This was the first book I’ve read by Caitlyn Dare. It deals with self harm and is the seventh book in the Heirs of Hallows series. I would definitely recommend starting with book one as some of the characters made me feel like I’d missed something. I’ve been seeing the promos for this book and that’s why I took a chance on this book instead of starting at the beginning.
Abi is trying to cope with the trauma of her past. She’s trying to hide and drown in her mystery. Her friends try to support her but one of the Hallows Heir is made to make her feel again.
Elliot’s fate is already written out; he’s a Hallows Heir after all. His dad has big plans for him and they don’t involve his feelings. Can Elliot support Abi or will he catch the feels that can ruin everything?
This is part one of a duet so the story continues….
KU read There are triggers in this book. The writing is addictive and I enjoy entertaining this world.
This is by far my favourite book of her. The way that Abby was grieving made me grieve with her, i couldn´t stop crying. The way the girls tried everything to make her feel better made love them even more. Abby is by far my favourite female character by her, because of what she made me feel with her. Elliot was everything how he wanted the best for Abbi, how he thought that he didn´t deserved it and the way he tried to help her was everything to me. Since the first moment, i knew that they were going to be my favourite couple of the series, and they didn´t disappoint. The only thing that i hate about this book was the ending because HOW I´M SUPPOSE TO WAIT UNTIL THE SECOND PART. I really loved everything about this book, i cried with it.
I received an Arc copy by the author and Deviant Hearts Pr in exchange of an honnest review
We are getting another installment in the Heirs of All Hallows series. And, if you have been reading them Elliot and Abigail’s story is one you have been dying for. Although you could read the duets independently of one another, I would recommend reading them from the beginning. This is a darker read, there are trigger topics to be aware of. They are incorporated well into the storyline. This is an angsty read. Heavy topics to deal with. We have insights into Abigail’s life from the other books, but Elliot has been an enigma. The push and pull of the storyline is addicting. It builds so well that the cliffy blindsided me. I know, I should have seen it coming, man was that Rough.

i can't believe abi & elliot are finally here😭🙏🏼 i've been waiting for their story since the first book in the series and they definitely delivered.
both of these characters are broken but somehow made each other whole again. their connection was so intense even in the previous books- where both (or mainly elliot) tried to keep their distance. the amount of quotes i highlighted about them in every book is almost concerning💀 but as i said they got me obsessed from the first moment.
"There aren't many people in this world that can make me lose my grip on reality, but the shy, petite redhead is certainly on of them. Actually, she might be the only one."
abi- i have so admit i have a soft spot for redheaded female characters so i knew abbie would be no exception. my heart broke for her and the pain she went through (in this book especially). her paint & grieving process was portrayed so perfectly that it almost felt real.
"If I didn't know better, I'd go as far as to say he's looking at me like I'm his."
elliot- you became one of my new book boyfriends very quickly🤭 i just love him and i really wanted to give him a hug cause this boy needs it😭
i lovedddd the found family scenes we got- especially the girls friendship❣️ now i need part two like yesterday (the cliffhanger was really mean🙄) so i'm BEGGING please release it soon😭
Savage Vicious Heirs: Part one is, not only, the seventh book in the Heirs of All Hallows series but fourth duet of the series. I highly recommend reading the previous books as there are many cameos and continuing plot lines.
I seriously thought Theo and Raine were my favorite couple of this series, but damn, Elliot and Abi are definitely the running for first. Seriously, this keeps getting better and better and this one had me on a emotional rollercoaster! I am loving this series so much, I literally cannot stop recommending it. Getting excited about the next book!!!
Emotional and aching, Savage Vicious Heir is bound to touch your soul.
I love Abi. She's been my favorite ever since the beginning of the series, with her underlining darkness, hidden by innocence and insecurity and I was so excited for her story. Elliot is her perfect dark prince. Usually brash and callous, the tenderness he has for her is heartwarming. The connection they have is palpable, consuming and undeniable and though their road to each other is sharp and winding, I can't wait for the rest of their story!
