Katana Collins is a USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels, novellas, and comic books in a variety of genres. She is most known for her sensual contemporary romances and her wildly popular comic book— Batman White Knight Presents: Harley Quinn with DC Comics.

When she was younger and stole her mother’s Harlequins to read beneath the covers with a flashlight, she wanted to read about the tough as nails heroine. The perfectly imperfect girl with quirks and attitude and sass. And the anti-heroes who were anything but “Prince Charming.” Forget the knight on a white horse … she wanted the bad boy on a motorcycle.

An avid animal lover, she lives in Portland, Maine with her kind of mean cat, derpy lab-pitt mix, mellow chihuahua, and very not mellow cairn terrier puppy. Oh, yeah… there’s a husband somewhere in that mix, too.

She can usually be found in a coffee shop with her nose buried in a laptop wearing fabulous (albeit sometimes impractical) shoes.

She loves connecting with book lovers like herself, and fellow sassy storytellers, so feel free to drop her an email, visit her on her website. She also loves connecting on Instagram, Facebook or in her reader group, Kat’s Kittens!

When going into this book I did not really know what the whole succubus thing was. It told me. :P A demon who must have sex in order to recharge their life-force.

Monica-the succubus in question had previously been an angel but she fell. I didn't realize this was the third part of a series when I started it so I don't know the whole story of why she no longer was in heaven.
This book started pretty decently and then well..Mary Sue became to be.

Monica is that perfect woman..who all the men fall over themselves to be with. Bleck. She really doesn't take care of herself like I wanted her too. I mean damn..she is a demon with some witchcraft powers. You would think she could kick some ass.
But no.

I did finish the book and there were moments I really liked. I can not say that I will hunt down the rest of the series though.
I did like the sex. Cuz I'm a perv like that. More of a 2.5 starred book.

*** I have received an ARC via NetGalley ***

The book "Soul Surrender" was my first book by Katana Collins and it is the third book in the Soul Stripper Series; since I didn't know the previous books, found it a bit hard to read without the background, the knowledge of the other characters and the magical world the author established before.

But I did enjoy the plot -and it was a hot book!-, a succubus, who needs sex to survive?
It loosely reminded me of one of my favorite TV Series, "Lost Girl" ;) all that life force stealing, err, sucking and complicated love life of the heroine Monica played an interesting part in the plot, where an unknown force wants her killed.

It's an entertaining read, but make sure you've read the previous books of the Soul Stripper Series, otherwise you might get confused.

PS: I'll make sure to read the other books ;) I'm doing this backwards, but well - I'm glad I discovered Katana Collins!

Wow, just wow. We are back in full force with Monica working it on stage, and her new main squeeze, Damien, sitting front and center. I gotta say right off that I like the two of them together. He gets her, and she doesn’t have to worry about sucking the life out of him…. literally. It’s just a flash, but when Monica thinks she sees Drew her world begins to spin.

All the players are back - trying to keep an eye on Monica and keep the fallen angel safe from the bounty on her head. A visit from Buckley, the one responsible for her fall from grace, sets in motion the disappearance of her boss, friend and protector Lucien.

Much time is spent going back and forth from present to past with Monica and Lucien. It really did change the way I look at their relationship. So much is revealed about Lucien and his past, and it plays very much into the ending of Soul Surrender.

The action was awesome, the banter is witty and funny, and the sex as always is hot and spicy, but what moved me the most was Monica’s love for all the people around her, even the ones that don’t really deserve it. I supposed that once an angel of such purity and love, no matter what happens, you can’t change the goodness deep within.

From what I gather in the end, this is the last book in the series. Although I am sad to see it end, I really did like these characters. I will say - I was a bit perplexed with the choice of ending. It seemed to be lacking somehow. It needed fireworks and I got a sparkler instead. I guess after all the struggle and heartache I wanted an epic ending, but it was more of an ‘eh?’

All in all, I give it 4 stars and if I am to rate the series as a whole 5 coffee swilling, pheromone wafting stars! ((winky face))

Authoress Katana Collins has managed to both thrill and titillate audiences with the first two books in the Soul Stripper series. Her third offering, Soul Surrender, does not disappoint on either count.

It seems that things have gone from bad to worse for Monica. There is still a bounty on her head, Drew has gone missing from Hell, and Lucian...well let's just say that he has been stolen...for lack of a better explanation.
And that's just the first few chapters!
This series has been an edge-of-your seat, sinfully sexy, paranormal plot parade from the very start, and Soul Surrender has proven to be all that and more.

