To say that it was the same as the previous book is to tell you the truth, because it was, since the end that we were given in book one, I needed my answers, did I get them here? Let's say yes and no, there are still a lot of things missing for this story, the mystery of the curse is getting closer, everything around the three boys is getting darker and Katarina is getting stronger.

Now the relationship of these four has grown, in the first book we were left with Lucian and Katarina had became mates, in this one we see how this thread of union goes, but also how Aeon and Zev slowly fall (more Aeon), how they slowly trust Katerina and how she can break the curse.

The ending? The truth is that I was expecting it to end on a cliffhanger but not so much because OMG THAT ENDING SHOCKED ME, I didn't see it coming and now I'm really looking forward to the third book of this trilogy because I need answers and I need to see more character development with Zev and Aeon.

Decir que quede igual que el libro anterior es decirles la verdad porque así fue, desde el final que nos dieron en el libro uno yo necesitaba mis respuestas ¿me las dieron aquí? vamos a decir que si y no, aun falta mucha tela para esta historia, el misterio de la maldición cada vez se vuelve mas cerrado, todo alrededor de los tres chicos es cada vez mas oscuro y Katarina cada vez se vuelve mas fuerte.

Ahora la relación de estos cuatro aumento, en el primer libro nos dejaron con que Lucian y Katarina se habían unido, en este vemos como va ese hilo de unión pero también como Aeon y Zev poco apoco caen (mas Aeon), como van confiando de a poco en Katerina y en como ella puede romper la maldición.

¿El final? La verdad es que me esperaba que terminara sin definir pero no tanto, porque OMG ESE FINAL ME DEJO EN SHOCK, no lo vi venir y ahora espero con muchísimas mas ansias el tercer libro de esta trilogía porque necesito respuestas y ver mas desarrollo de personaje con Zev y Aeon.

i gave the first book 3.5 stars and this one unfortunately only 3.25.

i enjoyed reading this and the first book, but here were a few scenes that just bored me.

i liked that we delve a little deeper into the romance part and see more of their relationship.

also, i think two books would have been enough.
will i still read the next book? yes, because i really like the characters and i’m kind of interested to see what happens next and if we get scenes where things that happened in book 1 and 2 are simply repeated.

At the end of book one, Kat finds out a part of the curse the beasts have been hiding from her.

With eight months left to break the curse. Kat continues to try to get all the men to help her. The more she learns about each of the men, she feels horrible for the way everyone has been against them from the beginning.

Lucien and Aeon are so adorable together! I love love love them!!! Lu with his way to bring brightness to anyone’s day. Aeon is nurturing and knows exactly what a person needs at the moment. The spice between them is 🔥🔥🔥.

“You will break this spell and when you do, your family should bow at your feet. A magic-less witch did what no one else could.”

Mr. Potter is so easy to fall in love with. His love, support, and mentorship of the men are truly beautiful. But, the way he uplifts and encourages Kat is tear-worthy. He is exactly what all of them need in the house and I know I would enjoy his cooking lol

“For someone who is so sure of herself when she goes head-to-head with me, you are looking more and more like a coward right now. You failed and that’s ok. I expect you to get back up and try again and if you fail again, you try again.”

Zev can’t let the past go. Battling his growing feelings for Kat. He continues to push all her buttons to get her to crack and admit that she’s playing a game and all of them.

Kat’s husband is not ready to let her go and he will do anything to break her out of the castle.

Will Zev let go of the past so they can all work together to break the curse? Can Kat handle being mated with Lu and A but not Zev? Does Kat's husband get her back to complete his revenge?

We picked up where we left off on Book 1.

Zev, Aeon, and Lucian all have their feelings grow for Katarina (Kit Kat, Kat). Each of these boys have different personalities from sweet and caring to savage. You feel the love that surrounds them, and they always keep Kat in the forefront. Kat has been given the impossible task of trying to break the curse. OH, Lucian you have my heart! How is always goes into bat for Kat with Zev and Aeon. Always wanting the best for her.

I knew when I started this book that I would be reading in one sitting. But I am not fan of the CLIFF HANGERS that Mandy leaves these books in! ARRRGGGHHH! But I really cannot wait for the next book to come out. Highly Recommend reading this series!

