Sienna Mercer grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was an only child, and always wanted a brother or sister – especially a twin. A twin would have been awesome! Sadly, she never got that sister so, when she was grown up, she did the next best thing - she wrote books about a girl who reminded her of herself, and gave her the most fun, fabulous twin she could think of!

Sienna began writing stories when she was a teenager, on a very wet day in Toronto when her cheerleading practice was cancelled - and she has not stopped writing since. She used to write in red leather notebooks while sat on her bed, but now does most of her writing in her attic, which is quite dark, and has some spooky cobwebs in the corners - the perfect location for thinking about vampires. She doesn't use red notebooks anymore, either, although she keeps them in a chest by her desk in the attic.

Sienna got the idea for My Sister the Vampire from a daydream she had - what if she had a super-cool twin sister... who was a vampire? She loved the characters - and their kooky friends and family - so much that she just had to keep writing about them.

When she's not daydreaming about vampires and cheerleading, Sienna enjoys travelling and exploring new cities, and keeps a detailed scrapbook of everywhere she’s visited. She lives in Toronto, kept company by Calypso and Angel – her two gorgeous cats. She is happily writing away and we wait for her upcoming books!

This is prolly one of the most stressed I've been after reading a book. Don't get me wrong this book was amazing and the storyline just kept me guessing and going but man, so many stuff happened, so many drama, dilemmas, struggles. The twins, this time, face problems within their family and significant others. Ivy with her boyfriend Brendan and Olivia with their new step mom Lillian.

Let's start with Ivy.

Seriously. It starts off really well after what happened in the previous book (Flipping Out) but then a new character is introduced in the picture, Maya. Also with Brendan being secretive lately with phone calls and avoiding Ivy.

I mean why couldn't Brendan just have told her about everything. It's not gonna damage their relationship or anything. It actually helped them and with knowing that Ivy has amazing investigator skills. Yes, it all worked out in the end, thank darkness for that. I don't know but it really freaked me out.

As for Olivia's side...

I felt like her side was more in the spotlight in this one. It had a lot more to deal with and it was more put out in the plot than Ivy's. It's not that Ivy's is less important or anything, it's just that this one meant more depth than hers. I mean you gotta give Ms. Sienna Mercer some credit for making such a series where both sides of the girls are highlighted and are imported with both of their journeys and in their journeys together. All I'm saying is that Olivia's side felt more expanded than Ivy's, they are both equally important.

In this book, I saw something that I've always seen but never really understood. I appreciate and respect Olivia's ability and confidence in being true to herself amongst a vampire family and community. She is the only human or bunny or whatever that is amongst the presence of so many vampires and she holds herself up from them. She does not feel like an outcast at all which is commendable on her part. I don't know but I feel so touched by her personality and humbleness throughout her experiences. Also with Ivy, it's like no matter what happens to the two of them and in dealing with what they do with their lives they still stay true to who they were in the first book and stay humble and grounded as sisters.

Anyway, I'm getting too attached to these characters! AHHHH! I think I'm going to go insane when this series ends... I HOPE IT DOESNT! Let me just start with Camilla! YAY! She's back! Again! Hahaha! I love her friendship with Olivia so much. It excites me how close they still are and how they interact. And it plays well with the story too . I also like how Jackson and Olivia keep in touch with each other despite their long distance relationship situation.

As always, this book ends with a good note and that good note being one of the best endings so far in My Sister The Vampire. Also the little teaser in the end... WOAH. Just woah.

I wondered where Sophia was in all of this.

Happy Reading! :)

In my opinion, this is the worst in the My Sister the Vampire series to date. Countless characters (Brendan, Charles, Lillian, Brendan, Camilla, did I mention Brendan?) acted very out of character for no other sake than to create drama in the plot, which, because of the weirdly-acting characters, felt quite forced to me. I did think that (for most of the book anyway), the writing didn't feel any different or worse than other books in this series, which was good, but honestly many of the scenes and storylines felt a little ridiculous and silly. So overall, I definitely had my problems with this book, but it was okay on the whole.

My letter to the author: Sienna Mercer

Dear Sienna Mercer,
You did a fantastic job on writing an amazing book. I enjoyed reading this book very much. I think the storyline of the book is very good, as I love mysteries. The book had a lot of moments when things didn’t go as planned, which caused the character to stop and think about what they should do, and how they should solve the problem. I also love the fact that the twins are different, as they both have they’re unique style of themselves. It was described very well, as I could picture it in my head, and visualise what the book was talking about. Overall, the book was very good and I am currently reading “Star Style” and I can’t wait to review that book after I finish it. I would love to try to finish the whole book series, and fantastic job, on writing an amazing book series! Please write more books to add to the collection!

I like this book, it's like all of the other books in the series; it has got vampires, secrets and a bit of mystery.

This is the worst book in the series and yet I still enjoyed it. Rather than my usual 5 star for anything Sienna Mercer writes I'm going to stick with a 3 star for this book. The plot lines were very weak and some of the characters acted differently to how they were previously portrayed.

Luckily though this book was salvaged by Sienna Mercer's wonderful writing and the brilliant characters (Caaaamilla!) I love so much.
