We had an instant connection the first time our eyes met from across the dance floor. The connection grew later that night in my hotel room when we couldn’t keep our hands off each other, or so I thought before waking up to an empty bed.
When she showed up four months later, pregnant with my baby, I still had no idea she was my teammate's little sister until his fist connected with my jaw.
We can't deny our mutual attraction, but how do we turn lust and one incredible night together into love?
Samantha Lind is a USA TODAY Bestselling contemporary romance author. Having spent the first 27 years of her life in Alaska, she now calls the mid-West home, where she lives with her husband and two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, watching hockey (Go Knights Go!), and listening to country music. You can connect with Samantha on her website, www.samanthalind.com.
Since the previous book I was enchanted by Samantha's way of writing, completely free of drama and with a romance so sweet that it only gives you butterflies in your stomach.
The story of Blake and Raven began thanks to one night, they did not exchange more than their names and that would take its toll later since that night Raven became pregnant, to the surprise of both of them, Blake is his brother's teammate and they can talk about the steps to follow. Now here I liked it, I liked how the author gave us both of their reactions and how in an adult way they reached a solution, I liked that not everything was quick but that Blake did not lose the feeling that Raven was the love of his life. It touches on a subject I am familiar with due to family issues and it is so well written (although every diagnosis is different) that I thought the way this couple dealt with it was wonderful.
A story that reads itself because it is so good and captivating, now I need a book about Raven's brother because he is a total sweetheart!
Thanks to the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review!!

I loved everything about Blake and Raven’s story. I was pulled in from the night at the club to the spicy one night in hotel room. What are the odds you move to same city and your brother is on your one night stands team! Raven finds her self knocked up with Blake’s baby. Blake is crazy about her and had me swooning over how romantic he was wanting to be with her and take care of her. It was such a sweet romance story that focused a lot on her pregnancy and him caring for her.

