I wanted to share a little update with you all about my writing journey. As some of you might know, I've been dabbling in storytelling for a while now, mainly through self-publishing on Amazon. However, I've recently made the decision to step back from that platform and focus my creative energy on Inkitt & Wattpad.
For me, reading & writing has always been a coping mechanism, a way to navigate through life's twists and turns while struggling with my mental health.
And lately, I've found solace and community on Wattpad. It's become my sanctuary, a place where I can pour my heart out and connect with readers in a whole new way.
I'm not sure how to detach my author profile from my Goodreads account. While I still love writing, I enjoy reading and reviewing books more. So, please don't think I am just reading, and reviewing your book for popularity because that isn't the case at all.

Mikey B is a new author for me and Demon was a novel that simply knocked me out of the ballpark.
Tony was made to suffer horrific abuse as a young teenager, his life was horrendous, many a time he felt life wasn’t worth living. When he finally escaped his horror he promised he would make his captors pay for the atrocities they made him endure....and Tony became the ruthless killer he is today, Demon.
Demon is a dark, gritty tale, it’s extremely violent, and trigger warnings should be noted. It’s a coarse, raw tale that shocked me but Demon’s story was also riveting and heartbreaking as he fought with his own personal demons.
It’s a scary journey of violence and fear, an extremely addictive read that I was compelled to devour until the end.
The writing was ok., a little more development at times would have been nice, but I liked the characters though, Demon ruled, he was an intense man with a broken past who didn’t know how to feel or care. Mallory was a feisty young woman who surprised Demon at every turn and his “brother’s” were very interesting characters in themselves, their stories are greatly anticipated.
I really loved Demon. It’s a definite must, I would highly recommend it!

Dirty_Words was one of my favourite authors on Wattpad. I’m saddened to see her leave Wattpad. I admired how Mikey B., reached out to her readers, took their advice, and worked so hard to make her readers happy. When she began writing Demons story, the first chapter drew me in. I messaged her daily asking when she’d publish another chapter. Demon’s story is touching. It was Demon’s past that made him the ruthless killer he became. I’ve had the luxury to watch Mikey B.. writing grow with each book she’s written, and will continue to follow her throughout her journey. I would definitely recommend Demon. Tony is a beast but loves so darn hard.

This is a dark romance. It has lots of triggers and disturbing scenes. If this bothers you do not get this book. The story is written well and keeps you intrigued.

I had a hard time connecting to the characters. I like to read dark, erotica and filthy men but this one was an odd mixture. Maybe not enough of any of those things. The story was a little too surface and not enough depth. Not a bad read just not what I was hoping for.

I know i'm in the minority here but i rated 3 stars not because the story is bad but that i just didn't connect with the characters or the story. But if you like dark erotica and a fast read you should give it a try.

DARK AIN'T THE WORD!
I don't usually post reviews in this style but figured since I look for these types of reviews when hunting for a new book, I would reciprocate. Sometimes, they will be the only thing that convinces me the book is worth a read.
Anywho.
This raw gritty story locked me in from the first page and kept me going with each chapter. At first I thought there was an excessive use of the word fuck... but then I thought about how it happens to be the salt & pepper of my dialect (and my favorite word) and I'm pretty damn lame in comparison to these dark characters. So they can own it.
I thought I was going to hate the Hero. I think a part of me wanted to hate him after the scene with the stripper. But after learning about his past, and reading how the characters grew as a couple, I couldn't. I understood why he carried so much hatred.
“Ouch,” I scream through the pain, the burning, the melting of my skin. “Please, Hank, stop.” I try to squirm free of his hold, but he is stronger than me. “I’ll be a good boy.” I cry. “I won’t vomit the next time.” I can’t handle the pain. It hurts.
This book is really morbid and bloody. There were some scenes hard to read but that's exactly what kept me reading well past the comfort zone I typically find myself in. I do have to say - Demon is a total badass but becomes a badass with a heart of gold for the women he loves.
Little do they know, I’m numb. I don’t feel shit — especially not fucking remorse. I’ll take a fucking life without fucking blinking, without fucking feeling. I live to breathe and breathe to kill.
Presently, I stand here with his hair gripped tightly in my hand, and watch Slasher shove the rubber dildo into Hank’s mouth, choking him, gagging him, making him struggle to get oxygen into his fucking lungs. The same fucking way he had to me.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Mikey B; he has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of his books.

I loved Demon. It's darker than I imagined it would be. Love and gritty combined in one. I loved the dark feels without the hero being aggressive or abusive toward the heroine. The story is addictive and kept me reading.