The first 70 percent or so of this book is pretty much repeating itself over and over.. It’s almost as though this story line was a last minute after thought. The remainder of the book was better and I am actually interested to find out what happened
Elliot & Abigail are here! I've been waiting for these two since the beginning! Ends in a cliffhanger!
Their friends have teased them throughout the series. Now we get their sides of the story.
Abigail Bancroft, daughter of a Judge. She was in a car accident years before claiming her Mother's life, and leaving her scarred inside and out. And having feelings for Elliot Eaton, the last Heir standing, she's heard the rumours, his reputation but that doesn't stop her. But after getting the courage to kiss him, be rejected and the news of her Father's passing all in the same night, she's more than heartbroken, she's numb, a walking shell of herself.
Elliot Eaton, his Father has planned his life out. He's got the reputation of the Eaton name to uphold. Unlike his older brother Scott, who's the golden child, everything's been handed to him, Elliot's had to work hard for some sort of recognition. But it's never good enough for his Father. There's something dark in Elliot. He's gotten good at wearing a mask. But Abi has gotten through his defences. He sees her. She's got a bit of darkness in her too. But he can't go there with her. His Father would never approve or accept her. Keeping her at arms length is the safest option. It all changes when he finds her at her worst.
Abi's withdrawn and sunk into depression, her friends are worried about her. Elliot more or less barges himself into helping her. Abi wants nothing to do with him. He broke her heart. She needs to move on. She's not what Elliot wants. Spending time together, they come to an understanding of such. She sees through him, it should scare her, but it doesn't. She feels safe with him. Can they sneak around in the shadows? Can she trust him not to hurt her again?
My heart broke for Abi. I ugly cried hard! And desperately need part two, like yesterday!
This duet begins with Abi "Red" in bereavement at her father's passing and Elliot wanting to comfort her but reluctant, especially after that kiss in the previous book. He's afraid of giving the wrong message since he felts he can't be with her. With the lead up from other books in the series, I expected this one between favorite couple Abi and Elliot to be premiere -- as in saving the best for last. Instead, it missed the mark in so many way causing me to lose interest early on.
Elliots dominant and hinted at but yet to be portrayed BDSM kinkiness turned into cinnamon roll protectiveness. The more hesitant he became and the more altruism he displayed, I became more I lost interest in his character and more hopeful to read about his wicked, overbearing, and favorite-son brother Scott. The interactions between Elliot's father, too, added to the appeal. Even Elliot's OCD in keeping order and cleanliness in the Chapel added more interest than the push (and very little pull) much of his part of the story.
I expected and liked Abi's sweetness and sparks fierceness, and aside from her infatuation with Elliot, which she tried to suppressed, most of the book dealt with her grieving, dealing with loss and emptiness. I didn't really experience her despair and forlornness so much as I read about it. I wasn't able to feel an emotional connection, and by 50% into the book, even if I had felt one, I was not interested in the continued woe-is-me thoughts.
This story is marketed as a slow burn, but for me, it was just slow, recounting Abi's personal grief and wish for Elliot, and Elliot's feelings that Abi could and should do better by not being with someone like him. A punch of jealousy added a much needed bit of angst to push the romance forward since without some other woman / other man drama, the storyline was too linearly centered on one theme. I enjoyed the appearance by and interactions with friends from the previous books in the series. Unfortunately, these weren't enough to maintain my interest.
An easy read, the writing wasn't bloated, and it was told from first person, two-person point of view. It was not particularly spicy, but more importantly, it was simply too slow, with too little occurring, lacking a complexity in plot / sub plot. The cliffhanger garnered more attention to want to pull into the next book.
