One lovestruck woman. Three handsome boyfriends—and strangers. A unique dating adventure awaits in a hilarious and heartwarming romantic comedy by New York Times bestselling author Jeneva Rose.
A guy told me he loved me tonight.
Peyton Sanders hopes it’s not too late to say it back. Done with dead-end relationships and swiping right, she knows who her heart belongs to. But as she races to tell him how she feels, she’s hit by a car and wakes up with amnesia. It gets worse. Peyton has no clue who the three men who show up at her hospital bed are except they each claim to be her boyfriend.
They’re certainly worth remembering. A rustic-looking contractor—heaven in flannel. A tailored consultant with a smile to die for. And a tattooed chef with a box of homemade chocolates, both delicious. Peyton’s friends Maya and Robbie have an idea: date each man again. Recognizing her soulmate should be as easy as one, two, three.
On a wildly romantic and dizzyingly funny journey, Peyton runs once again toward love. This time, hopefully, her heart can guide her where her mind cannot.

Rating this 5 stars because I had fun writing it. It made me laugh, cry, and swoon — which is kind of weird, since I made it all up. But I got really attached to some of the characters, and I wish they were real. Maybe I should talk to someone about that or get out more. 🤔😂
Another great Buddy Read with my Honey Bee Cara 💖💐 Thanks for reading this one with me. I had fun trying to figure out who our man was haha
“The heart loves. The brain thinks. And sometimes, the two don’t agree.”
Brief Summary- Imagine waking up from a coma with no memory, and three men are standing at the end of your hospital bed claiming to be your man?! 🥴 and on top of that your nurse decides to be messy and say “Oh. Well this is quite the predicament then. It’s like my two favorite shows combined, Grey’s anatomy and The Bachelor” 😭
Well the exactly what happen to my girl Peyton. Finally tired of the dating life she finally figures out who she loves and is overwhelmed with feelings of happiness. On her way to go get man she is hit by a car and wakes up with no memory.. You follow Peyton and her friends that are on a mission to figure out who was the man Peyton is in love with. It’s definitely a rollercoaster so buckle up.
"Even Though my brain sometimes make me regret my choices, that love in my heart is so much stronger, and it alone will carry me to my next life” 🥹💘
My Thoughts- I without a doubt throughly enjoyed this story. Marketed as a romance novel I would say, this is the perfect blend of humor, romance, and friendship. This was a heartfelt novel. Romance wasn’t the only thing keeping this story going. It also a story of a woman finding herself again. I was laughing with and swooning over the characters. It's a very cute story.
The book was filled with endearing characters. They all had such a big personality that kept you engaged throughout their journey in helping Peyton overcome her amnesia.
🧁Peyton is a well liked FMC. You couldn’t help but root for her while she tried putting the puzzle pieces together in finding out who the love of her life is.
🧁Mya is my new bestie. She is definitely the best friend ever girl wants in her life. She reminded me of IIana Glazer the actress in Broad City. She is stand up comedian and Peyton best friend. She is spunky and hilarious. She add such a fun element to this story.
🧁Robbie aka my new man. He is apart of Peyton’s very close friend group. He is such a sweetheart. I instantly fell in love with when he was first introduced in the book. He wanted nothing more than for Peyton to be happy and to find her man.
🧁Debbie is Peyton’s “aunt” and she is also one of my favorite characters. She reminded me of that old school fun aunt that is also very hippy dippy but has a lot of knowledge in life. She was a great addition to Peyton’s pack.
The Suitors- 🧁Nash- The-“Adam Levine looks alike” don’t worry he doesn’t have the slime ball personality like Adam lol. IYKYK. Nash is a executive chef. We all love a man that can cook 😊 He had a very sweet and shy personality.
🧁Tyler- The “less buff Chris Hemsworth with Thor hair” typical blue collar flannel wearing man. He seemed to have a big ego that I didn’t really care for.
🧁Shawn- The “Young Denzel” ahhh although Shawn was very stuck up and always busy with work he did drop some very important life lessons that we all could use lol
So who is the love of her life???👀
” It’s better to live with a broken heart than to never let anyone into it in the first place”
This book is under 300 pages so the writing and pace was great in my opinion. I was never bored and I was throughly engaged while reading this book. I highlighted so many quotes. “Inspirational quotes” go crazy in this book. I think the ending was perfect. Mostly everyone had a happy ending.