WOW WOW WOW WOW AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! A OUTSTANDING READ!!!!!!!
Demon aka Tony has had the worse start to his life. His mother (if you can call her that!!!) is more attached to the little bag of white powder than her son. She doesn't care that her pimp/old man is raping her 13 year old son. It is sickening to read her lack of love, parenting connection and morals. I got so angry to the point of shouting at this book. To say I went through every emotion whilst reading this book is a massive understatement. I dont know how to word this probably because I shouldn't say thankfully that 2 other boys went through the same treatment, there mothers addicted to drugs doing anything to get a hit but it does mean that the 3 boys have each other. And the bond between them is so strong a brotherhood that will stand the strength of time.
Now years later they are looking for these perverts to end their life's so the world is a better place and to get revenge. All three boys have problems with intimacy, Demon doesn't like anyone touching him. He usually goes to the strippers club to get woman to use and move on.
But one night he meets Mallory, She is the step sister of Jacob who stole from Demon who owns the casino. Mallory begs for Demon to give her the chance to work off the money he stole, and this start a whole new outlook
What an amazing read I was so happy reading the end of this book that I actually felt emotionally happy nearly shedding a tear. This book isn't for the light hearted its very disturbing at times and got me so angry that I wanted to hunt the evil ones down myself!!!!!!

I followed this author on Inkitt, Wattpad, and Dreame. I am now following Mikey B., on the links they shared on the fiction sites. Mikey B., writing is worth hopping from site to site. I have a feeling this is where the writer will stay. I’m disappointed but I do not blame them for leaving. Inkitt removed Demon because of the level of darkness. I had to finish reading Demon on Wattpad.
I loved not only the main characters but also the back characters. From the beginning, I was hooked.
Mallory was molested, and Tony was raped. I felt ill reading about their past, and didn’t think I would enjoy the story. However, it was too addictive to put down once I started.
If any character deserved revenge, it’d be Tony. The people Tony murdered, deserved everything he did to them. I have a humongous heart, and did not feel apologetic for enjoying the way Tony murdered his enemies.
That Mallory is a tough woman and is high in spirited for sticking by Tony after what she had gone through and had dealt with. I beloved how she loved him. That girl had a bite to her. If I was Mallory, it would scare me to badmouth Tony. But Mallory wasn’t.
Demon is a a perfect story for anybody who dares to open the Demon’s door. Kindle readers are lucky to have Mikey B., and not have to wait for chapter updates.

I waited impatiently for Demon’s chapters. I am waiting impatiently for Dirty_Words to write Slasher’s story. Demon is a standalone with a hea. The ending made me want Slasher’s story. I loved Demon and all his brothers. I wish you all the luck in the world Dirty_Words. I hope you will still post short sweet stories on Wattpad. If you don’t, I’ll follow you anywhere you chose to write. You were one of my favourite authors on Wattpad. Your male protagonist are to die for. I fancy how you write your female characters. Demon's Dark Romance

I knew when I picked this that it wouldn't be like other books I've read. This isn't your puff piece and sugar. I had to read this several times before I felt like it got this story. Its a good story Demon had to learn to move on from his past if he wanted a future.

Mikey B nailed the darkness in this book. I have followed the journey and can not wait for the other series to come.

So, yes I was warned by the author that this would be dark and full of sensitive triggers, which it definitely was.
Painfully difficult to read as it started out with pedophilia, abuse along with horrible physical and emotional abuse. Did I want retribution for the cruel sicko abusers? Yes.
But rarely have I read a dark romance that was so violently full of murderous justice devoid of humanity and displayed proudly by the Hero of the storyline.
Tony’s backstory had the reader empathizing with his life and need for justice against his abusers although his ruthlessness had no limits. Killing, torturing anyone that crossed him in his past or present were completely obliterated devoid of feeling or mercy. That was hard to read.
Mallory loved Tony beyond reason and readily accepted and justified his ruthless behavior. She was truly the woman made for him.

Mikey B is a new author to me, and I'm really happy that I actually went with my instinct to review this book.
Demon has had a horrible past and he has inner demons that he fights with. As the synopsis says he is a cold-blooded killer and he seeks revenge for the monsters who hurt him when he was younger.
I loved Mallory, she was strong and showed that even the ones who feel unlovable are loved.
There are triggers of domestic violence, sexual abuse (both adults and child), child abuse, drug abuse as its mentioned in the synopsis. But with all that said this story takes you on a dark journey through two lives and it's not fairytales and rainbows.... this is a more realistic story than most romances.
I can't wait to read more.

Demon also known as Tony was tortured and molested as a young boy but with the help of his brothers they have grown up and seek revenge on all of their enemies. So when Mallory step brother steals money from him he seeks to eliminate him. But he changes him mind once he meets Mallory and decides to keep her and make her his. She will teach him how to open his heart and let love in finally healing all his past pain. He will show his true self and she will love and accept him with all his issues.

Demon was dark and intense. Grabbed me from page one and never let me go. Many twists in the storyline to keep it interesting. Characters were well written, and the plot was VERY well detailed. Suspenseful, dangerous, awesome!!

Demon was very dark and intense read for me. The plot grabbed a me from the first line of the story and held on tight. The twist and turns of the suspenseful story keep it interesting and my blood moving.
Definitely not a book for everyone.

This was a dark, intense burn romance story perfect for a quick afternoon read.
This was a great heart pounding read. The story was very well written with great characters. The story drew me in and I had it finished in one sitting. I would highly recommend this read.