While Monica is allowed to strut her sexy succubus stuff just as she has in previous reads; the sensual side of things takes a welcome backseat this ride, making way for a story that has to be read!
Where the last book allowed Damien and Lord Buckley's stars to shine; this one is all about Lucian,
or I should say, Lucian's disappearance.
It seems that the Adonis of Arch-demons has gone missing and the list of people and reasons for his disappearance gets longer and more dangerous as the story progresses.
Uping the "feels" ante just a bit more is a flashback to an earlier assignment involving Monica and Lucian in 1776. Yep, that's right. During the Revolutionary War. Care to hazard a guess as to what side they were on?

I could and would happily go on to divulge more of the many sordid and drool worthy goings on, but in the interest of time and non spoilage...I won't.

What I will say is that this is the third and hopefully not the final book in what has proven to be a stellar Urban Fantasy series. If you like stories where bad isn't always bad, sinners have souls, and good isn't always good for you...look no further.

Wow!! I really liked this book!! The characters are strong and the plot was very good!! The fact that Monica has always had Lucian and Jules as protectors and now Damian and Drew takes an intentional hit on her pshyche. Monica realizes how much Lucian did protect her and kept her in the dark. These new found powers that she discovers are pretty bad ass!! Now, the fact that she has no idea why she has them and dealing with a hit out on her really stumps her. She has to find out why and fight to find a friend all the while trying to wait to hear from Drew the love of her life, but the one she can never have. Monica can not take the risk of sex with him and taking some of his life force. I enjoyed this writers style all the while having two stories in one. You get Monica's and Lucian's past and it really had me teary eyed. The love she has for the people in her life is emotional and makes for a good intense read. You want her to be happy, but all the while not losing Damian!!! My heart was torn. That is what Makes it a GREaT read!!!

I received this ARC from the author via Net Galley for my honest review. Thanks Net Galley!

I loved this series. Engrossing from start to finish. Captivating..finishing it in 3-4 sittings. Another FIVE STARS for sure! I thought Soul Surrender was an outstanding capstone to the series. It brought the ending to a surprising, and yet completed feeling. It left me happy. But I did wonder until the end if this would happen. Excellent read from book one all the way through.

Being a resident of Portland I am thrilled that Katana's upcoming series takes place in our fair city. I can't wait to read the next delectable saga in her provocative and vivid story telling. You go girl!

Final book in a really fun fast read series. I loved the characters in this book, every-last-one. I know it seems a little cliche' a succubus stripper, angel fallen from heaven and all but it's a really good series. Monica's humor kept me chuckling, Lucien's struggle with ArchDemon pimp daddy who still loves his God as he too is a a fallen angel, Drew-well a whole new Drew has come to town, Damien*sigh*what to say about Damien.....there are just to many great characters to mention. I'm a bit disappointed in how quickly it ended, I felt like I was standing there with them and my mouth hanging open catching flies. I would be thrilled to read spin offs of this series and see what becomes of Julian, Damien, Kayce, George and the rest of the crew.
Happy Reading

I absolutely loved this trilogy. This was a killer ending to the series that I never saw coming.
I love the twist on the Angel, Demon world and the earthly beings. I will definitely be reading more of this author books, due to her amazing story telling and awesome characters.
If you are a fan of sexy as hell , supernatural, Angel's and demons reads, you will absolutely enjoy these books.

