It was never part of the plan to move back to Raven Bay, but things just didn’t work out in the city. Her mom is more than willing to welcome her back, and it seems that not much has changed in the sleepy old lake town, or has it?
Astrid seems to be bumping into old high-school classmates at every turn, and when her old best friend, Rachel, shows up at her birthday party she is thrilled. The feeling is short lived however, a body has turned up on the shores of Raven Bay, and the ghost has sought Astrid out, to help solve a murder.
Seeing ghosts is one thing, learning you’re a witch is another.
Astrid always had Raven Bay down as a quaint lakeside getaway. Upon returning home she realizes nothing is further from the truth. She’s only back in town a few days when she uncovers a decades old secret that seems to have been magically removed from everyone’s mind. To make matters worse there seems to be a connection to a new murder.
Has a killer been roaming the streets of her hometown all this time?
With her friend’s reputation on the line, she finds herself falling headfirst into a life-threatening murder mystery. Clues are hiding everywhere, and when she starts to uncover the truth, the killer turns their sights on Astrid.
At least there’s a high-school crush back on the scene. He’s smooth, charming, and even has a pair of handcuffs in his pocket—but he is the town sheriff after all. With a murder to solve Astrid finds plenty of excuses to hang around the dreamy officer.
That’s if her talking cat, Renny, can give her a minute to think.

Good stories and characters if you can get past the grammar errors
Can get hooked on the people and places but get terribly sidetracked by the misuse of simple English. Like then and than, and of and on some simple editing would be wonderful and the use of British terms in a book set in American. It's frustrating and really detracts from the flow of the book
I loved the storyline, who doesn't like magic etc. My biggest problem was lots of little grammatical errors that made the sentence nonsense to read. Removal of only a word or rearranging the wording would fix every error, something proofreading by someone not involved in the writing of the story could easily take care of.
An interesting take on the supernatural crime genre. Very warm-hearted and fun, hilts also being very easy reading. My only complaint is that the last part of book four felt rushed and the epilogue was a little too ‘happy ever after’! If there were so many mysteries that had happened why not tell us about them? Still, a very enjoyable read.
The stories kept my interest start to finish. Could only pick out the evil person in one story. Loved the characters. Cherry was a hoot. Ren could have had a little more to do with his part, but he was quite fun. Did have a little trouble with some of the words and sentence structure but was able to get past that.
Returning home after years away from home, and the paper she worked for closing due to theft of funds, this home town girl finds out she is a witch. Never knowing about magic as a child she has a lot to learn and remember about the town and things everyone has forgotten since before she left home. Good series.
I enjoyed reading this set of four book, but was also sad that because it was the complete set. I liked the characters who were a diverse bunch. I liked the talking cat too, mainly because he was funny and quirky.
These stories about Attie were a delight to read. I felt like they flowed together nicely. There were a few typos but they didn't detract from the story. If you want to be entertained by all means read these stories. They are fun and entertaining.
After reading another series by this author, I was unsure about this book. This was a great improvement and thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend reading them. Well developed characters and storylines.
I enjoyed the stories and escaping into the world presented by the author. The stories each were stand alone books----meaning that each one included a resolution and can be read independently from the others. There were a few errors, but overall a thumbs up.
As in all her books this collection was of the most engaging and enjoyable. I love the fact that whatever the problems, they always find answers so the scary bits are manageable. Can't wait to read more.
Liked the characters, easy to set the scene for the environment and no flashbacks to the past. The three books almost followed on from each other and this was good. No loose ends at the end.
I luv this series fun, witches and mayhem, what more could you ask for. Mara is an exceptional writer. Raven Bay Witches has it all romance, luv, heartache mystery and magic. Thank you Mara
I enjoyed this series of books very much. I like that it was descriptive in both characters and scenery. I do enjoy when a book is written in such a way that I can see and almost feel everything. I'm sure many others will enjoy the series.
This series has murders, mysteries, loads of magic, new and old, romance, angst, and some slightly crazy town citizens and family members. The paranormals are mostly witches. Highly recommend.
"Raven Bay Witch Mysteries" is a must read! Addictive in that you can't put it down until you reach the end... But... IS it the "end'? Stay tuned! Only time will tell! 💞
This series is absolutely fantastic, each book was better than the last one. Really gripping. The main character was so likeable you were rooting for her from the start
This is a nice gentle book, that is a very good read, I enjoyed all the books in the series, I would have liked a longer ending, but it's still a good read.
