Je n'ai pas d'espoir. Cela semble incroyable que quelqu'un prenne les choses en main et puisse enfin retrouver Zac, mais je doute qu'il veuille le faire bénévolement. Cela pourrait prendre des semaines, voire des mois, pour retrouver Zac et personne ne peut consacrer autant de temps à quelqu'un sans être payé.
"Et que se passe-t-il s'il n'est jamais attrapé ?" Je demande en regardant le message et les roses qui ont été livrées à ma porte aujourd'hui.

Je regarde le dossier devant moi en serrant les dents. Comment je ne savais pas que Lily avait une fille ? Comment a-t-elle fait pour me cacher ça aussi longtemps ?

J'ai rencontré Lily et je suis tombé amoureux d'elle. Nous étions ensemble depuis huit semaines lorsqu'elle m'a demandé de l'épouser. Je n'en étais pas sûr, je savais que ça allait trop vite mais je ne pouvais pas freiner. Puis elle m’a dit qu’elle avait un cancer et la peur de la perdre a pris le dessus.

This was a spicy insta-lust/love romance between Nova and the step-daddy she never knew she had!

Nova is running from a stalker, alone and afraid, relying on a P.I. that was recommended to her.

Remy is a shock to her system. Not only is he dangerously attractive but he drops the bomb that he was married to her estranged-now-deceased mother! With no other option, Nova and Remy team up to find her stalker and along the way, fall in love.

This was a fun read that takes off right from the start. Our MCs try to fight their attraction but when they're forced to spend the night in close proximity, things quickly heat up :)

There is that sense of taboo/forbidden attraction but both MCs embrace their attraction without any drawn out drama. Nova does question Remy's easy acceptance of his feelings for her and his quick change of heart when it comes to Lily because one minute he was in love with his wife (he hasn't been with anyone in years/Lily died five years ago, so he's remained celibate) then in a period of hours/days, he's in love with Nova. It also seemed odd that he admits to jumping fast into love and marriage with Lily but somehow Nova is different? Even though he also jumped fast into their relationship. He proposed to Lily after 8 weeks. He proposed to Nova after almost 7 weeks. It might not bother most readers but I wish that we were shown more in actions and words that Nova was special and their loving lasting and not just a crazy purely physical whim that Remy runs with.

Overall a good read that I'll probably read again simply for the smut! *chef's kiss* even if the romance is a little on the lighter side.

Ages : Nova is 22and Remy's age isn't disclosed but I'd guess in his 40s, maybe even 50s

Heat Level: 5/5 --> It's spicy. Love scenes are explicit and there is dirty talk galore!

OM/OW drama : Not really. Remy was married to Nova's mom, Lily for nine months, before she passed away. Nova hadn't seen or spoken to her mom since she was 13 because her parents divorced and her father moved her across the country. Remy does have feelings for his wife when he meets Nova but that changes pretty quick and there isn't any remorse or guilt over his new love.

Kinks : Dirty talk and explicit language. Mild praise and breeding kink :)

Triggers : Double dipping/Too small world. It's a little bit of an ick factor that Remy slept with and at one point loved both Lily and her daughter Nova. In Romancelandia this can be explained away but IRL this is too OTT Jerry Springer style so I still feel off when I read this :)

HEA/HFN : Ends on a HFN and marriage proposal.

Stella Bella did an amazing job writing Twisted Daddy which is part of the Sweet but Twisted Christmas Series. Stella delivered an original plot that really grasped my attention the minute I began reading. This little gem packed some heat and provided just the right amount of action making this book one entertaining read. Remy and Nova were perfect for one another and I adored these two. I found it very easy to connect with both of them. I was cheering for Nova and Remy to finally find the happiness they deserved. Stella breathed life into a heart warming Christmas story that I am sure will be loved by many.

Nova is continuously moving to try and escape Zac who has been stalking her for months. She has documented everything, but there is nothing law enforcement can do for her because Zac somehow manages to escape every single time without a trace. Everything changes when Nova meets Remy who is a private investigator. The air is charged with intense electricity the minute their eyes meet. There is a chemistry shared between Remy and Nova that they try to fight off, but really it was a losing battle before it even started. Remy will do everything he can to locate Zac and keep Nova out of harms way. Can Remy keep Nova safe or will she become another statistic? Is it possible for them find a happily ever after or will a common thread keep them apart?

Nova has a big problem. She is being stalked by a man who keeps escalating. The police have had no luck in finding him but the police detective recommends contacting a private investigator who won't be bound by the rules that the police have to follow. Nova agrees to let the police detective share her information. When the investigator arrives, Nova is very drawn to him but then she learns some disturbing news. Nova's parents got divorced when she was a teen and her dad got custody. He took her across the country and she never saw her mother again. When she turned 18, she tried to find her mother but she learned that her mother died from the cancer she had been fighting. What she never learned was that her mother remarried and her husband was Remy.

Remy was shocked when he heard about Nova. He had been married to her mother but never knew that she had a daughter. When he meets Nova, he is surprised by how attracted to her he was. His time with Nova has him wondering if he even knew his wife at all. She never told him about Nova or the cancer she suffered from until she was dying. However his feelings for Nova keep growing. He won't let the fact that she was his stepdaughter to keep him from claiming Nova as his. He will protect her from her stalker.

