Morgan St. James writes a powerful suspenseful tale with Fatal Encounter
In Fatal Encounter, the reader is introduced to Crystal, who is your regular single woman, hoping that one day, she will find the one. In the story, she learns that she is stronger than she realizes. This author has a grand imagination, and talent for showing the story. This is a powerful story that comes to life, and you wonder is this real or fiction, and it probably is both. There are many out there, probably in a situation just like Crystal. Obsession is strong and dangerous mind. If you've ever been the survivor of a stalker or someone who supposedly loves you is obsessed with you, then you can relate to this story. Also, beware so you aren't triggered. Obsession is not love, it's danger. Love is not dangerous. Crystal meets Mark, and then things take a turn that she feels she can't get out of. She is scared when she discovers his secrets, and betrayal, but she can't seem to figure out how to get out. Which is something that happens all the time. This story was definitely an attention grabber, so much I couldn't put it down. A wonderous trail of words. It's the kind of story that sends chills down your spine. Bravo to Morgan St. James for showing this story, and bringing it to light, so if you read this recommend it to someone else, and it could be one of the conversation starters that need to be done. Sometimes you have to put the book down, just to take a breath. Fatal Encounter is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. First, I want to thank Morgan St. James for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
WOW!! Morgan St. James made me rethink getting back to dating after reading Fatal Encounter…being single may not be so bad after all! Seriously, this is a book that I feel will hit home to many as the subject matter is relatable.
Fatal Encounter is fast paced, incredibly addicting, heartbreaking at times and one of Morgan’s best written books to date! I was literally on the edge of my seat nibbling on my already short nails! There are some massive twists and turns but nothing could prepare me for the jaw dropping ending. My mind is still spinning out of control!
Morgan asks do you know who you are really dating and who your real friends are?
I will be blunt. I hated Mark’s character right away! His personality and actions reminded me of toxic relationships I have had in the past. However, when you find out the reasoning for his madness you will be flabbergasted!
Morgan dedicates this book to all the victims who have survived abuse and obsessive relationships and to those who have survived.
Unfortunately I didn’t like this book… My main problem was the writing style: it seemed mannered, and I really disliked the main character (she didn’t seem to feel sorry/guilty for dragging these people into a kidnapping situation). I also think that the chapter titles gave too much away. 2.5 ⭐️ rounded up because the last 3-4 pages saved the day, I liked the ending.
I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
