This can be read as a standalone but is better if books are read in order to get an understanding of other characters. This is book 4 of 7 of Untamed Hell fire’s MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes this book is recommended for readers aged 18+, this novel may contain triggers.
4 star heroine stuck with 1 star STD walking hero and one of the worst best friends ever. Fecking Sophie aka It's all about me. She was terrible, when she wasn't giving the heroine (Sophie is the heroine in Ink) a guilt trip she was ignoring her or shrieking about something. Honestly, with the death rate in MC's I would gladly offer her up to the gods so the Ink could get someone better. The other women in the club are hardly better and are forgiven waaayyyy too easily.
I mentioned in the review of Dagger how much I believed the hero loved his heroine. Here, not so much. Because of some BS brother crap, the H and the club believe the woman who works a 70 hour week is a cheating patch chaser, and the "besotted" H has sex with a skanky crazy woman practically, no, actually in front of the h, then tries to tell her she owes it because he's been hopelessly devoted to her all these years with his male parts in another woman. THIS is hopelessly devoted... ONJ was so cute.
Anyhoo, triggers for some nasty sexual abuse and death of a minor character.
DNF Gunner and Leah Well I made it to 50% of this clusterfck of a book. The writing is all over the place . The author is basically incompetent yeah that one too autofill— the writer is basically incoherent. Somewhere in there was a decent potential for an angsty read. Theres so much about Sophie the h’s friend on page who the heck cares?? Meanwhile the h was treated horribly for 5 years by the H and the club and there is absolutely no page time for that. Excuse me but I don’t care about Sophie breaking up with Ink or her Mom dying or that Sophie is jumping off a bridge or that Sophies boyfriends mother tries to stab her or that Sophie doesn’t speak to the h for 4 months because of a dumb reason… yeah that’s right it’s all about Sophie. Meanwhile a perfectly good character Leah the h gets lost in the clusterfck that surrounds Sophie.
So.. in as few words as the author gives the h here goes… 21yo virgin and law school attendee Leah interviews for a job at a biker bar. The boss Gunner and she have instant sparks. She gets the job. She leaves and is raped with a razor blade by a prospect for the MCC. 5 years later the prospect lied and said they dated and she cheated. Therefore even though she is free and he loves her Gunner can never be with her because she supposedly cheated on Razor the guy who raped her with a razor. Gunner says Leah is now his best friend. There is no on page time to Support this figment.
Gunner says Leah is my best friend but I can never have her because she dated then cheated on Razor my brother who she was in a 3 week Relationship with 5 years ago( never happened) Gunner has meaningless sex two times a day with his fck buddy in front of Leah-copy and paste that 500 times and you have the first 50 percent of the book.
The rest of the book is about Sophie… the h comforting Sophie and all of the aforementioned Sophie shenanigans.. as a cliff note we’re told Leah who Had a 1percent chance of getting pregnant due to Razors razor blade is pregnant but most likely the baby will die or she will die or both…. But who cares??? Because Sophie is going to Kill herself by jumping off a bridge… yeah do yourself a favor and don’t even pick this one up.

The author really needs an editor or some beta readers. There are too many mistakes that you can’t overlook. Even though this is supposed to take place in USA, there are too much British lingo being used (ex: flat vs apartment). Another one is when they talk about money she uses £ instead of $.
Then there are errors in the storyline where so many things such as explanations are repeated to the point where it’s a copy/paste.
The author has so much potential, but still needs some help.

Read it a second time and ignoring the horrible grammatical errors. All I have to say is WOW. Idk how a person could easily forget those five years and forgive them. I don’t think they even said the words “I’m sorry”. I wish I could have seen them crawl on their knees more instead of forcing themselves in her lives. They violated her privacy so many times under the disguise of “groveling”. I wish she called them out on their BS and demand they change their “laws”.
This is a grovel recommendation that was an epic fail. I skim/jumped to 53% and I'm done, I just can't any more.
I had so many issues with this one -
The execution is poor, the grammar is appalling, the writing jumps all over the place which makes it chaotic and confusing and half the time I didn't even know whose POV I was reading.
The characters are all still in junior school - these are NOT adults.
