Her parents were never going to be in favor of her involving herself in dangerous investigations, but even more so now that they are seeing it with their own eyes. But this tragedy concerns a friend of Tabby’s, and more importantly, she has a distraught teenager counting on her for answers.

However, as more and more information comes to light, Tabby wonders if she’s only going to give the girl more questions than closure, especially because all details are leading to another murder in Crystal Cove.

Join Tabby, Jay, and Sherlock as they team up once again, despite all road blocks, to get to the truth.

New beginnings

I loved meeting Tabby’s father finally in this book. After all the hoopla it was great to see the two of them work together. This book was both sad and triumphant. The loss of a young woman, caregiver for her younger sister which turns out to be a much thornier problem than it first appeared. The beginnings of something new and good for the Town of Crystal Cove. Maybe Mondays aren’t so bad after all.

The latest book in the Crystal Cove series has Tabby and Jay torn between helping Aron win getting elected Mayor and finding out who or what killed a sister witch.

Tabby has asked her dad to come to Crystal Cove to meet Aron and help plan his campaign but just before he arrives she and Jay get word of a homicide. Initially it looks like suicide but as they investigate it, it proves to be murder. Someone killed her but why? She was helping Marigold on a project but could that be the reason or could it have been her best friend’s boyfriend who she was trying to get her to break up with or someone else closer to her.

This is a great whodunnit which you’ll enjoy as much as I did reading it! Denise’s books are always entertaining and fast-paced and you’ll be amazed at how fast the pages fly by as you get caught up in the story!

As always Sherlock has to have a paw in this mystery too as he points Tabby to the culprit before the evidence backs him up. Now wouldn’t it be great if we could all “talk” to our pets like Tabby does and have them reciprocate!

I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend this latest whodunnit as one you’ll enjoy as you once again get to read about your favorite book friends and their exciting adventures in tracking down criminals!

I think when you’re finished with this book, you’ll also
want to read the other books in the series and find out how Tabby came to Crystal Cove and later on how her sister Pepper came as well!

There is magic in the air and in the blue crystals that are found here. Join in the growing legion of fans who look forward anxiously to each new release Denise puts out!

You’ll be glad you did!

Love this series! Lots of magic in Crystal Cove but also lots of other real issues. As a news junky this one about running a mayoral campaign is fun for me. As usual- we’ll done!

"Morbid Monday: A Tabitha Chase Day of the Week Cozy Mystery" by Denise Jaden delivers a delightful blend of intrigue and familial dynamics in the quaint setting of Crystal Cove. Tabby, unintentionally entangling her estranged father, Senator Conrad Chase, in the mayoral campaign of Detective Aaron Thom, finds herself embroiled in another Crystal Cove tragedy.

Jaden deftly navigates the complexities of family ties and investigative instincts as Tabby faces disapproval from her parents for delving into dangerous inquiries. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a gripping tragedy involving a friend, compelling Tabby to unravel the mystery. The genuine emotional stakes heighten as a distraught teenager looks to Tabby for answers.

As Tabby pieces together the puzzle, Jaden skillfully maintains a sense of suspense, leaving readers on the edge of their seats. The author cleverly explores the idea that seeking the truth may lead to more questions than answers, especially when the trail points toward the possibility of another murder in the tranquil Crystal Cove.

The camaraderie between Tabby, Jay, and Sherlock adds charm and humor to the narrative, infusing the cozy mystery with a delightful touch. Jaden's storytelling prowess shines through, creating an authentic and engaging tale that keeps readers hooked until the final revelation.

"Morbid Monday" stands out not only for its clever mystery but also for its exploration of the delicate balance between family obligations and personal convictions. Denise Jaden crafts a compelling narrative that seamlessly weaves together elements of mystery, familial relationships, and the quest for truth in the charming and atmospheric setting of Crystal Cove.

When the interim mayor tries to arrange a speedy election, Tabi calls her father, Senator Chase for help. Before he arrives in town, a local witch, Sheena Park, is found dead by her younger sister, Judy. While the initial consensus is suicide, Tabi isn’t so sure. She has her younger friend, Katie’s family take Judy in and promises to do all she can to find answers.

Senator Chase immediately bonds with Detective Thom and outlines several strategies to help his campaign. Tabi notices her dad is having health issues and gets him a referral to Olivia’s doctor. They run into opposition from the deputy mayor as they prepare to launch Aaron’s candidacy. Tabi also learns that Marigold, Rachael, & Sheena opposed the interim mayor at odds with the other witches. Could Sheena’s death have a more sinister origin? When Aaron goes missing Tabi fears the worst.

In the sixth book of the Tabitha Chase series, Ms. Jaden has crafted an intriguing mystery and built on the family relationships of the main characters. Tabi has always felt like a disappointment to her ambitious father. When he comes to help her, she begins to see their relationship in a new light. Her parents’ growing acceptance of Tabi’s decision to live in Crystal Cove helps bring healing to them. I’m looking forward to more of Crystal Cove’s magic.

