I think there are supposed to be three separate books, but I read this on the Readict app. It had everything together so I'm going to give my review of everything. On the app you can read the book for free. You have to watch adds between chapters. It may not have always been edited amazingly, but I could not put it down. This is the first time in a while that I couldn't go to bed at night because I couldn't stop reading. It is a werewolf romance, but it has so much of everything. There are so many ups and downs. Sometimes I was so nervous I could hard stand to keep reading even though I also couldn't stop. The couple has such a hard time just having their romance. They have to fight for their lives sometimes and something is always happening to jeopardize their HEA. It was a wild ride but one which I could not get off. This is definitely one of the best books I've read on one of those free apps. Most stories on free apps I end up stopping after a couple of chapters because they're just silly. Most of the 242 chapters in this completely kept my attention.
I enjoyed the story. I would have given it more stars if someone had done a thorough job proofreading it. There were several times I had to stop and re-read passages due to the poor job of the proofreaders. That makes it less enjoyable IMHO.
Nothing happens, there's no revelations, nothing. There's no point for the miscommunication between the alpha and beta. Like why isnt the alpha telling the beta anything? This book is just so disappointing.
I absolutely love this series. This is my second time reading it. I found it on another app and did not want to spend more money on it when I found it on here I knew I could read it a second time. The other app had many many spelling and grammar mistakes but on here there is nothing out of place. I wish I found it on here first where I could spend a small amount of money compared to what I had to spend to read it through another app. I really love the fact that on here I can bookmark and I can highlight words or even whole sentences.
As for the story itself I really love this story and I love the fact that the author describes things in such great detail it feels almost like you are reliving someone’s memory rather than a fictional story. I think that the love forming between Jackson and Layla is amazing and the mating bond even tho it has not been cemented yet is intense and beautiful. Dylan is like most typical betas thinking they can get away with almost anything because they feel protecting their Luna or Alpha in this case is their top priority so they feel their actions are justified. He may be Jackson’s best friend but that does not mean anything compared to a human best friend. Once someone’s mate was sensed the best friend takes a back seat to it all. Even tho Dylan does not yet know that Layla is Jackson’s mate I was very surprised he did not even entertain the thought of the possibility that Layla could have been Jackson’s mate, but that is only because like most werewolves they feel they are superior to humans, and because Layla’s scent is masked because of her hidden red wolf genes as Jackson has been summarizing himself none would have guessed in the werewolves world that she could ever be Jackson’s mate because when they smell her she only smells human. As for the witch she is cunning and smart but so far Jackson because of Layla has been able to beat most of the stuff that was tried in him. As for the point on the fact that Layla was almost rapped she is still traumatized by that and will forever be traumatized by such an act. I feel she does heal from it and will continue to do so for the rest of her life. As for werewolves they have this beautiful ability to almost forget about it when in close proximity to one’s mate which I think is very lucky to be able to do such a thing because humans don’t have that ability. I was so happy that Jackson managed to get to her right before that happened. As for the fact that Layla was frozen still right before it happened she did actually try to fight it off but Incase everyone has forgotten the fact that she wasn’t hit in the head and made her slightly concussed and being that she is a half blood so she is not as strong as a werewolf she could fight like a Hurricane, and try as you may to no avail does not mean she is a weakling it just means she lost the battle because the strength between them was overpowering her will to fight. She did kick one of them in the balls and tried to run but with a concussion. The brute strength between not just one of them but three of them was too much on her so by the time Monica’s father got to unbutton his pants she was way too out of it and dizzy from what was happening to fight any longer. I was so freaking happy when Jackson got to her on time.
The story is great although I feel like ive read something similar before. But would have been a higher rating but two things held it back. The editing is non existent- so many mistakes. And the length of the story-took forever to get to the point. Truly found myself skipping just to get past the wasted words. Overall, good story -terrible execution. Very immature writing style. I saw the ending coming and think it could easily have ended after book 2, in fact was natural place for ending but it was like the author couldn’t let go. So bottom line- don’t buy but read it if you can do so for free. And for the author, great start but invest in an editor.
What can I say? This was a sweet and beautiful read, it reminds me of those good and interesting books I usually read on wattpad in the early days before wattpad went downhill. I had to search for the author's page to know if she was once on wattpad, that's how freaking good I found the book. I couldn't put it now because I'm a sucker for this kind of tension, trills and suspense. I came across it and I don't regret diving into it. Layla and Jackson literally rocked my world and I can't wait to see Layla's domination.
Giving this story 4.80 starts ⭐️. It was a long story it felt like there was more to some parts . An emotional roller coaster with the characters but over all well writing had all the feels . I really like reading this story. Don’t know if this story has turn into a noble or multiple , it should be … I would buy them all ooh and the audible id it ever came out that way. But for now I’m glad i found it on Readict and had a change to read it .. 😃
I absolutely love this book and can not wait to read the sequels. It kept me for the most part on the edge of my seat as the twist and turns and plot thickened. I like how there is a very clear arch, so at least it all is coming together and makes sense even though you never know what is lurking around the corner of the author's brilliant imagination ♡ I definitely will read more from this author
A quick read. Stops at a key point not a cliffhanger but just stops before book two. Lots of world building but also some big gaps in what and why of the world and curse. The chemistry is clear and the lore of the red wolf has me intrigued. Ready to jump into the next books.
The writing may not always be the best and there is some editing issues that were missed, but the storyline is great. I really enjoyed the plot as it is different than other wolf stories I have read. When I got to the end, my mouth dropped open realizing where the story stopped. Cliff hanger! Great job!
These stories are usually dragged out for money on the apps but jeez, 3 part series with the same timeline, characters etc?? I really like to read and get excited when a novel is 500 pages but it’s so drawn out!! 3 chapters about the same scene trying to explain everyone’s feelings?!?!
I had lost my love of reading after getting my degree online bc there was so much reading. My brain would short circuit when I tried. But this book got my attention and locked me in. I loved every second of it!
This was a page turning, edge of your seat thrilling, nail fumbling drama! It was everything I wanted! Unpredictable, the unromantic romance if that’s a thing. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!
Lost 3 days reading the 3 books in this series. Would recommend to anyone who likes werewolf romance, although I did want to strangle Layla at some points haha