First things first... this is NOT a stand alone... this is book three and you really must start with book one or it won't have the same impact. I've been invested in this series since book one and so I was ready and waiting for this final installment.
The whole gang returns for book three and Monica finds herself in a bit of a conundrum. She has a mark on her head and still doesn't know who is after her. She is also being pulled between Julian, the angel who was once her mentor... Drew, the man she has always loved but has purposely stayed away from to ensure his soul is untarnished by her succubus power... Our hot, steamy and oh so dreamy elemental Damien who for all sense and purposes is her perfect match because he is unaffected by her power... and then there is the blast from her past Lord Buckley, the sorcerer. So, will she settle for a consolation prize or will she finally get to be with the one who has always held her heart? You will find out by the end of this book... :)
I personally was a huge, huge, fan of Damien... and, my heart went out to his character. I would love to see him get his own book! Out of all of the characters, I felt he was the one who deserved Monica's love the most. It was his character that made me love book two!
In this book we find out more about Lucien, her demon boss. And, I have to say, I love his character so much more now that I know his whole story. There is so much more to Monica and the power she holds that surprises everyone, even her. And, I really liked how the author turned her character around and connected all of the dots.
My only complaint with book three was the very rushed ending... with all that Monica went through in all three books it seemed like the ending would have packed a bigger action punch! I've always felt bad for Monica because being forced to steal souls for hell instead of saving them for heaven was always something she was heavily conflicted about and I couldn't wait to see how the author worked all this out. And, I was happy for Monica in the end...
Since Monica is a succubus this series is very, very erotic and sexual and it's loaded with scenes in which Monica draws in her victims. Even though she tries hard only to feed off of souls that are already hell bound... she still hates it. There were times when I was very frustrated with all of these so called men who say they love her... and Monica was very naïve in putting her faith into some of them. But, I love stories that center around complicated and conflicted characters. Monica is just that... and, I enjoyed the evolution of her character.
For whatever reason, this series does not seem to be appealing to everyone in the paranormal realm... and, I can understand why. Being a succubus is all about portraying yourself as an object of lust so as to draw in their victims. If you are sensitive to women being presented as sexual objects... this might not be the series for you. I'm not sure how you can present the succubus in any story in which this does not happen. It's kind of what they do. I don't like this concept in a non-paranormal setting... but, you can't expect demons and succubi to be on their best behavior. They work for hell and preying on human weakness is how they get the job done.
Anyway, I love this series... sorry to see it end. Really hoping we see some spin off books... I need more of Damien and would kind of like to see Julian's story continue and Lucien. :) But, all things must come to an end I suppose...

Soul Surrender, Katana Collins
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
I hadn't read the first book, loved the second and was eager to get started on this one. Once again poor Monica is spearheading danger, and the adventure runs through accompanied by lots of erotic, sensual, sexy scenes. There are some great characters, and with the flashbacks to history ( that still get me a bit disorientated at times) I'm learning that each of them seems to have a hidden side, and that they are not just the person they present to the world but have deep inner feelings and motives. Monica, she's that same lovely demon :) she still tries to be good, to do her job and survive but within the moral restraints she set herself centuries ago. I just love her, she's making the best of the cr appy life she's been dumped with, working, getting along with friends and trying – but as always – failing through no fault of her own. Now there's a price on her head and her friends are concerned about her safety but no-one seems to know what they can do except try to find who's behind it.
Drew is still missing since his trip into Hell in the last book, but she's convinced that he's not in Hell now, but out in the world somewhere. She's trying to run his coffee shop for him til he returns while still working for boss Lucien, keeping Demon boyfriend Damien happy – he's the man of many secrets but he's not the only one. Sometimes I think everyone but Monica his hiding something. Of course this book she's also got a secret – she's gained new powers and is confused, she's never heard of a succubus being able to do what she can, but before she gets a chance to discuss it with Lucien he's disappeared, while standing in for her at the time...Seems the war for her has heated up but who can she trust? Who can help and what can they do?
Well, alongside searching for Lucien, and trying to escape capture there's the same quirky, funny and at times emotional dramas being played out. We meet a couple of new people, but all the old cast are there and its like meeting old friends. I feel I know them that well. I so agreed with the point Julian made at the end! Once again its a five star read that had me glued to the tale until it ended. Definitely one to join the keepers file for re-reading. It's priced at 2.47 for 321 pages on kindle so has the length to get fully into the plot and characters, and is a great price.
Stars: five, another cracker.

I adored the first two books in this series for their powerful protagonist and lots of great sex. I have no idea what happened to this book. The sex is drenched in shame. Suddenly our heroine hates her job and her life. Our first erotic scene is rape via trickery, and the second has her pretending to be a virgin to grudgingly satisfy a child rapist. By the time we get to consensual sex, her boyfriend thinks he knows what's good for her and she isn't allowed to participate. That scenario would be sexy placed among other healthy encounters, but this book lacks those.

I suspect the overall mood had to be tweaked to accommodate the resolution of the mystery that ran through all three books. The scenes purely about that plot were compelling and inventive and I appreciate that it needed a "happy" ending, but it came at the cost of characters who suddenly changed personalities and a loss of the fun the previous books allowed. The heroine's choice between her miserable lovers at the end of the story made me cringe.