The temporary mayor of Crystal Cove has somehow sped up the election for a permanent replacement for the former mayor who has gone to jail. Tabby bites the bullet and calls in for some major help to get her friend Detective Aaron Thom elected. She calls in her dad, the State Senator, who she has an estranged relationship with. In the meantime, Tabby’s witch friend Sheena dies, leaving her minor sister behind. Tabby has more than enough on her plate and it’s fun to watch her navigate it all. As always, Sherlock is a big help and we get to see more of the blue crystal. Tabby’s dad jumps into action and it’s really fun watching their relationship change and grow. A great mystery with plenty of twists and action along with Jay and Tabby again trying for that first successful date. Great to see another side to Tabby’s dad and to Aaron Thom. Can’t wait to see how things change in the next book.

Who Killed Sheena ? . . .

Crystal Cove will be getting a permanent replacement mayor and Tabby feels she needs help from her father, State Senator Conrad Chase, to get Detective Aaron Thom elected to the position. Unfortunately the timing was bad since Tabby’s witch friend Sheena Park, who her friends knew would never kill herself, dies with a medication bottle beside her bed and Tabby must investigate, knowing it will upset her estranged father. To her surprise, the relationship with her dad improves. Is reconciliation possible?

With Jay, Tabby, and Sherlock investigating to provide Sheena’s frantic teen sister, Judy, with some closure, they dig up more questions than answers and may find more surprises than they intended. Will they find out what’s going on before someone else dies?

The sixth book in a fantastic series you shouldn't miss. With the old mayor in jail, the interim mayor, Detective Aaron Thom is running for the permanent seat. Tabby is estranged from her father, State Senator Conrad Chase to help with Thom's campaign. But then there is a murder of a sister witch, leaving behind a teenage daughter. Much to her parents' chagrin, Tabby, Jay and of course Sherlock have to find a murderer and get answers for the teenage daughter. With so many twists and turns, family drama and red-herrings, you are on a roller coaster ride of one of the most fun, best cozy mysteries you will read. And you will love Sherlock! I highly recommend this whole series and this book is amazing. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I just love this series. I am always eagerly awaiting the next book. I think this is one of the best in the series. We always hear about Tabby's parents and her strained relationship with her father, and it was really nice to have them be main characters in this one. I loved the family dynamic. I also loved the friendship that was developing between Aaron and Tabby. And of course, my favorite character in the series Sherlock never disappoints. I just adore him so much!

While I did receive a copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review, I highly recommend this series. It's such a great read with so many unique characters. You really feel like you're apart of their everyday lives and you grow to care for each and every one of them.

It seems like a simple case, but then that is what they always say. But the deeper our heroine digs, the more questions she unearths. Solving this case is going to be murder.

This is book six of the series, but it is written as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.

This is a cozy with mystery which has become one of my favorite genres. The story is well written and easy to read with an intriguing cast of characters. The plot is solid and all the different issues keep things moving at a good pace. Overall, was an excellent story and I definitely look forward to reading more in the series.

Highly recommended.

Loved this book since the characters are great. Tabby is so caring, loving, and fun. She wants to help Detective Aaron Tom in his in endeavor of running for mayor. The mayor that have now is just not right a fit for Crystal Cove. Tabby tells her dad about both Aaron and this new mayor. He gives Tabby some advice. But soon her parents are on there way to see her along with there other daughter.
A horrible thing tragedy strikes, and Tabby lends her hand to other friend who’s also a Detective and maybe just a little more. That would be Jay. He treats her a little differently.
Much more to come...

Wonderful new story in this cozy mystery series. Tabby and Jay are at it again. Did Sheena really commit suicide? Her sister, Judy, needs closure. And now Tabby needs her father’s help for Detective Thom’s mayoral campaign. Sherlock of course leads Tabby towards the right direction. These characters and town of Crystal Cove are awesome. The author does a fantastic job of bringing everything to life. I adore this series.

Morbid Monday is book #6 in the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mysteries series by Denise Jaden.

Tabby has a lot going on with Detective Aaron Thom’s planned run for mayor, her father coming to town, and a death to investigate. I really enjoyed seeing a different side of Detective Thom and seeing Tabby interact with her parents. There were plenty of twists in the investigation to keep me guessing until the end. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Tabby and Crystal Cove.

This was a Tabitha Chase Days of the Week cosy mystery. It was a very light, easy read, with some fun and likeable characters, including a cat named Sherlock. It was the sixth book in the series, and while I think I may have enjoyed it slightly more if I'd read the previous books, I still found it fun and entertaining.

Thank you to Booksprout and the author for a free copy to review.