We FINALLY get Elliot and Abi's story! I've read the rest of the Heirs stories and seeing these two on the sidelines getting closer, seeing the tension getting thicker, I think this story has been highly anticipated!! I feel like this one is darker than the other books and deals with some things at the start that might be triggering to some. As always, with this authors writing, you are pulled into the world of the Heirs and you cannot find it in yourself to put the book down! Caitlyn certainly knows her characters and I find the conversations and dialogue are perfectly suited. Abi is hurting, and the absolute devastation and heartbreak that she's facing is almost tangible. Going through what she is, I can relate. This author has written Abi and what she's coping with really well that brings up a lot of feelings. She feels hopeless and everyone is doing what they can to help, but when you're that far down the depression rabbit hole, you also need to help yourself as well. It's hard, and it's debilitating at times. Elliott has always been the quiet, reserved one, but learning more about him in this book you realise he's carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, only letting people see what he wants them too, the facade he puts up is getting tiring and you can tell that he's close to the edge. You have to feel sorry for him too, because the expectations put on him are suffocating. There's more to Elliot's story, there's certain things said that hint at this, and I find myself curious as to what it is an eager to find out. It seems finally Abi is coming out of her heartbreak, only to be put straight back there! That cliff-hanger?! Oh my God, my stomach dropped into my shoes! I'm shocked! There's certainly some mean, nasty people in their world, that's for sure! I don't even have words for that! But now I need book 2!! I need to know what happens!
The emotional toll is deep with Abigail and Elliot in the beginning of this final Heirs duet.
Oh, how my heart ached for Abigail as she swam in the dark waters of her grief. She's just lost her father, her last remaining relative on top of just being rejected by the one boy she's been crushing on, Elliot Eaton. She's beyond broken as this book begins and I have to say, the writing is visceral and completely gripping. Abigail is falling apart, her heart has been ripped apart by so much devastation that she's drowning and every person or moment in her life seems like an obstacle. She can't see past the point of even leaving her bed and it's truly heartbreaking 💔 😢. Everything Abigail is suffering is so real, the moments are tangible. For anyone with triggers please read the CW before jumping into this book as Abi's pain is felt dripping off the pages.
Now for Elliot...that boy...he is a mess in a different way. Yes, the formidable Elliot Eaton doesn't have it all together. Even with the constant teasing and eye-fu€king that has been going on between him and Abi and that literally everyone knows about, he keeps her at arms length. So what is the hold up? 🤔 Elliot's life isn't necessarily his to live. He's the son to a billionaire and his father is a grade-a a-hole. Elliot's life is mapped out and it doesn't include Abigail Bancroft. 😭 I hate mean parents and his father is one of the worst.
This first part of the duet contains a ton of angst, not only with Abi's emotional health and Elliot's reactions to it, but as the layers peel back and more is discovered about Elliot's own emotional welfare. I have to say that this last duet is cracking up to be the biggest emotional rollercoaster of the series. I am very excited to see how everything ties up and how the Heirs go forth in their lives upon the conclusion. I can hardly wait.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is a dark high school romance. However, I promise you it doesn't feel like a high school romance at all. This is the story of Abigail and Elliott. If you have read the other book in this series, you know that Abigail is friends with the girlfriends of the other Heirs and Elliot is the last Heir who hasn't fallen for anyone. I will go ahead and warn you that this book is not sunshine and roses. Abigail has lost her father and he was the last of her family that she had. Now she is alone in the world and grieving. I always knew that Abi was shy but never really knew that she felt some of the things that she feels. My heart really broke for her and she is bound and determined to go through all of this alone. She doesn't want the girls to be around and since she kissed Elliot at the end of the last book and his reaction was not good she feels rejected from him, the guy she has had a thing for for the longest time. Elliot is silently suffering too. He is the second son and always compared to the first who is the golden child. I do think that some things about him have not been revealed at all. He is never told that he is enough, just that he has to stack up to the things that this older brother has accomplished. I don't want to go into detail about the story. I felt like I flew though it because I just had to know what was going to happen. I will say that I closed this book mad as can be. UGH I need the next book in my hand right away. I have to know what is going to happen right away.
ARC Review 🖤Savage Vicious Heir🖤 Heirs of All Hallows #7
By Caitlyn Dare
⭐ 5/5 ❤️ 5/5 🌶️ 3/5
🖤 Dark Romance 🖤 High School Romance 🖤 Bully Romance
So different than the rest
Abigail Sad, alone and depressed
Elliot Tortured, under pressure and torn
“What do you want?””You.” That one word rocks me to the core. It's all I've wanted to hear.
