My Dead World 5 is the finale of the My Dead World series.
As time has passed, the virus has changed, but civilization still struggles to rebuild. The only way forward is to find a cure. That cure is in Nila … literally.
Within her, she carries the final gift from twin boys, and one of them is the key to ending it all. While she only wants to move forward with her group, live on the mountain and survive, Nila shoulders the responsibility of the entire human race within her womb.
Decisions are made by the group but things are not what they seem. The good comes with a cost. One thing becomes certain, the end of the world can sometimes be a new beginning.
Don’t miss the thrilling conclusion to one of the most harrowing and impactful series in the genre.
Gotta admit this series is so damn depressing. So much death and destruction even though I knew not to expect sunshine and roses. Weird blend with Katie becoming somewhat clairvoyant in this zombie world. Worse because people realized this about her yet never took her seriously. Which mind you is so weird as she’s supposedly only five years old. Hell she can even write notes and color me blown away. There are some annoying errors throughout the series this book more so with mixing characters especially Nila’s twins. Glad some people made it out alive and found peace.

My Dead World is a fantastic series. Every book is so believable and the characters are the absolute best. I loved every word in each of those books. The story is everyday life and the author's way with words hooked me and kept me for each of those five books and I still wanted more. A brilliant ending that brought tears to my eyes.

This is the last book in this series and I'm sad to see it end.
I've really grown attached to the characters and it was a shame to see so many of them die throughout the series.
The pacing was good and I liked how tense the atmosphere was when Nila found out about certain plans, even if they turned out to be lies.
The potential cure was interesting and I was eager to see if it actually worked or not.
There were a few plot twists that actually surprised me.
The ending was so sweet and the time jump was done well. The extra POV from Katie was a nice addition and I'm glad that everyone got the HEA they deserved
These are not the kind of books I normally read but I got the first one on a kindle daily deal. For the price I thought why not. I finished it in a few days then downloaded the next 2 and pre ordered the 4th. I loved these books so much I actually sent a message to Jacqueline to tell her how much I enjoyed reading them and to ask if there would be a 5th. To my surprise she replied with a lovely email. Now for this book... Bittersweet is all I can say. I'm sad that this is the last book but glad to get a perfect ending. (Sometimes endings are disappointing) You really get a attached to the characters
So there will be spoilers and I'm warning, you know. katie is semi psychic, and they should have realized and started trusting her. I'm still sad by the fact that fleck died in the way he did. I love that there was another child that they didn't know about. I thought that was sweet to add. But I also wish that lev knew. I'm sad that both babies didn't survive. I'm upset that marsha tried to fool them.
the ending was sweet from katies point of view. It's definitely a great story. I loved lev and Corbin and fleck, they were all good characters, and i love sean glad he survived.
I'm a big fan of this genre, and this is over if the best stories I've read. The characters are so real and relatable, you love them, you get mad at them, you cry for them. I don't want to give anything away, but finally reaching the end, you always worry it'll leave you hanging in one way or another... this didn't. A good, solid ending. I'm bummed, I have to find another book to read now... and it's going to be hard to even come close to this series.
This series was a little rough for me to get into and though I’m glad I stuck it out, I won’t say that it will be super memorable for me. It was good, and I love the world building and apocalyptic storyline. I just wanted more believable characters. More depth. And I didn’t like grown up Katie in the last chapter. She could have been so much more interesting and I felt like leaving her in the way it did, lackluster and wasted potential.
So good. This series was so good. So we'll planned, so intelligently thought out... this is what The Walking Dead should've been. We'll thought out characters surviving in a world that was dying. I'm so impressed with this series that I must now go and check out more things this author has written! Wow, so intelligently planned out.. Just can't get over that.
I read all 5 books. It took me a while because I would stop when another loved character was killed. Be warned. This strategy the author employed made me actually not care after a while. I don’t understand why one would write a book that discourages character involvement .
This series is awesome! One of the best apocalypse zombie series I have read. So very well written and the characters are so relatable. Very sad parts but also good, victorious parts. I would definitely recommend reading this series and all her other books.
Wonderful ending to a suspenseful series. Loved every word!! Jacqueline is a masterful writer developing both plot and characters. This will be one of my favorites forever !
At first I couldn’t remember this series which is why I usually wait until the whole series is out to read all the books BUT the more I read the more I remembered. I loved the way this book ended and how the series ended.
This is well worth reading. The series of 5 books takes you on an emotional journey. There are realistic characters , set within a storyline that could happen. Another great series
I laughed. I cried. I had to put the book down because it would get so intense. This series was so well written. It made me feel all the emotions like I was living the apocalypse myself. 10/10 recommended
It was a beautiful ending for such a sad story. The love their shared as a extended family was built on trust. They never just thought about themselves. Together they were able to do something to protect each other and accomplish so much.
Great story telling as always with Jacqueline Druga. Love her stories, simple style. Loved all 5 books. "My Dead World" series so great! Will miss all the characters.
I will just say Lev & Fleck were my favorites. So devastated! But fantastic series. Nila and Katie were fun to follow. Especially Katie never really knowing why or how she was how she was.
I really loved the characters in this series! The author really made the reader feel what the characters were feeling. I highly recommend this series, and the author does a great job of having things come full circle.
I really like Jacqueline Druga's books! This series I could not put down. I love the way she lets you get to know each character and the humor in this series just adds more life to the characters. Can't wait for her next series!!
Really good series and a good ending to the tale . Lots of twists and turns and a few unexpected events. Don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't Read the series yet . Well worth reading.
Wow. Druga hits all the right notes in the big finish to this series. The book had powerful, tense, dangerous moments - moments of great concern - moments of intense uncertainty. And it also had key moments hitting the feels. Well done!
These are some of the best books I have ever read. Great storytelling. It was exciting, funny, sad. Full of everything that creates the best emotions. Wonderful writing.
Very rushed ending to the series, and disappointing compared to the earlier books. The classic happy-enough ending coming as expected with most of Nila's tribe making it back to the cabin 15 years later.
I read all of these books and couldn’t put them down. I’m disappointed that they are over. I wish you would have elaborated a little bit more about why Sean and Nila ended up married . I just can’t see that.
This is my least favourite of the books in this series. I didn't like the James angle or the little girl suddenly turning into an all-knowing, wise psychic. But it does bring the situation to a satisfying end.
What an awesome ending. This series is truly great! I’ve missed all the characters here. I’m so glad to have a ending such as this. Great job, Jacqueline!