This might be my newest favorite Stella Bella story ❤️ it’s got everything I love in a good book: romance, drama, heart and a beautiful ending 🥰

Seriously, this story is FANTASTIC! In a weird twist of fate, the FMC ends up seeking out the help of a PI, recommended to her by the detective helping her with her stalker. The PI ends up being the step-father she never knew of because she hadn’t seen her mom in the years before she died.

As you can imagine, that was tough on all parties involved because he didn’t know about her either. I love how protective he is and how he helps her when she’s at her wits end and afraid to be murdered. He’s sweet, caring, protective and hot 😉

They work together and I love seeing their relationship blossom. When they finally get together, it’s SPICY 🔥 The story is very bittersweet and the ending’s beautiful.

Another hot read from Stella!!

Twisted Daddy is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, Christmas themed, girl gets her stepdad romance. Nova is a 23 year old on the run from her deranged, stalker ex. Remy is the hunky PI who vows to protect her. He was also married to her late mother (although he didn't know about Nova). As the two spend time together, their instant attraction grows even stronger until they finally give in. And it is hot 🔥! I thought my Kindle was going to melt 😅. Can Remy keep her safe? And can they admit this is more than a fling? I loved the chemistry between these two and how protective Remy was with her. We also got a happy ending but would have loved a glimpse into their future.

Nova (h) lives her life on edge due to a stalker who won’t stop, and she turns to private investigator Remy (H) to help track the stalker down. She’s stunned to find out that the widowed Remy is her former stepfather, never having known that her mother remarried. As the two get to know one another, Remy and Nova find themselves drawn to one another, and he realizes he’ll do whatever he has to to protect her from her stalker. Loved how Remy helped Nova reconnect with her father, even as they realized how little they really knew about her mother. Hot and steamy Christmastime romance with a side of suspense and danger.

Nova is scared and on the run. She is being stalked by a man she went on three dates with. The police have not been able to catch him. She turns to a PI for help. Remy is a Pi, he is also a widow. Once he reviews Nova’s file he realizes that he was married to her mom. He also realizes that he didn’t really know the woman he married.
He vows to protect Nova, even though she should be off limits he can’t stay away.
This is a great short read. Remy is all alpha male with a big ole side of cinnamon roll. Nova is scared, and Remy protects her, steals her heart and helps mend her relationship with her father.

This was a great romance that had unexpected layers and a fair bit of suspense. Nova is on the run from a stalker and ends up hiring Remy, a PI to help track down her stalker and to keep her safe. When he reads her file, though, he's in for the shock of his life when he finds out Nova is his dead wife's daughter...leaving him reeling with how much he didn't know about her in the short time they were married. Nova had no idea her mother re-married, so yeah, drama all around. Of course, there's danger all around, too. I really enjoyed how this one unfolded, with family, action, danger and great steam keeping me well glued to my reader :D

A great book by Stella Bella that leaves me wanting more. When Nova is stalked by an ex, Remy is hired to find her ex only they discover a very interesting connection between Remy and Nova’s deceased mother. Remy and Nova are instantly attracted to each other and although they know it is very wrong to connect their attraction is just too strong and they must act on their feelings. Although this book was a novella it still had all the angst and drama of a full length novel and I loved reading it and loved Remy and Nova very much.

A second chance

I love that from the ashes of disappointment, delivered by the one person they should each have been able to rely on, they find security and happiness together. It makes me chuckle that Remy tells himself he has resisted for so long...hilarious! But he and Nova just click, they work so well together and are a naughty but sweet couple. My only grumble is that there are some inconsistencies, the big one for me is that Nova lives in a one bedroom cottage, so Remy has to sleep on the couch...but just weeks later when her dad comes to stay he is snoring in the spare room?

This was a great quick novella and just what I needed today.
It is a sweet story between the main characters with a stalker added into the mix. I always says it’s not really a good story if there is no stalker, shooting, kidnapping etc involved, but that may just be me.

Although it is only a short novella, the time span is not over a couple of days which so often seems to happen but over several weeks giving an actual realistic element to being able to solve the problem.
I can’t wait to read more of these books.

When Nova can't take any more of the stalker she finds PI Remy, and a lot more, when she discovers her late mother remarried and he was herbstepfather who knew nothing about her, or much of her mother for that matter. Butbas these two work closely will the sizzling chemestry ignite between them? Well written steamy age gap off limits desires protection romance.

I loved this story by Stella Bella. I can't get enough of her stories. Nova has a stalker and she is at her wit's end. Her last resort is getting a Private Investigator, Remy Fitzgerald. He never knew that his wife had an adult child before she died. When he meets Nova, he knows his life will change for the better. Will he be able to keep her safe?.

This was the first book I’ve read in the Sweet but Twisted Christmas series and I can’t wait to read more!
As always Stella wrote a short, quick, and very steamy romance. I liked the age gap, forbidden, and the little bit of drama/suspense that this book delivers.

Nova and Remy's story pulled me from the beginning. I absolutely loved it. Nova has a creep of a stalker on her tail and Remy is floored to learn that his deceased wife had kept secrets. Definitely worth a read.
