USA Today bestselling author of Contemporary and Historical Romances. I'm a proud Texan living it up in Alaska's beauty who loves to write both sweet and spicy romances.

My heroes and heroines can be found in this time or another, modern or historic, professionals or not. All include a little naughtiness, sternness, seriousness, a taste of suspense and a HEA.

I have always loved writing about sassy ladies and have done it for fun but never thought I could do it for other's enjoyment. It's my dream job and I hope I never come back to the real world.

SERVING OTHERS

While this is the sixth story in the Safe and Secure series, it will read well as a stand-alone. These stories normally revolve around the people who work for Reynaud and Associates. In this story, Ryker Bennett really isn’t employed by Jac, but has been known to be an asset and keeps his military training up.

Ryker Bennett served in the military and is now an attorney near Lexington, Kentucky who has a way of serving still but helping military personnel. He will be traveling to Dallas for a Military Law Conference, where he is a keynote speaker.

Oakley Addison is a Psychiatrist and especially one who is committed to working with those who are military veterans and first responders. She has seen plenty who have suffered PTSD and does what she can to be a help.

The story’s plot will have Ryker arriving at the convention, ready to call it a night when he hears a scuffle and then a scream. He will go to the aid of a woman who is attacked in the parking garage. He will see her safely inside and they will go their separate ways. What a shock at the conference, while he is speaking, there is another confrontation, and once again, it is Oakley being attacked.

There is a strong chemistry between these two. What was to be just a conference hook-up becomes more because they can’t seem to get enough of each other. Then to discover they live about 30 minutes apart will have them making future plans. It isn’t long before these two are spending all their free time together, taking turns at each other's house during the week and weekends.

When Oakley doesn’t show up, Ryker becomes concerned. Finding her car at her office, but she isn’t there, it really has him upset. He will involve Jac and his team—because the police can’t do anything for forty-eight hours. The story is a mystery, and suspense, with life and death danger, kidnapping, and more. It will take everyone and their specialties to try and locate Oakley. Learning who has taken her, and what the connections will slowly play out. Ryker won't stop until she is found.

Oakley: How did I get so lucky to have you in my life?
Ryker: I'm the lucky one. You're the light that brightens my world.

I enjoyed the story and it does have some intense moments. The chemistry and connection between Ryker and Oakley sizzles off the pages. The story does have mild power exchange and explicit scenes.

Loved reading this x

Who would have thought that book 7 story line would go from strength to strength and include all our previous characters from the other books. The storyline was emotional and page turning and I couldn't put it down. Loved it x
