I find it tough to read these old books but this one was full of interesting information. I had fun trying to follow along with google maps and learn about exploration of Appalachia.

Tale of the first time anyone explored the Blackwater Falls area of WV IN 1853. A fabulous account with wonderful illustrations.

I thought this book was wonderful. While the book did start off rather slow and it is not an actual expedition novel in the traditional sense, it was still very readable and wholly humorous!