This is the third book I’ve read from the author and I haven’t been let down yet. I definitely recommend this fun rom-com. It’s a quick easy read but you definitely find yourself in all the feels.
“Follow your heart. It’ll never steer you wrong”

Just when Peyton Sanders can see clearly who her true love and soulmate is, she is struck by a car. Days later, she wakes up with a head injury and amnesia. She has two best friends Maya and Robbie by her side.
Three handsome guys also visit her. They were all dating her before the accident; a contractor, a chef, and a consultant. Only if she remembers which is THE ONE!!
It's a Date -Again is entertaining, like a mini Bachelorette with swoon-worthy guys. Maya and Robbie are terrific close-knit friends. I enjoy their banter. Everyone needs a Maya and a Robbie in their lives! This feel-good romcom with a HEA is set in Chicago during the rainy and windy fall into Christmas and makes a terrific seasonal read.

This is Jeneva Rose’s first foray into the RomCom genre and all I can say is, “WHY DIDN’T SHE DO THIS SOONER!?!?”
I had high expectations that it would hit the comedy marks given her hilarious social media but what I was surprised by (but shouldn’t have been) is how heartfelt it was and how incredibly developed the characters and their relationships were. I laughed and swooned and cried but all in a good way. This is like a perfect blend of the humor and heartfelt notes from The Girl I Was, mixed with the more romantic elements of You Shouldn’t Have Come Here. I even want entire spin-offs of some of the side characters. That’s how amazing the cast is and their interactions.
This is another 5 star outing from Jeneva (I mean let’s be real, she never misses) and one you will definitely want to devour on release!
I’m not sure what else I expected in a story following a woman re-dating three men after losing her memories, but the humour was too unrealistic and over-the-top for me.
Mere minutes before Peyton Sanders is ready to confess her love to THE ONE, she gets hit by a car, waking up with retrograde amnesia and three men at her hospital door vowing they are her perfect match.
This reminded me a lot of Skip to the End in that it was obvious from the very beginning who Peyton would end up with. I liked the final choice, but there wasn’t a strong enough focus on their relationship to convince me of their chemistry.
This might be a better fit for a reader who doesn’t mind suspending their disbelief for the silliness and fun of the story.
(heat level: closed door)
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
This is the third book I’ve read by Jeneva Rose and once again she didn’t disappoint although this story was very different from her usual books genre-wise.
Peyton wakes up in a hospital bed after an accident with her two allegedly best friends at her side but no memories whatsoever. Suddenly three guys appear in her room, all of them claiming to be her boyfriend.
Before we get to this part though, we meet Peyton in the moments preceding said accident. She’s in tears. A man just told her he loved her but she turned him down, saying she doesn’t feel the same. With the help of a total stranger on the street she realizes that she actually does return his feelings and wants nothing more than to tell him. So she rushes on, into a moving car.
As the reader you get a suspicion quite early who it was Peyton was rushing toward but I absolutely didn’t mind but found it actually pretty exciting to follow her while she figures it out.
This story was not as rom-com-ey as I expected it to be and knowing other works of the author I was a bit worried about her usual unexpected plot twists but I had the bestest time with this book and couldn’t stop listening. And I loved the ending so hard. (especially when it came to the stranger from the beginning.) ♡
♡ "i'd rather love you for a minute than love anyone else for a lifetime" ♡
5 ⭐️
this isn't my first book by jeneva, but it is my first rom com by her. now i can't tell what i love better, her thrillers or her romance novels!! this was the cutest story and i was in full on tears by the end of it! i'm so glad i picked this one up.
📖 plot & pace: this book starts with the FMC, Peyton, realizing she's in love with someone and rushing to tell him. but she's hit by a car on the way, ending up with a brain injury and amnesia. 3 guys show up at the hospital, claiming to be her boyfriend. since she has no memories, she decides to date them all again to find out who she was in love with. the pacing was just right for a rom com. it was light and definitely bingeable! although i did guess the ending by chapter 5, this was honestly one of my favorite reads and i have no regrets.
👥 characters: every single character was so lovable.. well actually, Tyler was kind of a douche, but everyone else i was IN LOVE with. Peyton, Robbie and Maya had such a deep bond & the perfect friendship. everyone in this story added something special!
