James E. Causey is an award winning columnist, editorial writer and blogger for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He received his B.A. degree in communications from Marquette University in Milwaukee and his M.B.A. from Cardinal Stritch University in Fox Point, Wisconsin. In 2008, Causey was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University where he studied Hip Hop and its harmful affects on urban communities.
In 2011, he received a Headliner Award for editorial writing. He is a Scripps Howard Award Finalist for 2013. James is also the president of the Milwaukee Black Media Association and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and the National Association of Black Journalists-NABJ. He resides in Milwaukee and has one daughter.