This is book 2 in the series so if you haven't read Cursed Beasts read that one first. Tensions are running high as truths of the curse are discovered and emotions are scattered throughout the group. Can they break the curse in time? Can they work together to find the answers they so desperately need? you won't find the answer in this book as it ends on a cliffhanger BUT this book takes you on the journey of lots of discovery and some very hot moments that are just to die for! This is a Beauty and the Beast Why Choose reimagined with lots of magic, angst, spice and overall a fantastic series so far. In this book we dive a little deeper into everyone's relationship and what part they play in this situation and it is such a ride to be on with these characters and I can not wait for the answers in the next book! I received this as an arc and this is my honest review.

Wtf, Mandy? WTAF, MANDY?! 😤🤣 I both love you and hate you 🤣🤣 I LOVED this second book even more than the first! The f*cking cliffhanger though! You’re the worst and most wonderful and I can’t wait to read book 3. The story is SO good y’all. SO GOOD. And the spice just elevates it even further. Solidifying further as one of my fave series of 2024.

I absolutely loved book 1 of this series, Cursed Beasts, and Book was an AMAZING continuation of this series!! I remember after I finished Book 1, messaging Mandy and being like I NEED BOOK 2 and boy, this one DELIVERED!

I’m gonna start off by saying the ending of this book literally had my jaw on the floor!! That CLIFFHANGER! I need the next book ASAP!! This was definitely a page turner that I couldn’t put down and I loved it so much!

The character development for Kat and the Beasts was phenomenally written in this book. I loved seeing the growth in all of them individually and with each other, and I loved all of their interactions with each other! You can see the dynamic shifting throughout the book as they all learn to trust each other slowly but surely as they work to break the curse. You get to see their vulnerable sides more, too, which always makes my heart happy🥹

This book definitely answered some questions about the plot but some new ones are raised and it’s definitely keeping me on the edge of my seat as I read through the series! Kat is such an amazing FMC and I love her tenacity so much, and I’m loving her growth and development through the books.

Not only is the plot amazingly written, but the spice was spicing in all the best ways. I was LIVING for the spicy scenes and these beasts… well, IYKYK😈😏 I love a good why choose and this series is top tier why choose romance and it’s written so well.

Thank you so much again Mandy!! I was absolutely enthralled throughout this whole book and I cannot wait for the next one!!

Un libro pedante, rispetto a quello precedente sono stati fatti pochissimi, se non nessun passo avanti rispetto alla maledizione.
Ruota tutto intorno al rapporto tra Katarina e i tre ragazzi che fanno sempre le stesse cose in loop: litigano, piangono, fanno il bagno, vanno in biblioteca, fanno pace, fanno sesso, e ancora e ancora e ancora, 480 pagine di questo, non scherzo.
Le scene di sesso non mi sono piaciute, l'asfissia sessuale, la dominazione, le sculacciate, la legatura, gli insulti durante il sesso, non amo leggere niente di tutto questo.
Il finale mi ha fatto decidere che leggerò l'ultimo libro, ma non ho grosse aspettative.

I am really enjoying the story, a lot more than I expected from *another* beauty and the beast retelling. However the guys were pissing me off they can’t decide what they want and I’m all for rough sex/primal play but I can only stand her being rejected so many times before I’m like girl the d can’t be that good. I enjoy the story and the spice but I’m growing tired of the games the guys are playing cough Zev cough. Hopefully book 3 gives me something else lol.

Enjoyed this series! Book 2 has really picked up and is definitely more interesting than book one. It’s also got more plot and action in it. This is my first beauty and the best retelling ever and I’m enjoying it. I love the whole wolf/human shifting aspect and am enjoying the fact it’s more than 1 beast! You should definitely give it a read!

This is the second book in the series, and we got to see a lot more spice (the scene at the end of the book anyone?) and learned a lot more about the curse, and what it might take to break it. Of course there is heartbreak, complications, and Zev is still being a grumpy ass, but that was to be expected.

Continued where we left off with the first book that also ended in a cliffhanger, Katarina has 1 year to break the curse, and her time is almost up.