🤩 tropes: amnesia, love triangle, found family
i'd recommend this to any rom com lover (and anyone who needs a good cry) i absolutely LOVE jeneva so much!
A very different genre for Jeneva Rose. Falling under rom-com. No spice. Lots of humor. Very silly- sweet.
Did I like it? Yes, it was a fun listen. Would I recommend it? Maybe. I’ll share my yays and nays and let you be the judge.
Premise: 30- something Payton, on her way to profess her love to an unnamed suitor after having a life/love affirming discussion with a homeless man, gets into an accident and has temporary amnesia. In to the hospital room walks 3 men from her online dating history (who found out about her accident through an instagram post…). With the help of her BFF’s Maya and Robbie, she re dates these men to try and figure out which one she was running to before the accident. As the story unfolds we follow along on her dates, learn about her past, learn about her relationship with her friends Maya and Robbie. Alas there are the standard twists along the way and of course the ending you either will figure out early on or be surprised. I figured it out- then didn’t. Then I knew it!
😀- set in Chicago. This is always a win for me. Quick read < 300 pages. Lots of humor! There’s a Nickelback segment that had me in stitches and if you know the history behind the band Nickelback you will have a good laugh too! (I, personally, am a fan of the band lol). HEA- my favorite ending!!! Supporting characters Maya Debbie and Nash were very well written.
😩 Inner monologue- enough already Payton! I’m not a fan of inner monologue and this went on and on. I’d prefer more conversation between characters rather than conversation in one’s own head. Robbie- the most passive aggressive whiney baby of a man. Yuck. No thanks. He was relentless. This was almost too sweet. I like rom com/HEA and a cute little story but this one allllmost too much. Might need some Tums afterwards….
All in all cute safe quick read. Available on kindle unlimited with audio.

📖 “Follow your heart. It’ll never steer you wrong.”
This was such a cute romcom, I could not devour it quick enough. It was so hard to put this book down because the writing is spectacular and I was hooked from page one. I loved every turn and loop that leads to a heartwarming ending.
I love Jeneva’s thriller but this light hearted, cute read hit me just right. Jeneva please write more romcoms!
****Many thanks to Montlake, NetGalley, and Jeneva Rose for the gifted copy in turn for an honest review.
This was just what I needed. I had been quite bored lately with my audios but I finally stumbled on this and it was just what I was looking for. A lighthearted story, where we work backwards to uncover who Payton loves, because just after she realises and can tell him she gets into an accident and gets amnesia. Then 3 guys shows up at the hospital claiming she was dating all of them. As she recovers she has to get to know each of them again and go on dates to discover which is her true love. Even though I guessed the ending 15% in, it didn't detract from this cute story as it was all about the journey.
I typically LOVE Jeneva Rose books. This one was a rom com and it really felt like a lifetime or hallmark movie. It kinda fell short for me. I saw exactly what was happening as soon as the book started and was a little disappointed there wasn't some huge twist to jar me. It was still a lighthearted and easy read however so I have NO RAGRETS but I had higher expectations.
Looking forward to more of Jeneva Rose twisty books in the future.
I was unsure about this one initially, as the first chapter felt pretty cheesy to me. But I’m glad I stuck with it because it was pretty cute! Yes, it was predictable from a very early point, but it’s a rom-com, not a mystery, so I’m okay with it. I enjoyed Peyton’s journey to figure out what we all knew from the beginning ☺️

I live with a curse in that I can't not finish reading a book once I have started it!! Having said that, I would describe It's A Date (Again) by Jeneva Rose as a fast, frivolous and remotely entertaining read after I got past so many of the flagrant mistakes in the beginning. I mean seriously, being discharged from a major accident where you've been in a coma for 4 days the day you wake up from it and, it's discovered you have amnesia? Or better yet, being discharged to the care of non- family members or in this case 2 people who "claim" to be your friends? And best of all, allowing 3 men claiming to be your boyfriend who you obviously don't remember, and these "friends" never heard of, come into your hospital room to "galk" while your dating life is being planned out as if its an episode if The Bachelorette.
I intended for a light read after having just finished reading a pretty intense book but I definitely wasn't looking to insult my intelligence.
The one saving grace here was a cute ending where the author weaved a few of the pieces together.
If you’re in search of your next swoony happy read, look no further! It’s A Date (again) follows Peyton as she is rushing to confess her love when she is hit by a car. She wakes up in the hospital with amnesia, and then three different men show up claiming to be her boyfriend. So which one was she rushing to meet?
