REVIEW: Saving Her Vampire is the fourth book in the Embracing the Bond series which tells the story of vampire Sebastian finding his mate Marie. Bash never thought he would find his mate especially with his traumatic past but he did when he met Marie for the first time. Marie is a human that knew about the world of shifters and vampires when she worked in a night club run by shifters but didn't think she would be the mate of a vampire. The moment that both Marie and Bash find out that they are each other's mates their reactions were very amusing because neither were expecting to be mates.
The moment that Marie was kidnapped was so frustrating as she let her emotions rule instead of taking a breath and thinking everything thru before taking action. The moment that Marie and Bash say that they saved each other in the end was so wonderfully emotional to read. Their journey to healing and loving each other as the mates they were waiting their whole lives for was filled with pain and almost death. It was wonderful that Bash was finally at peace with his mate Marie. Now onto the Dragons!
Like the other books in this series, the story is really good. This book had issues like the others with the flow and the dialogue as well as punctuation and some words missing spaces between them.
And I had a bit of a problem with Marie. There are moments in the book where she acts without really thinking. I understand that they are stressful moments and that's the point, to have her act without thinking. However, when she is contacted and told that Bash has been captured, rather than trying to call him or Ryker, who would have been with Bash at the time, she just runs off, alone, to try and save Bash. She could have even waited for Bishop to get back with their food and said something to him.
Bash, on the other hand, was more fun. I could understand his reasoning for the way he was and I did not miss the parallels between him and the main conflict. Both had a very similar childhood and lifestyle. It's something that is never brought up in the book and was more just like a hint at what Bash could have become.
I am excited for the next book in series. Bishop will finally be front and center and he's paired with the person I thought he might be. And now it explains why he questions her scent toward the end. I cannot wait to see how their story unfolds. But that will be a while.
I saw a lot of hype around Bash's story. And I can now confirm said hype was all the way legitimate.
Bash is a vampire that we have seen throughout the series, more so in Ryker's story. But he does make appearances in them all. And now he's going from side piece to main piece. Seeing things through Bash's POV and understanding his character more, we start to see some of the things he's been through. He wasn't always good. He was wild and reckless. Mistakes were made. But he's since tried to be better. Having a mate, he's not interested. At least he thought he wasn't.
Marie just wants to hide away from the world. She chooses baggy clothes and has no desire to people. She enjoys her job. She's quiet but she's got more strength than she realizes.
When Bash and Marie meet, Bash wants to fight it, but he's pulled. Marie sees something in him and is determined to make him love her. We have to go through some things, but eventually we'll get there.
I love how this series is constantly moving forward and the side characters are slowly becoming main characters. I'm a sucker for a growing series. Each has their own story and their own past to deal with.
Gosh, this series gets better and better! In the other books I loved Marie and Bash and they are seriously so perfect together. I love Marie so so much, her personality is so likeable and her patience with Bash and the way she knows what she wants is so refreshing!
Bash seemed very quiet and straightforward in the other books, I always knew there would be more to him but I didn’t expect the man to have the mouth he did! I was shook.
The plot was so good and I loved the way the author tied things together the way she did, everything linked together and no stone was left unturned, this may be one of my favorite series so far. So refreshing to find a book series where it has mates and every personality is different but the couplings are perfect- so so good!
Where does the author come up with such great story lines? I've read the first 3 books and this one is the 4th and I love them all. Can't wait to find out what happens with Bishop and Penny. The time it takes to come up and research for these stories are just amazing. Bash is such a hard ass, who doesn't want a mate to mess up his perfectly lonely existence. Until, he gets a sniff of Marie, and he still tries to deny it. The universe knows what he needs and she fills in all the blanks. Love the story, the sexy time is about a 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️. Going to hate when I'm finish with this series but will enjoy it while it lasts.
Such a quick and fun read. I really like the characters throughout these books. This relationship was nice because she was ready to jump all in right away almost. So it was a change. I want to note, the smex scenes are well written and enjoyable throughout all the books but these books are not really dark for the most part. The things that could be dark are over with before you know it. I rate most of these at a 5 as a 5 book for me means it was enjoyable.
OMG I been looking forward for Bash and Marie but together they are perfect. Bash has have a very hard long life and was not sure if you wanted to mate. But when Marie came crashing into his life and bright light and love to it. I looking forward to reading her next book in the series.
I have loved this series!! Having both points of view makes the story so much more entertaining!! Also, love to see all the other characters from the series! I really enjoyed all the humorous and sexy parts. It was great to see Sebastion be able to get in touch with his emotions, Marie is just what that vampire needed. I can't wait for the next book!!
I enjoyed Marie & Sebastian book, I am not into the Daddy role play so that was kinda of turn off to me. But maybe someone else’s cup of tea. I just felt like it came out of left field. Kinda randomly added.
But definitely love how open Marie was to Bash. Considering how closed off he was to everyone. He thought he was too tainted to have a mate. In the end they got there happily ever after.
Fmc is a bada××. The fact that the friends from the other books are intertwined is amazing. The story is great and well balanced. I love how protective he is of her and she is of him. Marie finally gets her chance.
This was my first book by the author and I LOVED IT! I literally finished it in one sitting! It was funny, spicy and sad at times! Overall TD Edwards has a new fan in me! I know how to read this entire series! Read it! You won’t be disappointed!
The first 2 books were hard to read because of ALLLL the errors in them. I enjoyed the plots so I continued reading and I am happy that I did. These books continue to get better. I am going to mourn when I finish.
Every book is amazing, and the book boyfriends are insanely hot 🔥 🥵!!! Bash is super sexy and this book has pretty much zero resistance between the two mates. Very "the universe chose us, go with what it set up" vibes.
I can't wait for the next book!!! Ahhh dragon BROTHERS?!?! It's going to be awesome 🫠🤗😈❤️
Yepp love this one too Bash is a vampire and Marie is human. I love how interconnected these books are and being able to watch everyone grow! Bash has a hard time with his past and shoved it down as much as possible. Thinking he isn’t worthy of his mate. Marie has learned to hide herself away. There relationship is amazing ! Loved this book !
