Aster had always known he had very little in common with Belinda. And the first time someone ever suggested they might be similar, it wasn’t for shared beauty or charm or wit, it was for this. Of course. And it didn’t matter that Corin had realized he’d been unfair. He’d still thought it and said it in the first place.
Now he knew how it felt to have more than a moment of Corin’s notice. He’d had all of him. All of him except for the only thing he really wanted, of course. He wouldn’t put a name to it. Corin had fucked him, and he wanted to do it again. Aster could be happy with that for as long as it lasted. And if he waited a few extra minutes to go downstairs until he was sure his eyes were dry and he could keep his voice from cracking, no one would ever know.
Corin had loved her so very much. Adored her. The way he’d gazed at her, with longing and desire shining in his eyes…Aster would give anything to have Corin look at him that way. Even for an instant. He’d die happy.
With all respect, you’re a fool, and an idiot, and also a selfish tosser. This was a side character talking to Corin and I cheered.

Fuck, he had to stop. Or he could stuff his knot even deeper, fuck Aster with it harder and harder until he woke fully erect and moaning helplessly, startled and disoriented and about to spend all over them both. (p. 129)
"You're full of my come. Dripping with it. I want to wait until my knot slips out and then fuck it right back into you." (p. 137)
Nothing in Aster's past had prepared him for being fucked up the ass with a dragon's knotted cock.
But even that paled in comparison to being winked at mischievously by Sir Corin, dragon knight, disheveled and flushed and unshaven, offering to personally fill and then heat Aster's bath with his flames after fucking him up the ass with his magnificent knotted cock. (p. 139)
"But Aster's little sighs as he settled into the water, the way his hand hung over the side, his faint smile as he tipped his head back...every sign of comfort and satisfaction, of ease and contentment, soothed something in Corin's soul he hadn't even known he possessed. Corin had made Aster happy, and that made Corin happy, and that was...fuck." (p. 142)
