Detective Oliver Loveless gets a new partner Detective Erin Samuels, and he is not happy about it. The two detectives are given a case that starts out as a simple homicide of politician Edgar Whitesmith but it quickly becomes a cat-and-mouse game where the fate of Victoria hangs in the balance.
Obviously a lot of time was put into world-building… but there are spelling errors galore, grammar inconsistencies on every page, and some of the prose is literally indecipherable. Seriously, on one page there is Thin Man in a Suit, The Thin Man in a Suite, Thin Man in the Suit. Also in the future, Japan is called Lemochi? There’s not even an L in the Japanese alphabet…
I liked the story but the spelling and grammar errors on the Kindle version were really distracting. I feel like there were parts of the story that could have used padding out a bit and others that didn't need quite as much padding.
