Crest and Kenni because there didn’t seem to be a start, they just kinda happened into each other. I feel that I’d like to understand there was some sort of bond between them before their first plane ride together, it seemed forced to have them embrace as they did that fast with nothing but just a close encounter in Crest’s room. I understand how Trotter and Kenni could fall for each other as they’re bonded with the stinger.

Great promise and idea but the execution was definitely not there. Reads more like a first draft and needs more work tbh. Fast read and exciting but it made no sense to have an 18 year old girl go from normal every day girl to being comfortable in stabbing one of the MMCs in the thigh because she thought he betrayed her.
Really, really hated the OW scene. Like holy shit hated it. So much.
Writing style was just … no. I finished it but at around 60% it just really started going downhill. And I really hate that because the premise is good and I do like the characters and the side characters but between the writing style and execution… nope.
This was really difficult to read bc of all the grammatical errors, typos, sometimes the plot jumps around without any notice (I went back to see if I missed a page or six and…nope), plus the plot was just ridiculous. It was like a rough draft of trying to figure out how many tropes and stereotypes could be included in one predictable book. Usually there’s an element of “hmm if I change how I think about the world just a little bit, this could be kinda sorta realistic” but this book does not have that at all. The main character alternates between a dumb ditzy depressed girl and an adrenaline seeking runner/fighter/rider with no in between.
I had the great opportunity to read this as an ARC. I really gave this a 3.5.
I was super excited to read this. Overall, it was a good story and the twist was great, but I feel at times it was a little too predictable for me. I did enjoy Kenni and the twins chemistry, but not knowing who the bad guy was kind of kept the suspense going and once we found out who it was it was more about wrapping up the story.
It might just be my own kink speaking but, this book hit every box for me. Twins, step brother(s), and a James Bond-esque feel, revenge, SPICE. oh, this book was great! It kept me entertained from start to finish and that’s all I ever ask for in a book, but then you add all my favorite things and bam you have a top read of the year, well, at least for me it was in my top.
(2.5) The premise of this book was very interesting. To me it was like inspector gadget meets credence. Weird combo but it worked. I also feel like the spice was really well done. I was bothered a lot by how poorly edited the final copy was. At least on the kindle there were so many grammatical and spelling errors that at times it hindered the reading process. Even something as simple as the authors last name. I believe her last name is Chantell but on the kindle cover it spelled her last name “Chanel”. In the second half of the book it would jump forward in time without a break in paragraphs and it was confusing at times. The dialogue between characters was incredibly cheesy and cringy sometimes.
This book will have you WANTING to see DOUBLE! This book will have you in a chokehold… the twists and turns take you on one heck of a wild ride! The FMC is a total baddie and holds her own. The MMC’s are so similar yet so different but both will have you fanning yourself! The banter will have you laughing. The suspense will have you on the edge of your seat! AND the spice will have you clutching your invisible pearls!
Oh my GOODNESS 🙇🏼♀️ Lacy you are the queen of spice. 🥵 I am thankful this was a why choose novel because if this were a love triangle I would be in TATTERS! The pacing, the vibe, the banter, and the wholesome feels made this one of my top ten reads of this year easily.

Having the privilege of exploring an ARC copy, I confidently award this book a solid 4-star rating. My initial enthusiasm encountered an immersive narrative complemented by a captivating twist. Furthermore, the enigmatic threads of suspense urged me to seamlessly navigate through the pages. The dynamic interplay between Kenni and the twins contributed an enjoyable dimension, elevating the story with their engaging chemistry. Expertly blending action, adventure, and unforeseen twists, the book unfolds a captivating narrative that lingers in the reader's imagination. I can’t wait to explore more from Lacie! 🩵🩵
This book had so much potential but I felt like it fell off a little. Starting the story it didn’t feel like we were told enough about the characters and had nothing leading up to their relationship. I would’ve liked to see them get to know each other more but it didn’t feel like we got much of that.
If I had read the back of the Lacy Chantell book Seeing Double, I may not of bought it. Thankfully when it comes to books, I buy first based on a few key words (like taboo and why chose in this case) and read the backs later. This book DID NOT disappoint! The story line kept you on your toes with a little spice sprinkled in. I would absolutely read more from this author! 4⭐️ 3.5🌶️
This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. The chemistry was amazing and so was the action! The little bit of mystery kept me flipping the pages and I was thoroughly unwilling to put it down!! I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Decent story, if not a bit predictable, definitely not enough spice for me. Also, the amount of grammatical errors were frustrating. Sometimes the typos were difficult to decipher and it pulled me out of the story.
I went into this book thinking it was going to be your run of the mill smut and was pleasantly surprised at the captivating plot. Would definitely recommend as it is well balanced.
It had the draw to keep readers interested and is action packed, but some parts I feel were a bit rushed. Not enough of a turn off to keep me from trying other works from the author.
Definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat, there’s so much love and trust even with the intense moments. And the plot twist was amazingly stunning!!
action packed, danger, lies, and lots of spice. It’s the perfect mix for this book! I didn’t want to put this book down, but was reading it for book club!
