Caught between the comfort of her old life and the allure of new love, Lola has a heartrending decision to make.
Lola King has always been comfortable in her predictable Amish lifestyle. But when her sister's engagement forces her to face change, she finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Frederick Scythe, a visitor from Oregon. As their shared love for books slowly kindles a deeper connection, Lola must choose between her old life and a new love that could transform everything she's ever known.
When Lola agrees to help Frederick, the owner of a struggling bookstore, she unexpectedly uncovers a new chapter of her life. In the bustling charm of Paul’s Peak, their shared passion for books ignites a bond that reshapes their futures. Lola finds herself faced with a decision - return to her comfortable life in Faith's Creek, or embrace an uncertain yet enticing future in Oregon with Frederick.
This heartwarming tale of love, faith, and the courage to embrace change is steeped in Amish traditions and the vibrant allure of a close-knit community. Join Lola as she grapples with questions about love, home, and personal transformation, learning that sometimes, the most rewarding risks are the ones taken by the heart.
Lola is at a loss when her sister marries but agrees to accompany the pair and David’s cousin back to Oregon to launch David’s children’s book at Frederick’s book store. Frederick and Lola are kindred spirits about books, bookstores, and libraries. You’ll have to read the rest yourself but I’m not seeing much involvement from the quilting circle again so I’m wondering if the series label is appropriate.
This book weaves together several characters' agendas and character traits that seem to conflict. But through faith and courage they come together in joy and growth for all concerned. Much more satisfying than the usual trite "happily ever after."
