The Vampiress
With every action lies a reaction. This is the tale of Vanity, The Vampiress.
WHEN NIGHT FALLS , the city of New Orleans crawls with creatures of a dark nature. I fall victim to Carlisle, the one who calls himself The King—A self-righteous, unremorseful pale one who stole my mortality and left me for dead. His bite is relentless, but MY BLOOD is stimulated when the poison of his kind mixes with the essence of my rare grade, heightening powers buried deep inside of me.
The city has been corrupted under the rule of Adela Rue, Queen of the New Orleans Underworld, surviving ravenous raids, and attacks by her army for decades. I unleash a holy hell on her betrothed, Carlisle, the dark soul who turned me and serves at her side. But when she learns of MY EXISTENCE—MY WRATH—MY PLANS to dethrone her, and free The Big Easy of her reign, she orders my beheading.
A war is sparked as a legion of supernatural beings aid me in my fight to cripple the blood thirsty Queen’s appetite for anarchy— Powerful WITCHES, SEERS, VAMPIRE LORDS, and the SILVER LEAF WOLF CLAN .
Cason, King of the Silver Leaf’s, has sheltered me since I was a lost mortal wandering the city. My newfound, enhanced senses lead us to cross the boundary of our FRIENDSHIP , intensifying our BOND . And with dark forces out to end me, he vows to SLAY MY ENEMIES , protecting me from Adela’s attempts to capture me as we face nights of terror against darkness.
This friends to lovers romantasy is feisty, fun, and full of action and adventure featuring a strong FMC, magic, fated soulmates, two brothers one girl (sibling triangle), second chance romance, chosen ones, amnesia, rejected mates, gore, age-gap romance, BWAM romance and Black romance.

Thought it was really a good story. The characters were strong and complex.
Vixen was the FMC, a vampire I really enjoyed her development.
Cason is our MMC, an alpha werewolf.
All of the supporting characters were well placed.
I definitely recommend this book.