5 Star Review Blake (San Francisco Shockwaves # 5) by Samantha Lind
It was good to be back in the San Francisco Shockwaves universe for Blake and Raven’s story. Although book 5, you can certainly read as a standalone and was a good addition to the latest series from Samantha Lind.
From the moment they met, the sparks flew and the connection only intensified. After a passionate night they part ways with no intention of seeing one another again.
Fate often works in mysterious ways and it takes only one night to change a person’s life; it seems that fate has stepped in again.
Unbeknownst to Blake, Raven is his teammates younger sister which complicates matters when he learns she is pregnant with his child.
I have a new book boyfriend, I absolutely adore Blake, he is everything I look for in a book boyfriend.
The attraction still sizzles between them and I loved the development of their relationship. Their journey had its challenges but it was heartwarming to watch it develop. The question is can a one night stand turn into a lasting love?
Massive thanks to Wildfire Marketing for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.
Blake by Samantha Lind is delightfully sweet & spicy hockey romance that happens when one night in Vegas lands two strangers on a life-changing journey.
This is book #5 in the Seattle Shockwaves but it can easily be read as a standalone. I’ve only read two in this series & I am enjoying it greatly.
Blake is great for fans of… 🏒 Hockey Romance 🏒 Dual POV 🏒 Teammate’s Little Sister 🏒 Surprise Pregnancy
I adored Raven’s connection with her brother, Camden & how he was there for her. Blake, the hero, was the epitome of a stand up guy & he was swoon worthy. I loved how he showed up. Their relationship was an adventure & it was beautiful to watch.
The chemistry between the pair was immediately evident & felt effortlessly easy. They had that intangible spark that you can’t put into words. I loved watching their lives mix together. I appreciated that this was a story without too much drama. It was just a lovely romance to get lost into.
This was so good and a perfect way to end a series. Blake and Raven meet in Vegas and end up with a happily ever after story. The chemistry was great and it was well written
This was a cute, no angst story. It was a little cheesy at times but would be a good palette cleanser type of read. I did like the amount of hockey that was on page and the relationship between the players, especially Blake and Camden, Raven’s brother.
There was very little conflict in this book. Raven and Blake met in Vegas and had a one-night stand, not knowing Raven’s brother had just been traded to Blake’s NHL hockey team. She finds out she’s pregnant weeks before moving to San Francisco, where her brother and Blake play hockey, and she runs into Blake four months after they met in Vegas. This is where I thought the big conflict would be. But aside from the sucker punch Camden threw, Blake and Raven worked out their shock together and with zero conflict.
I liked the way Blake and Raven navigated their relationship. After the first few nights of lust driven sex, they took a step back and built their friendship. They committed to each other and their baby. They experienced everything first time parents experience during pregnancy together. Overall, they were a very happy couple with a great support system and good communication skills.
This was a good book but I found myself getting bored at times. It seemed like the focus was on menial details instead of the broader plot and the story lagged in those areas. It was a good book and well written, it just didn’t grab my attention.
Blake is book five in the San Francisco Shockwaves Series and is about Blake Watson and Raven Rowe. Blake and Raven meet at a club where they are each attending a bachelor/ bachelorette party in Vegas. They have a one-night stand, but Raven snuck out before they could even exchange last names. Weeks later, she finds herself holding a positive pregnancy test and no way to track him down. Fate brings them back together when she receives the promotion which requires her to relocate to San Francisco, where her brother plays professional hockey but imagine her surprise when she finally finds him, only to learn that he is one of her brother’s teammates on his NHL team! A cute, no angst story and I cannot wait for more from this author.
I saw this book on book talk and I added it to my list of books that I wanted to read. This book did not disappoint from the start of this book I was hooked. It was incredible. I love Blake so much. I loved Raven and Blake’s relationship. I love how Blake would do anything for Raven and making sure she was comfortable through the whole pregnancy and just throughout the whole relationship. I absolutely love seeing Blake as a dad. I did not read The previous books in this series, but I will definitely be going back and reading them. I’ll be adding them to my book journal because I NEED more.
This is a fun, entertaining reads. Blake and Raven are interesting, complex, relatable, intriguing, strong, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance and the path it took to get to their HEA. These two are fun to spend time with. I love that we got to see so much of the characters from the other books in the series. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. The story is easy to read and get into.
I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators.
This was probably the least offensive surprise baby hockey romance I've ever read. The writing is pretty good. The characters are well written. There is no strife. This is the coziest relationship I've read so far. I really don't have much to say about it because there was really nothing to it. Blake was all in from the start and Raven only really wants to slow the relationship down for the sake of . . . whatever reason. There's no questioning paternity. There's no "let's just coparent." It just is.
I liked it. I just prefer a lot more toxicity in my romances. Judge me if you will.
Two people who meet in Las Vegas end of conceiving a baby. This book takes you through how they reconnect and the relationship they develop. I was in the mood for a low angst book and this is certainly that. If you read it, be prepared that it goes into excruciating detail on daily life…making a grocery list, unpacking a suitcase, putting clothes on after a shower, etc. I’m not kidding. A LOT of details.
Blake Watson is the epitome of tall dark and handsome! He’s a star goalie in a NHL team and a beast on the ice, but a total cinnamon roll in his personal life! Beautifully written story, believable characters, lots of hockey and some serious romance! What’s not to love? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For Samantha Lind and Blake and Raven!
Fun fun fun! I loved this installment of our Shockwaves! It has all the feels, banter, & swoony goodness as these two navigate through their unexpected relationship.
I enjoyed getting to know these two, seeing our guys & gals from previous books, and seeing Raven's relationship with her brother.
Phew! Thought I was stuck in a right ol' rut with reading! I really really enjoyed the sweet but spicy romance between raven and Blake, the twists and turns of it being Blake's teammates sister genuinely did make me gasp. From the second Blake and raven meet you can tell he's completely truly infatuated with her and it shows all the way through
Blake is a sweet one night stand, surprise pregnancy romance. Blake and Raven have an insta connection and are very hot in the bedroom. I love how things transpired between the two and the little family they created!
An edge of your seat emotionally thrilling journey from beginning to end and so hard to put down. Highly entertaining, heart racing, sweetly sexy and action-packed romantic adventure filled with desire, the struggle for true love and passion.
i was 😴🥱 i remember thinking when will this book end because the plot happened so fast but without a catch you know i think the climax was her giving birth….the relationship development between mcs happened so fast without angst - nhl x lawyer (they didnt talk about her job very much) - accidental pregnancy - teammate’s sister - no third breakup
It was a great book, & I love Raven & Blake, but I feel that their relationship was rushed as the book went on with all the time jumps and quick decisions. It was a cute story that I would read again but I wish there was a little more plot and that it wasn’t centered around the pregnancy.

If you're looking for a quick soft yet spicy romance this is the book for you! Straight to the point and romance right from the start. Pregnancy trope is involved if you're looking for that as well.
This was a good book from the beginning to end. One night stand that produced a baby and the start of a wonderful relationship. I liked the story and the characters.