There was just way too much thrown at this book, it went from overkill to cray-cray ridiculous. We're talking repulsive man-skanks, pathetic doormat h, evil OW, badly done by foster child, kids playing at being badass MC brothers, a side character that unalived herself, violent SA against the h, bullying by virtually the entire club, and it goes on and on. It's absurd and was just thrown in and not fleshed out.
I'm sure the author poured her heart and soul into this book but given it's not her first rodeo, I expected at the very least there'd be basic editing because there is NO excuse to release something as below standard as this book is. It's insulting to the reader to have to navigate an unedited mess.
Besides the normal errors I have become to expect, I just don't think he was forgivable. Gunner put Leah through so much and then what happens to her... I just wouldn't be able to. I mean come on even almost everyone in the club treated her awful.
And then she gets pregnant again? Even though she could lose the baby or herself since the circumstances haven't changed.
3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK or decent reads. ==========================
This hero took being an asshole to another level. His behavior and members of the club as a whole are horrible. Our heroine has martyr syndrome and if it were me, I would have kicked the bucket and set the circus on fire. I feel a difficulty with many authors who don't know how to use theirs, yours, yours and they are, instead they use you are and so on. It really is very strange for those who have English as a second language.
This story had alot of serious topics which weren't really dealt with properly for me.
There's on page SA of the FMC, bullying, $u!cide of a side character etc. And the effects of all of these things on the FMC were skimmed over. It felt shallow. Add in the body betrayal syndrome and the grovel was completely unsatisfactory.
When Leah interviewed with Gunner for the position of bartender at Untamed Hell's bar, she feels it instantly the connection. From the way Gunner looks at her, he feels the same. It's not even five minutes later when Leah's world falls apart she stays strong though and the look Gunner gave her crumbles when she sees him have sex with anything that walks. Five years later she has had enough, she walks away from the MC and their Ol' Ladies who never accepted her, they judged her based on lies. She is pregnant now though after one night with Gunner and it is time to say goodbye.
Gunner learns some hard truths as Leah walks away. Everything he thought he knew was based on lies and he wants Leah. He knew she was his one, but there were rules in the MC and going for Leah was against them. He knows he hurt Leah, he knows he broke her trust time and time again and now that he knows they were both part of a deceptive act he vows to gain her trust. Can Leah give him a second chance or will he blow it like he has in the past.
Best so far in the series. Leah's story is heartbreaking I thought she was a very strong character who pushes forward even when she is kicked time and time again. Gunner was a fool, it takes awhile but he redeems himself. What is unexpected is the dynamic with some of the characters in the MC. A few who you like in the beginning really are quite awful. Series keeps getting better.
This may have been the worst book I've ever read. The grammar was terrible and the writing was so awkward I kept having to go back and reread some sentences to try to understand what the author was trying to say. I couldn't get past 5%.
I'm not sure why I read this book. I didn't like the last one. The H's are horrible, and the "Alpha male" bs of forcing the h to go where they want is tiresome and honestly, lazy writing. I did not believe Leah's character would just forgive and forget, which it seems to be what happens here, esp after 5 years and after her entire medical history is shared with everyone without her permission. Then we have the insane amount of typos, grammatical errors, and just wrong words, which seems to be on every single page. Next we have such firm statistics of the conceiving and delivering and mortality rates, which were thrown out every 5 seconds, but obviously played no actual part in the story, as everything was fine, a woman on redress was running around and having fun times repeatedly, and has no issues conceiving. Suspension of disbelief only goes so far. And the obgyn obsessing over the baby daddy and sulking when he doesn't make a move on her is just really weird and makes absolutely zero sense to include.
I couldn't put this down. Boy was I getting mad at this MC for Leah these men are totally clueless and the women don't get me started on them but this was so good and it brought things to light in there club that need fixing I hope in the next books in the series get to fix some of the problems redeeme themselves to there respective women
Oh my goodness. Is this Leah’s book or Sophie’s? She’s here again being selfish and self centered. And everyone is pandering to her. Go away Sophie.
Firstly, why are ALL these books so far about cheating and the women forgiving them? Why on earth a women with self respect would go back to a guy who (a) forgot he slept with er and (b) has been flaunting his sexcapades with another women in her face for FIVE years???