I have a love/hate relationship with this style of writing. I'm enjoying that this story isn't rushed, but I also feel like the answer to the curse is blatantly obvious, even though it hasn't been said yet. I'm kind of hoping for a twist in the next book that will make this wait worth it.

I love the unique dynamics between Katarina & Lucian, Katarina & Aeon, Lucian & Aeon, and of course, Zev thrown in there when he chooses.

The ending had my jaw on the floor

Oh my goodness! This is another excellent book by Mandy Muse! If I thought Cursed Beasts was amazing, Turtured Beasts is even more! The cliffhanger left me with my jaw on the floor, and with so many questions.
The development of the storyline is perfection. I love how each character grew. They show themselves more, and you get to see their vulnerable side. The new books and information have me chopping at the bit to know what is going to happen. I will be counting down the days for the third book to release.
I would rate the spice level a 5/5.

If you have not read Cursed Beasts, please go read that first! This series is an ongoing interconnected story and must be read in order. And if you’re a Beauty & the Beast fan, but want it with spice and more beasts - get comfy because you’re in for a treat!

Katarina’s family of witches is responsible for the curse placed on Zev, Aeon and Lucien hundreds of years ago so they’re unable to age or leave the grounds of their estate. They also are unable to shift out of their wolves except for one hour each night. The Belladonna family has sent their youngest daughters over the decades to try to break the spell with no success.

Katarina is not the youngest in her family and is the only daughter that is seemingly without magic, so when she finds herself dropped off with these men without notice in book 1, this book continues the struggle of trust, spell research and trying to answer for the reasons behind their ancestors actions. Oh and also continues the filthy tension and primal perfection between her and the guys!

The chemistry is instant with this group. The MM scenes with Aeon and Lucien, the primal and claiming, and you can’t have RH without the grumpy alpha who resists the temptation - Zev. The spice is definitely ramped up in book 2!

The spice, the suspense and the funny moments of “KitKat” introducing these men to modern age things (like toys and slang). I loved every second! But secure your kindles for the end so you don’t break them when you throw them across the room, because the cliffy is brutal! I was screaming!

I don’t want to give too much away but this was hands down freaking fantastic and I’m dying for more asap!!

I love this series so far! It is captivating! The author hooks you in and leaves you with cliffhangers begging for more! This novel is #2 in the series following Cursed Beasts #1.

To start the novel off our strong headed FMC, Katarina, born into a noble family of witches she is the black sheep, the outcast for being magicless and without an heir thus worthless to her family. I’m the start of this novel we pick right up on the first ones cliffhanger. She feels betrayed after finding out some devastating news about this curse. She works vigorously alongside her men to not only figure out her new powers from her mating with some of them but also to break this curse as more secrets unfold.

Zev, Lucian, Aeon, 3 men trapped forever under a curse. They only can retain their human form for 1 hour everyday 🐺 Zev is broody and hateful. He is slowly starting to come around finally and admit his feelings to himself. He definitely will take a lot to fully win over but at least he is repairing his relationship a little with his brothers. Aeon takes a while to come around to Katarina, he also has a relationship with Lucien beyond a brotherhood. Aeon is a quiet one but not afraid to stand his ground. He is the wittiest and finally submits himself to Katerina which turns out to be soooo good!!! Lucien is the sweeter one of the 3, but vicious when he chooses to be. I love how he grows in this novel and only becomes even more caring. All three together are a dangerous mix.

This cliffhanger. Oh my goodness!! Please let there be another novel!!!!!

Kat learns a shocking detail about the curse at the end of book 1 that has her even more focused on wanting to break it. As she continues to focus on figuring out a way to break the curse, the beasts begin to grow weary of a potential breach in their perimeter ward and get anxious that they will find themselves under attack. The beasts are torn between their growing feelings for Kat and the pull their beasts have to mate with her and protect her from all harm. But no other Belladonnas that have come to their castle have been willing to help the beasts lift the curse…so why should Kat? Zev continues to fight Kat at every turn as he just can’t seem to get past the last 200 years of being trapped in this curse and the tragedy their pack endured because of the curse from Kat’s ancestors.

