Decent tan, new friends and a freshly waxed board, Quentin is fully psyched for an epic Senior Summer in glorious Venice Beach California. Plans change, Nirvana evaporates, and he suddenly finds himself following Dad off on yet another project, this time to what has to be the Most Boring Place on Earth.
Arriving in Nowhere, he barely has time to get a woe on before international terrorists and a certain redhead blow the whole dynamic wide open.
I critiqued this story as a beta reader, but I have not met the author. I strongly urged Ponk to publish this book and purchased a copy as soon as it was available on Kindle. This review is of the finished book. I strongly recommend it.
Is Quentin homeless? That is the first question. That may be true, but I will not attempt to answer that for you (?) Is Chelsea for real, or too wonderful? My answer is she is a remarkable young lady, and a perfect fit for Quentin. Is their a love story here?
A group of interesting youngsters confronting a reality most of us can't imagine. International intrigue, unbelievable events, adventure encountered right in their backyard. Will there be a thermonuclear war? Do some of the scenes it stretch the limits of probability? Possibly, but perhaps not.
I give you no details because don't want to give away any of the story. If you want an adventure story with characters you will be drawn to and a tale that will keep you engaged until the end, this is it.