And the plot holes thicken. So Razor who was not even a bother at the time pays 10k to take her virginity but doesn’t actually have sex with her but instead uses a razor to take it?? Like WTF fucked up shit storyline is this?? And while NOT a brother they automatically believe him because he’s “one of them” yet Dagger who is the freaking VP is not believed once about what he was put through as a child and when he does come clean, they still don’t believe him but only do so when they see video footage. Like how inconsistent can this story be.
And the women are all psychos and catty. These blokes need to grow a set and kick these biatches out. It’s so inconsistent with all other MC series I’ve read where this shit wouldn’t be tolerated.
Also, none of these stories have anything about MC. Just about the relationships and the teenager-like dialogue between catty women.
Then, like the other books beforehand, the heroine goes through the most OTT things. Like every heroine has to be shot, at risk, die on the table, stalked, assaulted, threatened, stabbed, and also be a bitch to each other.
Why am I continuing??

I have tried a couple of books by this author they are clearly not for me. The way women are treated in these books is horrible. Forgivness I would never speak to Gunner and well half of the rest of them ever again.
OTT, i hated every MC from the previous books🤣 it seems the author forgot that her MCa are good people.🤣 anyway, exaggerated plot, exaggerated drama, but right now, it was just perfect for me 😜
This one was very difficult at times. Gunner and the whole club betray Leah so badly, so many times I wasn’t sure she should forgive them. Plenty of trauma and action.
Maybe I should rate lower, but I'll be generous. Actually, if there's a How to Run an MC for Dummies this club needs it. Also, the writing was a bit disjointed with different times not matching up which I overlooked, but kinda annoyed me. It was very unrealistic with what happened to Leah after her assault. Authorities would have been called. She wouldn't have healed as fast as she had. Plus her and Doc letting the club treat her as bad as they did for 5 yrs just didn't make sense. I'm sorry to say the H Gunner is a real loser. The worst out of the bunch so far. He was pathetic with a capital P. I liked Leah, but she was dumb for keeping the hate train against her going. I thought I didn't have any cemented feelings for the h Dophie, I mean Sophie from the previous book, but she sucks. Another word doesn't come to mind. This club runs themselves like a bunch of morons that the first generation MC's had to say something because they're basically idiots. Club whores are still running things. And look out! Clitter's not nice anymore. Girls probably going to cause massive drama in the next book which is Slicer. The biggest man whore of them all. Even his own judge him 🙃. As far as the story went it was entertaining, but everything could have been dealt with if Leah actually said something. Especially Doc backing her up, so the plot was a bit unbelievable. Also, her pregnancy, birth, and recovery time. I'm sorry, but with her condition she shouldn't be having any more children 🤷. But hey fiction.
Safety: they're not together, but he wants her. He won't go there because of lies being spread by his ow and another club member. He parades ow in front of her for 5 years. H and h sleep together when they're drunk, but he doesn't remember and continues sleeping with ow at work in front of h the very next day. These guys have incredible stamina 😬. Like I said he's a real winner.

So, here is the thing. Gunner was a jerk. On every level. The way he treated Leah was unforgivable, period! I know this is a romance with an HEA, but this is one where I feel Leah gave in too quickly. I would have made him pay. Yes, he was unaware of what happened, but that is no excuse for what he did. If Leah was his best friend, as he stated, then there is definitely no excuse for how he treated her. This is the first book where I didn't want an HEA. I would have preferred that he live in his guilt for the same amount of years he made Leah suffer. The things he made Leah tolerate and watch every day for years was despicable. He didn't suffer enough in my book. He stated she was his best friend yet didn't believe anything she said. He didn't deserve Leah and he should have been made to suffer for the same amount of time and he should have had to sit back and watch another man sleep with Leah like he did to her for years to her. I am a little fed up that these men make huge mistakes and the women are supposed to just accept it, but I know if one of the women did something while they're "on a break" they would be called every name in the book. It's all very one-sided, but this one really was just too much to deal with. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it developed some of the side stories.
70ish% in: Is the goal in this book to make us hate everyone but Leah and Star? Because I truly hate the whole MC right now. Even with them sucking up to Leah now, I'm not forgiving them. I also couldn't understand why people hated Sophie in the Ink reviews - but I get it now. Seeing her story, you feel bad for her. Seeing how absolutely selfish she is here, I can assume that people read this book before hers. If I did, I'd hate her too. Also, Cammy is still the absolute worst and I don't get why people still come to her for comfort. She's a two faced biatch.