Two lost and sad souls meant for each other but unable to come together. Abi had to go through her biggest loss and that put her to a bad and dark place she is unable to come back from. The only one who seems to get her is Elliot, but said boy took his part in turning her into the bad space because of his reaction. Elliot is born to be an heir, to be like his brother, but Elliot is not like his family wants him to be. He only puts on a facade. He secretly wants Abi, knowing he can't and shouldn't want her. Drag her into his life. So he keeps hurting her by not being able to completely stay away. Abi thinks she doesn´t fit in anywhere, has no one and won´t accept being the fifth wheel or being befriended due pity. She can't see anything else but her pain and her own loud thoughts. She knows she has to get help but can't bring herself to get it. Shame, guilt and more hold her back. When Elliot steps up and helps her, it seems that everything looks finally in the right direction. Until there is someone who knows too much and interferes in the meanest and baddest way ever. Abi is humiliated and destroyed. Has Elliot only played her? And was her little friendship with Ethan just for show? And what will Abi do now, after finding out what she has? Shocking cliffhanger.
Savage Vicious Heir: part one is here and it totally broke my heart and put me through an emotional whirlwind. Because Abi and Elliot's story isn't an easy one . When I thought that their time finally came and they will find their happily ever after all the bad things happen at once . Abi lost her father and is emotionally drowning in grief and is cutting bonds with her friends. Elliot is under pressure from his father's expectations and his brother messing with his life . He's struggling with finding his way and taking control of his life. And that's why he sends so many mixed signals to Abi and he messed her up more . I felt all the pain that Abi went through and loved it when she get those happy moments. All the time I thought that there is something wrong with Ethan and his sudden appearance in Abi's life but didn't expected that. And what Elliot did was such a disappointment . His inability to make a decision and to stand for himself and the one person he cares about was such a downgrade. He has so much to do to redeem himself and I hope Abi don't forgive him fast. He has so much groveling to do . And now I don't know how all of this will unfold and play out so that Abi and Elliot to have a happily ever after. And I'm sitting here wondering can I or cannot wait for the second book of that story. Because once again Caitlyn Dare did her best writing Abi and Elliot's story and left as hanging there and wondering what at all happened.
I received an ARC copy of this book by Deviant Hearts PR and this is my honest opinion.
Caitlyn Dare always knows how to suck you in from the very first sentence and keep you in a chokehold until the very last page.
I've been highly anticipating Abi and Elliot's story. I knew there was going to be so much behind the angry Heir and quiet Abi "Red" Bancroft.
At the end of Brutal Callous Heir, you are left watching Abi fall apart as she gets the devastating call about her fathers passing. And, to top it off, rejection from Elliot just before her world implodes.
Her feelings just bleed onto the pages. It's so heartbreaking watching her fall to pieces. It's even more heartwrenching watching Elliot flounder as he has no clue how to fix things for her. Himself struggling with self-hatred and not wanting to make things worse for Abi by dragging her into his turbulent family life.
But, they just can't seem to stop the attraction both feel for one another. And, the more Abi pushes away, the more obsessed Elliot becomes.
I really, REALLY wanted to see Elliots impenetrable walls smash to smithereens, and we see a little of that further into the book, but I just expected more from him. I'm hoping that in book two, he just loses control completely. I want to see Elliot completely lose it for Abi and create the chaos I know he's fully capable of creating. Honestly, I wish I saw more from both of them earlier into the story. I understand grief is all-encompassing at times, but things really only started to progress with them around 60% into the book. Again, I know this was a lead up to book two, and I can not wait to see how things progress with these two!
I really really hate giving this three stars. I even debated not reviewing/rating this, because I've been so excited for Abi/Elliot to finally have their story 'finished'.
I was underwhelmed. Why? It was nothing but angst. While the previous books also had angst (teenagers, right?), this was just.... constant inner angst dwelling. Not much really happened, aside from the back and forth of inner thoughts and 'should I/I shouldn't'. Over and over again, the same angsty thoughts almost ad nauseam.
