Fortune teller Sunny Meadows and mind reader Kalli Ballas meet on a cruise ship, never imagining they will be cruising into danger…
The cruise starts out with so much potential until a fellow passenger is found dead at sea. Murder on the Palace of the Seas forces the captain to put the ship on lockdown so the killer can’t escape while the investigation ensues. Detectives Mitch Stone and Nik Stevens offer their services, while Sunny and Kalli team up and use their gifts to do a little investigating of the clairvoyant kind.
Mitch and Sunny just want some adult time away from their daughter and son, who are back in Divinity, New York in good hands. While Nik and Kalli are taking their first romantic trip alone together away from their meddling Greek families in Clearview, Connecticut. Chaos ensues, putting the women in crazy situations and the detectives solving more than a murder if they wish to save their relationships.
Will the couples be able to salvage their two tickets to paradise, or will they end up at destination disaster permanently?

This is a cozy mystery as Kari Ballas, Sunny Meadows and their partners go on a cruise and solve a murder. The story has some interesting and quirky characters. Enjoy sailing the ocean as Kari and Sunny reads minds and digs for clues in this sometimes funny story.
I was absolutely thrilled to find both beloved characters, Kalli & Sunny in the same story! That was one jam packed cruise. Can’t wait for the next crossover. Mystical Mavens forever!!
Sunny & Mitch go on a cruise. The magic that makes these books work for me is centered in Divinity, with Granny Gert, Morty and other characters. It all was lost on the cruise ship. There were too many passenger/crew characters to even keep track of, and the writing was confusing & frustratingly ridiculous. I have really enjoyed other books in this series, but this one fell flat for me.
Prior to reading this book, I had read Kalli's stories but no Sunny's so it took a little time to get comfortable with her skill set in the book. With that said, I thought the author did a nice job of building a great crossover book. The two ladies and their cop guys worked well together. They insta-clicked and then the ladies proceeded to get into mischief on the way to solving a murder. The ladies "act" and Kalli's subsequent act with the magician was pretty funny. The mystery was also pretty clever and well done. I will definitely being checking out more of Sunny's books and hope to see the girls in another book together done the road (maybe with the big Greek family included.) We did get a nice does of Kalli's ma and aunt trying to rescue her (by scuba diving to the Bermuda triangle LOL.) I would definitely recommend this book.

Mitch and Sunny, along with their new friends Nik and Kalli, have taken a cruise to have some time away from kids and family. Instead of a wonderful relaxing time at sea, their cruise is marred by a murder on board the ship. In hopes of salvaging something of their cruise, Mitch and Nik offer their skills as detectives along with the help of Sunny, a fortune teller, and Kalli, a mind reader. Can they sort this mess out? Plenty of twists and turns, a little magic and enough laughs will keep you reading far into the night! Fun read!
This book was fun from beginning to end. So many mysteries to solve, clues, plot twists, and the antics of the Greek mama's kept me glued to the pages. Bringing the two special women together for their own brand of sleuthing was brilliant! I hope to see more of them joining forces soon.

This book was so much fun! Two of my favorite characters together. Lots of cruise ship antics as Sunny and Kali become fast friends and solve the mystery together. Love the dynamic between the couples! Can't wait to read more crossovers by Townsend.
Going on a cruise, meeting new people and solving crime is an awesome vaca for the crime fighting duo. Ending a cruise seeing family and getting back to normal! Great little read.
I love cozy mysteries... especially locked-room cozies. They are like catnip to me. But a locked-room mystery on a cruise ship?! Yes please times 100!!!! This cozy had everything I was wanting: psychic female main characters (from two of the authors other series), their detective husbands, murder, mayhem, magic, danger and mystery on the high seas, and so many twist, turns and possible red herrings, it made me head spin. I kept thinking I knew whodunit but then things happened, and I changed my mind. And then again. And again. I was so engrossed in the mystery, I couldn't put it down. My family had to call me to supper twice! LOL
Oh! I can't forget to mention the epic hijinx the Greek mamas got up to. I laughed so hard, tears were rolling.
I highly recommend this cozy mystery (and the two series is tied to: A Sunny Meadows Mystery series and A Kalli Ballas Mystery series). It's fun and funny and quirky and definitely worth reading.
*Fire and Ice* Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I’ve tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To say that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice. - Robert Frost
