I'm new to archer and bought this book to use as a reference. I have read some sections and scanned the entire contents. The book is clearly an excellent reference based just on my technical background (research engineer / scientist). It is a broad and detailed reference for the sport. From windage charts, to arrow design, to shot technique, explainations of key elements of shooting, on and on. I also did note that on Amazon this book had 20 five stars out of 20 reviewers. It also includes numerous color photos for technique and other aspects of the sport. I bought a digital copy for my kindle fire for $12 and think it is a steal.

This is by far the most educational book I have found on the subject of being a better archer. Written in 2005, it covers everything from proper technique to equipment selection to tuning your bow for maximum effectiveness. I highly recommend this book!