I liked that Abi was flawed, moreso than the other girls. I liked that she legitimately grieved, had panic attacks, actually didn't bounce back. I didn't like that she (spoiler stuff happens)but at the same time, I did like it, because I absolutely understand the feeling of needing that release. She was the least perfect of the FMCs in this series, to me, but that made her the most perfect.
I liked seeing behind the curtain of Elliot. I liked that he had such a cold, reserved demeanor to almost everyone, but from almost the beginning of this series, he had a soft spot for Abi. Everyone knew it, even if he didn't want to admit it. He had a softer, caring side even if he showed it in a really awkward and sometimes pissed-off manner. I think he and Oakley have always been my favourites, so yay, he finally gets his time in the spotlight.
But godalmighty, the constant angst, mostly in their thoughts, just kept going. And then it repeated. And repeated. There was some action, and interaction with others, but the inner turmoil seemed a little excessive, even given what they were both going through. I don't need it hammered into my head constantly. Maybe that's just me, and maybe I'm outgrowing the teen-angst books of this genre. Or maybe I just think it was mostly filler for what would have been a much shorter book, since we've kind of seen all of the tension building up throughout the series. I don't know.
There were a few errors/typos, but eh, in this genre you kind of expect it. They were noticeable, but thankfully just a few. So I'll let it slide. The writing was typical, one sentence paragraphs seem to be the trend for these types of books. Sometimes I find it really annoying, especially when you have 5+ one sentence paragraphs in a row.
The cliffhanger was decent, but I feel like I already know why it happened, and what's going to happen in the next book. I'll be reading it, so hopefully I'll be proven wrong. And hopefully the inner angst level won't rise. If it stays the same, I guess I'll survive.
So yeah, I took two stars off. One for the angst-orama, and one because I would have liked to read more about their earlier encounters as a buildup, not just as side characters in others' stories. We can't always get what we want, though, right?
Still, everyone seems to rate it on an average of 5 stars, so my 3 won't make much impact. Thus, I feel justified.
I'm so excited to read Elliot and Abi's story! I think this one is more emotional and hitting harder because we've gotten to know both Abi and Elliot some over the course of the series. The tension has been building and now we finally get to see it all play out. I am loving all the angst and turmoil!
OMG, my heart hurts for Abi! I feel as absolutely destroyed as she does. She is such a sweet girl and someone who I can easily relate to. Here she is suffering through her grief and has to have all this other stuff thrown on top, it's almost too much to bear. She might be quiet but she's a fighter and I admired her quiet strength.
Elliot is still a bit of an enigma. He’s got walls so high that they seem impossible to get through. He is fighting his feelings and seems unwillingly to relent. I want to fall for him but he's still a little to hot and cold for my liking.
While this duet can be read as a standalone you will get a much better view of the characters if you read the series in order. It's a fantastic series so you should read it anyway! I loved all the banter between the guys and the unending support from the girls. It's such an amazing friend group! I can't wait to get the second half of this story because that ending about broke my heart. I would highly recommend Savage Vicious Heir!
I have been anxiously awaiting Elliot and Abigail's story since reading the very first book in this MUST read series and this first book of the duet most certainly did not disappoint. There are so many surprises that kept me glued to this book from beginning to end, then we get the juiciest and most astonishing of endings that I will now be anxiously awaiting book 2 of this duet.
Caitlyn Dare has always provided stories that entertain, surprise, excite and so much more that I always look forward to each new book she writes. If you enjoy dark, bully, sports romances with lots of steam, shocking surprises and terrific entertainment then I encourage you to not only read this series but all of Ms. Dare's books.
Savage Vicious Heir can be read as a standalone alone but I highly encourage reading the whole Heirs of All Hallows' series beginning with the prequel Wicked Heinous Heirs. Each duet in this series can be read as standalones but they continue to follow a cast of characters you will find yourself invested in their lives and looking forward to each new story with each new couple with updates on previous couples as well. The Heirs of All Hallows' series has been a favorite of mine and I hope that it will be loved by each new & old reader of Caitlyn Dares. Happy Reading!!
