There are tons of unique things to do and see in the Nutmeg State, and this guide has them--including attractions such as the Nathan Hale Homestead in Coventry, the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat Tour, the 250-foot waterfall at Kent Falls State Park, and old-fashioned Connecticut maple syrup at LaMathoe's Sugar House.

I've used this book as a resource when roaming around the state. I used to keep it in in the car and pull it out on random drives just to see what was around us. I recommend it for that use.

When I first got the book, I didn't know a lot about Connecticut so this was very helpful. Seasoned CT folks may not find the places mentioned to be 'rare' or 'off the beaten path,' but if that's you, I believe you'll still find the book useful and will likely read about a location/event/history you didn't know about. It's also nice to have information in one compact place.

Clarification Point: I put this on my 'to read' shelf because while I've read it in bits and pieces, I'm sure I haven't read each and every word in the book.