The only reason I'm sticking to this book is because I can't leave my girl Leah. Basically everyone else but Doc (and he's on my shit list right now), Slicer (because he hasn't been there), and Star are absolutely horrible.
Final thoughts: Still hate everyone except for a select few. I'm glad Leah finally put Sophie in her place, but hate that she forgave her so quickly. ESPECIALLY when Sophie made everything to do with the baby/accident about her. It's going to be an uphill climb for me to like most of the characters again (if the next book wasn't Slicer's, I'd be gone), but I'll never like Sophie again and I don't like Gunner either. Leah is hands down the best character in this series. Also, men destroying rooms and crazy women trying to kill the FMC is getting overdone. Change it up, because this is ridiculous.
How disappointing. Given their connection has been hinted at in the other books, I was expecting to see some serious chemistry between these two but honestly? He just seems like an abusive controlling prick.
He decides she's his but then doesn't pursue because of a lie... They're best friends apparently but like, where is that? In what world is that shown because there's no banter between them, he has to treat her like shit at work because she can't have special treatment and the club hates her so when did they become friends? It just doesn't make sense...
Then all the truth comes out and his controlling attitude really comes out but again... What grovel do we really see? He says sorry a bunch of times but basically just forces her into situations. The whole sex thing between them when she's a trauma victim down there doesn't make sense.
Then this shit with her sister and the women. I don't understand why this author turns every FMC into a bitch in the next books. It's wild to me.
But basically everyone sucks and this poor woman needs a fresh start away from them. Nothing is done to earn forgiveness - they all suck. This book was all over the place but Gunner out of all of them men so far, seriously didn't deserve his happy ending.

Disclaimer: This is book four in the Untamed Hell Fire’s MC Series. Last year I read Hawk, which is book seven in this series. At that time I rated Hawk as two stars. Having joined a few mc lovers Facebook groups I found that this author is a favorite. I decided to reread Hawk but to read it in the order of the series. Having done that I changed my rating to three stars. Although the books state they can be read as standalones I find that reading them in order helps for a better experience as the book characters cross over in each book. If you are a fan of mc books and are looking for a quick read in which you know that they are going to have an HEA this is the series for you.
Review: This is the second book of this series that deals with sexual abuse. I give the writer kudos for the way she is handling the subject matter. You feel the empathy for the victim but also are compelled to continue reading to see justice. Having said that I still wanted to clobber the MMC most of this book. I keep asking myself "how is this a successful mc because these dudes are idiots?"🤦♀️ I guess that just goes to the ability of the author to draw me in.

If I’m being honest here I loved Leah, probably my favourite FMC of this current series, but this book made me hate all the previous characters and the MC and I 100% think based on the years of torment and such and everything that happened and happens she was better off being away from everyone. In the previous books sure some aspects I didn’t like (such as cheating and the women taking them back just because “they are their soul mate”) but it went with the story and I could see what the author was doing and everything. But this one. Ohhhh man I was steaming! I think the author did such a good job at having us feel for Leah that it honestly made me want better for her; and the MC and everyone failed her and honestly ruined her and didn’t deserve her or her forgiveness and in previous books they brushed past some stuff obviously but Gunner doesn’t deserve her he did barely and groveling for 5 years of bull and though I have to admit that I did enjoy this story and this cannot rate it lower than a 3, I am only rating it as a 3 because she should’ve left and actually healed herself. I think everyone in the book besides the FMC was selfish and cruel and never once (even at the end) saw or took the FMC seriously or let her heal. They all took control and not in the fun and loving way, in a “if she leaves I’ll never see her again” way while still taking her for granted.
I apparently am really upset by this and could probably rant more but I’ll leave it at this. I did enjoy the book but the FMC deserves better and no one truly apologized to her at all, for both their actions and for how they treated her.

I’m honestly not sure what I’ll do with myself once I finish this series because I am UTTERLY obsessed with the girl world.
I normally hate cheating in books, but these books make it WORK. The angst intensifies but it doesn’t impact me that much because there’s no emotion behind the cheating and it’s rather…meaningless?