I actually feel guilty leaving a review as harsh as this but the change in tone from the previous books left me disappointed and uncomfortable. I'll continue to recommend the first two as fun and empowering erotic fiction.

Monica, a human turned angel turned demon succubus who has to have sex in order to live. What a history she has. Now she is wanted dead! Unbeknownst to her is who would want her dead and why. Her gang of misfits are there to help her survive her own misguided steps in saving herself.

This book is so hard to explain. Monica must have sex to live. The only drawback is that every time she does it takes a little bit of the other persons life in return. So Monica only has sex with people who do not deserve to live anyway. She has a boyfriend but the man she really loves is currently in Hell.

At first I was not so sure about this book. It was just to boggled down with characters and I kept getting them confused. As I continue to read they all started to make sense and so did all of their own specific talents and places in the book.

The book was overall well written and the plot was basic once you catch on. The characters were all written well and the author did a good job. There is room for a second addition but am not sure I would read it.

Third book in the soul stripper series. I love this series. Monica is a great mc. Like the in sequel - the third book starts where the sequel ends.

Monica is still being hunted by who knows who. Her friends (both heaven and hell's side) is trying to protect her. Lucien gets kidnapped and its up to Monica to find him. She will go to Hell and back trying to find him. Drew is back and "badder" than ever. Will this give Monica and Drew a chance? What about Monica and Damien relationship? (I really like him)

Of course, their is the sex scenes in here (and yes they are quite steamy... ;) )but the story and characters are what make this a great book. LOVED it!!!

The story wrapped up nicely - you got to see who has been after Monica and why. Monica decides on one of her guys. It seems to be the end....so sad to see it end.

Soul Surrender has a great flawed heroine with some wonderful quirky side characters. Monica has conflicted feelings and desires that have a huge impact seen so clearly in this novel. Be aware that there is of plenty of danger and steamy happenings in her demon life as she tries to survive and learn who is trustworthy.

However, not having read the first two in the series, there were definite gaps missing in my full understanding of this tale. I now have many unanswered questions that I hope going back and reading the first 2 books will satisfy. With that in mind, I can recommend knowing it would be best to read this series in order to completely enjoy the total story. Because I didn’t see that anywhere in the book description, (sometimes authors do tell you this) the rating is really a 3.5 instead of a 4.

This is a book I can say I'm not normally drawn to .... But I was drawn to it on netgalley and as I started reading the book I couldn't put it down it just keep drawing me in .... With Monica being a succubus she needs the sex to stay alive but with her she will only be with someone that is bad or that she can't take life from so the one person she is in love with Drew she thinks she can never be with him . When he disappears she keeps his business going and so many other things start happening there's a bounty on Monica's head and she has to figure out who is after her and who is really there to help her . There is a lot going on in this book but it's well worth reading

What an awesome story. I loved it from start to finish. I love the way it takes the characters from the the beginning of the series and continues to weave them throughout the story. I also like that once again in this story more back story of Monica and Lucien are brought in. I also have to admit that I love a happy ending. Won't spoil it by telling who it is but was glad to see Monica happy. The good news is that there are lots of other places the stories can go. Would love to see some of the others get their story. What a great series.

overall, I really enjoyed this series. the end was not completely unexpected, as by the time we're on the downhill run to the end, it's pretty well established that the good guys aren't always angelic & the bad guys aren't always hellbound. but it was still a great ending, with a few surprises left, and tied up the series nicely.

a good, fun, sexy series!

Monica Lamb, Succubus extraordinary, returns in this 3rd installment by Katana Collins. Someone is still trying to kill her and now her both of her bosses - at the club and the coffee shop - have disappeared.

It was a fun installment to this apparently on-going series. Monica is still naive and her friends are still over protective. It's a quick erotic read and should appeal to fans.

Please tell me this series isn't over!

Even though Monica finally got her HEA (not going to say with who), I don't want this to be the end. I want to see what happens with the secondary characters, like Kayce and the new guy Grayson. I loved getting more of Monica's back story with Lucien. This is such a great world, I hope to see more of it!!!

Oh the emotional rollercoaster. My heart broke for Monica. Seriously. There is so much loss in her life. Finally though we learn why she is wanted. Nice twist. I think I found myself crying more than laughing in this one. Not near as much humor but it was still really good.
