Andy Diggle is a British comic book writer and former editor of 2000 AD. He is best known for his work on The Losers,Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Adam Strange and Silent Dragon at DC Comics and for his run on Thunderbolts and Daredevil after his move to Marvel.

In 2013 Diggle left writing DC's Action Comics and began working with Dynamite Entertainment, writing a paranormal crime series Uncanny. He is also working on another crime series with his wife titled Control that is set to begin publishing in 2014.

So I'm gonna be doing a review when I finish all the issues -which is bound to be soon- 'cause they're just to short to really write a lot about them. The only thing I'll say is this, I totally loved it.

So, I guess that in a sense it'll be an RTC.

I only ordered this because I'm really liking Arrow on the CW, so I thought I might as well check out the comic. Because I have nothing to compare it to comic-wise, I thought it was pretty good. I'll check out the next one.

I purchased the 6 volumes of Green Arrow: Year One for .99 cents each at Amazon while they were having a sale. I love the TV show and wanted to see how closely they followed the comic book that the show was based on. So far it's not bad and it's a quick read at an estimated 25 pages. I wish the full edition (I believe it's called Omnibus?) was cheaper or I would have just bought that, but I saved $4 this way.

Can't really say too much about this first one because it basically showed Oliver being a rich douche and then how he ended up on the island - which is different from the show. I can see why the show went with a slightly different scenario and route with his family.

This is a collection of the comic books in the Green Arrow: Year One series. If you are a fan of the television show you will notice a similar feel from the artwork that you get from the lighting and wardrobe on the show. However, this does give a slightly different origin story for how spoiled, rich boy Oliver Queen becomes our hero Green Arrow. Both are satisfying stories just different.

Diggle writes the Green Arrow origin the character always deserved. Far reaching in its importance, as to be a key aspect of the TV series, which launched modern Superhero/comic adaptation television. Jock's style is magnificent, transporting the reader to paradise, where addiction, corruption and murder shape the emerald archer into a hero.

I liked this, but I prefer the more complicated plot of the Arrow tv series instead. This was a little too simple for such a complicated character.

It wasn't bad, the story was kind of simple and like all the other Green Arrow origin stories with some minor changes.

I've followed comics and Green Arrow long before the tv show (which is NOT well written or accurate, even tho I watch it anyway.)

It wasn't a bad read tho, it shows the events before he is on the island.