Anyway, I’ve noticed a few patterns with this author that make me roll my eyes because it’s in every book…
- all the FMC flatline at some point - not sure if the author realises how serious this is but she throws it in with almost all the female leads lol - hook, line and sinker - pregnant bellies getting kicked (seriously?) - all the FMC have really old, beat up cars lol
I’m not complaining though; these are all 5 star reads for me.
Something I really love about this author and her characters is the fact that not everyone is nice all the time and we see this as the series progresses. For example as sweet as lol the other old ladies are, they treated Leah like absolute crap 😢. You wouldn’t think this when reading say, Annalise’s story, but she had it in her - and I think that shows how real the characters are because let’s face it, not everyone is nice all the time.
This is one epic romantic story. Things for this couple start off so wrong and our fill with lots of manipulation and misunderstanding. It takes Gunner and Leah five years for them to realize that things are quite not like they thought. Leah has to deal with the bad looks, and judging of not only the club, but also the old ladies and that leads to so much complication that result in tragedy that she may or may not be able to come back from . gunner has had a great friendship with Leah from the first time that they met, but has had a crush And been in love with her, but has wanted so much more for her however because of one misunderstanding, he lets five years of tormenting and backlash be put on his relationship with Leah. So when she finally decides that enough is enough and walks out, not only on her job with the club but Her friendship with him little does he know that things are going to drastically change and truths will be revealed. Absolutely love the storyline had so much tragedy, could not put the book down and could not wait for the next book in this series because this author really knows how to show emotion That are so intense and so heartbreaking. Highly recommended to anybody that loves romance.
Oh my goodness, poor Leah! The trauma & crap she had to put up with for 5 years made me hurt for her. Pissed at the club, pissed at Gunner & seriously pissed at Sophie! This book shows how adults are really just kids who grew taller, no one taking the time out to actually ask Leah anything but sticking her in a box, labelling her a patch chaser. I feel like the others have come between Sophie & Leah, whereas if they actually let them grieve together then they would have still had the same relationship & they both should have pushed for it coz I wouldn’t let some ass faces come between me & my sister no matter what has happened! Throughout the series I was seriously mad at Gunner for always turning to Cara & the way he treated his so called “best friend”, like always they learn the lesson the hard way but I guess that’s how we find our biggest strengths, in the tough times. Glad it worked out beautifully but seriously, these men & their sweet butts are triggering lol I am impatiently waiting for Flame & Star’s story lol but also happily enjoying everyones stories. Love that everyone has their own unique story lines.
This book is more about other characters and Sophie the heroine of the previous book in the series than the heroine Leah and the Zero Gunner. Leah the poor heroine gets raped by one of the brothers of this gang and still gets blamed for being a liar and cheat and everyone treats her very badly including her "best friends" most of the time. The Zero gunner is in love with Leah and she is his "best friend " but doesn't trust her, thinks she cheated on the brother because that asshole called razor lied that she was his gf and cheated on him... infact he rapes her and tears her insides with a razor all because the bitch the Zero fucks saw Gunner and her getting attracted to each other. Everyone keeps being nasty and cruel to HER because of this. And the Zero loves her but keeps fucking the nasty bitch all.the time in front of her. I don't even want to go on about other sins of the asshole Zero. How can this be called a romance is beyond my understanding! And the furrowing of the brows , growls and rasps continue in this book too like the bound mafia series. This author seriously needs grammar lessons or someone else knowledgeable to do the job for her!

My experience with this author runs hot and cold. I enjoyed this book although there were a few pieces that were a stretch for me. The pace worked with no lagging lulls in the story. The h interviewed by the H for a bar job in the MC clubhouse. There was a spark. A jealous woman sets the h up to be violated by a member. The H views part of the attack and concludes that the h is taken by the member. Instead she has been traumatized and mutilated. Perhaps because she is in law school she takes the job knowing she will see her attacker every day. She also sees the H with the OW everyday. Listening to lies and not asking for her side of the story, the club torments the h on a daily basis. The H loves the h but believes he cannot act in his feelings because the h rejected a fellow member. After 5 years of this, the h's father figure shares the truth. The H is distraught but others in the club are still uncertain. It doesn't feel like the H had to work very hard to make up to the h for the five years of abuse she suffered.