You may be used to reading the mysteries in Jeneva Roses novels, and you still have that mystery element here in trying to determine who Peyton’s true love is. If you’re a fan of her work, I’d definitely recommend you read this one!
This romcom was such a fun read! It never drug on and I absolutely loved the ending. Jeneva, please write more romcoms in the future because this reader wants more of your love stories. “Frankly, I’d read your grocery lists.”
Not the worst book I've ever read but definitely not the best. Was super predictable, by page forty I knew the ending and was reassured throughout. I did not like Robbie at all, I imagined him as Topher Grace in Win a date with Todd Hamilton. All the characters were annoying. I'm not a hallmark movies type of girl and that's exactly what this book is, A hallmark vibe. I'll stick to jeneva rose's murder mysteries from here on out.
It’s A Date (Again) by Jeneva Rose. Thanks to the author for the gifted Arc ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When Peyton realizes who she loves, she rushes to tell him but gets hit by a car. Waking up with amnesia, she has three boyfriends come to visit.
I think I could read the dictionary if Jeneva Rose wrote it. I’m finding that she’s one of my favorite authors, despite the genre. This was such a cute and fun story, but also sentimental and romantic. I had a really fun time reading it and ended with very happy feelings. It was a short and sweet read and really just perfect.
“I’d rather love you for a minute than love anyone else for a lifetime.”
Though rom-com is not the typical genre for Jeneva Rose I normally am sucked into her books by her wonderful writing style so I figured I would enjoy this book. Boy, was I wrong! Not only did I enjoy this book it is one of my favorites for the year! The characters in this book are fabulous. They were each realistic, fun, interesting and relatable. Being that it is a very character-centered storyline it helps that the characters have depth and likability. Peyton is looking for her true love. She knew who he was once but tragedy struck and she lost her memories of the person she was planning to give her heart away to. So know her friends Maya, Robbie and Debbie are helping her figure out if it's one of the three men she was dating. Each man is very different from the others and she is hoping her heart will lead her to the right guy once again. Though I predicted who was her ultimate match, the journey that Peyton had to go on to determine who was truly in her heart was fabulous. I felt all the emotions that she was going through and could tell she would make the right choice in the end. There were some points in the book that had me laughing out loud. Maya was hilarious and her stand up routine was memorable! I highly recommend this entertaining and delightful book! The storyline is leisurely paced and engrossing. It is definitely a book you could read in a day but I took my time to enjoy getting to know these well-developed characters. I am extremely grateful to Montlake Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of this lighthearted book in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love Jeneva Rose, she is hilarious!! (Follow her on Instagram if you don't already!). The beginning of the acknowledgements - LOL.
Anyway, this book! Similar to The Perfect Marriage, I once again predicted the ending very early in the book - before 20%. Regardless, I found the story very enjoyable, and the characters were so well written!! Despite the predictability, I found it to be an enjoyable, entertaining and really fun read! My favourite part was probably the Nickelback scene... so funny!!
I love this author!! This particular book by her is short but was pretty good! I shelved it under cozy mystery, but it's more like a cute little mystery of love! The premise was intriguing! And I enjoyed the story very much! True love prevails circumstances!
Picture it…you’ve been dating forever…several men in fact. You finally know who you love…then you get hit by a car (of course! 🤦🏼♀️) and forget who you love…and well, everything else too.
Peyton isn’t going to let a little amnesia stop her from figuring out which of the 3 men is her true love, but she’s going to need a lot of help.
In comes…Maya, Debbie and Robbie. These people are the types of humans you want, 𝙉𝙀𝙀𝘿, in your life. They are so devoted to helping Peyton recover from her TBI, so she can figure out which guy, out of 3 possible suitors, is the one she truly loves.
The writing is on the wall pretty early on in this one but it’s so fun with each turn of the page to see each scene play out. The pacing is perfect and I was totally invested the entire time. It’s the type of book you can read in 1 sitting.
I loved the relationships in this book and how they developed.
Also, if you’ve ever wondered (as I have), why the world seems to hate on Nickelback so bad…Jeneva will clue you in. I never understood it but now I know. Lol. Thanks Jeneva 🤣😂🤣
I absolutely recommend this book. It just further proves that Jeneva Rose can write any genre (sorry Scott).