O.M.G…Elliot’s and Abi’s story is finally here. I loved it and can’t wait for SVH Part 2! I have missed All Hallow’s world and all of its characters! Elliot and Abi have been not so secretly falling for each other but fighting it! I can understand Elliot’s concerns as they are not unfounded as evidenced by the cliffhanger of an ending!! Can’t wait to see what is going to happen next. I am rooting for Elliot and Abi!! Caitlyn has long been a favorite author of mines. I started her Rebels of Sterling Prep series and there was no turning back. Caitlyn is the type of author that draws you in and doesn’t not let go! You are always waiting on pins and needles for her next release. I love reading Caitlyn’s books because she has a way of having her characters that you can’t help but love and empathize with. Caitlyn can bring out all the feels and can make you laugh, cry, get mad, etc. I often get strange looks when reading her books because I have been known to smile one minute and then five minutes later there will be tears rolling down my face. I love that. To me, an author that can make you feel for and empathize with their characters is my favorite! I highly recommend Savage Vicious Heir, All Hallows series, and Caitlyn Dare as an author! Happy reading!!
Oh my! I’ve waited this whole series for Elliot and Abi. I was sucked in from the moment I dived in. But this story has to break your heart and leave you ready for part 2. I hope Elliot fixes it (let’s be honest he HAS too). Love this series so dang much.
Abi is so unlike all the other female characters we have met in this series so far. She is shy and quiet and keeps to herself. Elliot has secrets that he has kept away from everyone, including his best friends. He wants Abi, but he isn't sure that he's what she needs.
Abi is trying to pull herself out of depression. From losing her father and Elliot's rejection when she kissed him. She feels she lost two people. Elliot wants to show her he's still there, but he also is trying to maintain the facade that he isn't into her. His friends see through him. A few days alone with Abi and he can't seem to shake her anymore than he could before. But the feelings are growing.
But nothing is easy. Elliot's family has a plan for his life. And those plans don't involve Abi. Even if he let himself believe he could have her, even for a while, all of that is ruined in a matter of minutes. And then the book ends.
I felt like I was holding my breath for the majority of this book. I could not put it down and my heart broke for Abi. PLEASE read your trigger warnings.
I have been waiting what feels like forever for Elliott and Abi's story. I knew it was going to be good but I did not expect to be so emotionally invested that I am now sitting here about as lost as Abi. I felt all the tears, lonliness, confusion, grief, happiness, peace and pain that she felt. Elliott is just as lost as Abi and we get glimpses into the why but I need more. I need for Elliott to explain some thought processes he had here and how he thought things would go down. To say Elliott has some explaining to do is a massive understatement. All of it has me exceptionally worried for Abi. She was already fighting so many demons and now it feels like she's been thrust back beyond the level of pain she was at to begin with. Like I said I'm really emotionally invested with Abi.
While this one was heavy emotionally it is still an amazing read. I can see Abi coming out of this a complete bad a$$ but I can see the flip side too and that worries me for her. All I know is I need part 2 so I can feel complete. I knew there was going to be a cliffhanger but man this is a tough one and will undoubtedly leave me with a book hangover.
I know any time I can feel this level of emotional attachment to a character it's usually a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me and this is no exception. The spice was minimal but fits the plot and the characters at this moment. I have my predictions for part 2, some I hope are wrong, I will have to patiently wait to get all the answers. Thankfully with the previous stories in the series these boys know the art of groveling so I'm opptmistic Elliott will pull out all the stops for this one 🤞
Savage Vicious Heir ( Heirs Of All Hallows Book 7 ) Tropes 🖤Dark Romance 💜High school Romance 🖤Bully Romance 💜possessive Alphaholes🖤touch her and die vibes . Let me just start by saying that there has never been a book or series I’ve read by Caitlyn that failed to exceed all my expectations and just completely blew me away . Well Elliott and Abi’s story was no different. It really was and is one of the best books I’ve read this year . A emotional rollercoaster that has the ability to suck you right in from the page one . Not to mention stir so many different and unexpected emotions you’ll never be expecting . Everything from being utterly speechless, to screaming outta pure frustration, to smiling one minute and bawling your eyes out the next . You’ll be glued to the edge of your seat and you without a doubt will not be able to stop yourself from rooting so freaking hard . I absolutely loved both Elliott and Abi so much- two people who are so beautifully written, so unique , complex and multi layered. Watching both fight the attraction they feel and secretly falling for each other . The angst , the witty banter , the push and pull , the drama , the unexpected surprises, the off the charts chemistry, the love , the passion, the secrets , the heartbreaking and heartfelt moments. The family and friendships. It has it all and so much more .