Final thoughts: Wow the push and pull between Kat and the beasts had me at the edge of my seat in one minute, hot and heavy in the next and wanting to shake my kindle to knock sense into them in another. There were some unexpected turns of events and the cliffhanger has me hyperventilating for the next book.

Tortured Beasts is the second book in this series and the story picked up where it left off on book one’s cliffy. Gah! And the plot thickens.

Now that we know that little tidbit, it has added more to the pressure of breaking the curse and hopefully, to have a future with the beasts that she fell in love with. If only her cheating husband wasn’t hellbent on getting her back again. Argh!

It should be easy since she has mated Lucien, and maybe there’s a chance that Aeon feels the same way to her but Zev? He is the hard sell of the group. He still distrusts and hates her for the sins of her family even while he longs for her. Honestly, I’m having emotional whiplash from Zev. The sexual tension, the push-and-pull… Gahd! This man is testing my patience, LOL!

Time is ticking and after finally finding the grimoire of her grandmother, the last Belladonna who lived at the castle, the stakes are high to find the specific spell to break the curse. And WTF, this ends in another cliffhanger! What!!! I need book three right now.

It was AMAZING, but this series should come with a sign specifying that it contains a mega cliffhanger. I thought it would be something mild but no... I hope the author is already writing the next book because I don't know how long I can wait until I know what happened to Katarina.

In this book, we still don't have the answers to all the questions, but we found out a lot more information related to curse. Last time we left Lucien and Katarina as mated, but someone else enters their relationship. I won't say who, but I think you probably already guess who it would be.

Lucien remained as sweet and caring. Aeon begins to show more his sweet side, although he still has moments of restraint, after a while he recovers. Finally, we see a change in Zev. Although he still wants nothing to do with Katarina, things start to change, making him to show his attraction and care towards her. Now much clearer than before when he didn't show it, letting Lucien or Aeon do it.

There's a lot to say, but without giving any spoilers, all I can say is that you'll be hooked, you'll barely let it go, you'll want Lucien, Aeon and Zev all for yourself and read incendiary scenes between them. Yes, I said that. They finally moved on to that step and the spicy scenes are even hotter.

You do need to read Cursed Beasts (Book One) to understand this book. It’s not a stand alone.

I read this book in one sitting. I wasn’t too surprised because i read the first book in one sitting.

Book two picks up only a week or two after book one ends, and takes us further into the lore of the story while Katarina tries to manage three wolf shifters and find a way to break the curse that binds them together.

Lucien and Kat’s bond grows as they each learn to be in a bond together. Lucien always has Kat’s back in every way. Aeon wants to be a part of what they have, but is afraid. Zev fights his very being to stay out of the bond. He still thinks that Kat is out to hurt them, but he can’t fight how much he wants her.

As the characters get closer to each other, the more the spell changes and the more the characters change. Things are going fantastic UNTIL THE BRUTAL CLIFFHANGER…

Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for the third book!

If you remember the first book in this series, Cursed Beasts, you'll remember how mad I was at the cliffhanger. Do you know what I found out with this one? Ms. Mandy Muse likes cliffhangers 😐 I personally don't cause I like instant gratification but it's fine because unfortunately for me she's just so good at them and this book is no different. I absolutely loved getting more and more into the lore and background of this curse and the grimoire entries and just the pack and Kat (FMC) all getting used to their new normal while trying to break the curse. Well, I didn't love everyone. Zev for 90% would have gotten a shoe thrown at him. He was very much giving "I was hurt once when I was 15 and I'll never forgive anyone for it" I completely understand that you were hurt once but my guy, SHES TRYING TO BREAK THE CURSE. Anywho let me not rant anymore cause I could make a small TED talk about how he needs to speak to a therapist. Anywho I really love the banter in these books and Kat trying to teach everyone new slang, I absolutely cackled when Lucien said "... get his head out of his arm" and then they just do not know modern things cause they've been cursed alone for 200 years. There are so many tender moments followed by some of the most spicy primal scenes I've ever read (whatever you're thinking add earth magic with vines for ropes 🥵) ugh I just loved this book so much and cannot wait for the next book, which apparently will not be coming to me in like a week😒
