A silly story of a farmer who's farm includes 11 llamas who are rather lazy. But they do love to dance! One evening while they are dancing a chicken runs up in hysterics. With feathers flying she runs back to the hen house and the llamas decide to follow. Inside they find the hens in an uproar around a hole in the floor. Looking through, the hens' chicks can be seen. They must have fallen through the floor!

After some thought the lazy llamas come up with genius idea! They each take a turn lowering their tails down the hole and allowing the chicks to hold on as they are pulled up and out of the hole.

The chickens are happy. The llamas a pleased with themselves. But of course the farmer sees nothing but lazy llamas!

A little long for storytime but a fun read for one-on-one time.

Not impressed with the illustrations. The pictures remind me of tacky amateur painting done on wooden things you'd find at a "countrified" craft fair. Bleck.
Story is also too long!

Cute, with some endearing moments. But the story is all over the place, and the llamas' hair is too long.