This author is new to me. However, the genre is not. If you’ve read Caitlyn Dare before then as a reader, you already know what to expect from her.
There is no amount of time in which to grieve for the loss of a loved one. It is insurmountable. Abby’s friends rallied around her to support her in her time of need. Elliott has only ever wanted the best for Abby, he thinks that he is not deserving of her, because of heavy expectations imposed on him by his family, but you can see he has a heart of gold in the way he tried to help her.
Both of these characters have been hurt and have endured pain, but somehow they gravitated towards each other, making each other whole again. Their connection was undeniable. Keeping their distance from one another was futile.
If you love dark, angsty, bad boy/ good girl, academia, chemistry, protective alpha, broken heroine, witty banter, a tight knit circle of friends, tension, slow burn with emotions that have all the feels and a cliffhanger that you didn’t see coming, then this book is definitely for you.
Highly recommend both the author and the book.
I received an ARC. Therefore, I'm submitting a voluntary review.
The wait is finally over for Abi and Elliot's story from The Heirs of All Hallows. This is the first book in the duet and it is soul crushing. I mean that nicely. Please check trigger warnings before reading, this one gets dark.
The story picks up where it ended in The Brutal Callous Heir. Abi finds herself in a dark depression and no way out. As a person who lost a parent at a young age, I can somewhat relate to her. I like Abi's character, I feel like she was written to relate to the readers on a more personal level. There is only so much one person can handle before they explode. I believe Abi might just be at her breaking point. Everyone will need to watchout.
Elliot is the final Hier and under a great deal of pressure from his very toxic family. You can see Elliot wants to do the right thing for Abi, but he is unsure of what and how to accomplish it. It seems he is always taking one step forward; just to land two steps back. Elliot is going to have to do some major groveling to make amends for all the hurt he caused Abi.
I can’t wait to read Part two of this story and see where this relationship goes.
The last one of the heirs is going to fall for his other half, and he will fall hard for her. Elliot has been the most intriguing to me throughout the previous books, he has the most mystery surrounding him. And now, piece by piece, I got to learn things about him. Abigail has just lost her father, now having no family left. And she is devastated. She feels all alone, even though the girls try to include her, she feels like everyone will just leave her at one point. There were many times I just wanted to hold her, comfort her, even when things turn dark in her world. The author did a wonderful job writing those dark thoughts and acts. But that cliffhanger, I knew something was coming, can’t deny that. But this, no, never would have expected that. Had to read the last chapter three times before I fully understood what just happened. I really hope I don’t have to wait too long for the next book, now wondering how Elliot will get out of this and the groveling, yes, looking forward to that as well.
My goodness talk about nail bitter and way to end with us wanting more ! Holy god I can’t wait for the next one . I feel so said for red “abi” her father just passed away her only family left . Her friends are all paired up and dating and she feels so alone . She has a huge crush on Elliot the last heir single . All her friends go away but Elliot stays behind bc he feels like she needs help! Without giving away to much abi falls down a bad path for a while and Elliot tried to stay away but has this pull on needing to help. She stays with him while everyone else is away so he can help her ! They grow closer but then further apart when the rest of the group get back. Ethan a kid in a school tries to be friends with her but she is standoff ish. I don’t want to spoil to much Please read it sooo good I’m praying Elliot gets his stuff together :-( This is a must read and I can’t wait for the next one .
