Four Pucking Christmases

Rate this book
Chicago Racketeers Book Two

I always imagined bringing my hot, charming, amazing new boyfriend home for Christmas.
And I thought about how great it would be to meet his parents too.

But I never really thought about what that might look like if I was dating three men. Together. As in, what it would be like if we were all dating each other.

And now it's here. Our first Christmas. And our first chance to be together...with our families.

Four Christmases in two days.
Where's that spiked eggnog?

Dani, Nathan, Michael, and Crew are back in Four Pucking Christmases, a steamy, fun why-choose rom com! No cheating, a guaranteed HEA, and the guys are all about her. If you like Lily Gold, Emily Rath, and Lauren Blakely, you’ll love the world of Emma Foxx!

It was cute and fun, but I’m annoyed at how the author is breaking this story up into 4 smaller books… like just write 3 longer ones??

Oh my goodness! This book was delicious. A perfect Christmas cookie for Cookie & Co. This is a beautiful slice of slice novella, perfect for after reading the first book and perfect for the Christmas season. We get to see all our favs again while they venture to squeeze in all the family visits for Christmas while also bridging the awkward conversation of the dynamic of their relationship. There are moments where it’s hilarious. There are moments where it’s super smutty. There are moments where my heart breaks for Dani. And also for Nathan as he doesn’t really get a full family Christmas but watching him go through this journey and feel like he has found a family along the way, cue the water works. I wanted to much more. There wasn’t enough to satisfy my need for these guys so I’m very glad there will be two more books and let’s just hope they are full length novels (even if they aren’t, we will love them anyway). Go read book one then come back for this one immediately!

Emma Foxx takes readers on a wild holiday ride in "Four Pucking Christmases," the second installment in the Chicago Racketeers series. While technically a standalone, delving into Puck One Night Stands first enhances the overall experience, providing context to the captivating world Foxx has crafted.

This was a spicy and surprisingly emotional MMMF holiday romance novella that was good on audio with a full cast of narrators and perfect for fans of other poly romance authors like Kayla Grosse or Luna Day. Recommended if you want a quick, fun, and steamy why choose Christmas read.

⭐️4.5. You definitely need to read the first book to understand and enjoy the loveliness of this book. It almost felt like a long epilogue after the first book, and I loved it!

Four Pucking Christmases is the follow up book to Puck One Night Stands by Emma Foxx, where we were introduced to Dani, Nathan, Michael, and we CANNOT forget about Crew! Now that the 4 of them are together officially, it's time for everyone's favorite time of year, the holidays. 4 families in 2 days, 1 camper, what could go wrong? But even better, what could go right?!

I loved this book! It was a very quick and easy read, while still packing a punch and plenty of heat to boot! I mentioned it in my review for PONS - I was always skeptical about how authors would manage the "why choose" trope, but Emma Foxx just knows how to put together a story that is realistic, funny, and oh so steamy, with characters you wish you could join in their world. Loved this book and cannot WAIT for the next story!

Editing to add Audiobook Review **

I already mentioned it for the audio review for PONS, but choosing this cast and having them do a full cast duet narration really knocked this one out of the park. When I first thought of who I’d want to portray Nathan, I KNEW it had to be Sebastian York. He was the perfect grumpy billionaire!! I couldn’t get enough and am loving revisiting this series.

4 Star review of Four Pucking Christmases (Chicago Racketeers #2) by Emma Foxx

Emma Foxx is a relatively new author to me but what I have read I enjoyed so I couldn’t wait to read Four Pucking Christmases.

After reading the first book and then the blurb for this one I knew it was going to be a fun and entertaining read. Nathan, owner of the team, player Crew, team doctor Michael and Danielle (Dani) have weathered the storm of public opinion and settled into a relationship together.

Now that the holidays are upon them it looks like they will have to attend multiple functions which to say the least is going to be chaotic. The sparks continue to fly between all of them and it was interesting to see the dynamics of the individual relationships the men have with Dani.

This was a fun read that had me laughing out loud on occasion.

This was a cute christmas novella in the Chicago Rackateers series. We follow Dani and the guys while they navigate their first four Christmases as a poly quartet. The story was sweet, heartfelt and spicy. The dialogue was still a bit cringe but it was not as repetitive which helped quite a bit. It sets up the next book in the series nicely; and makes me excited to pick it up.

I fell in love with this book and cookie&co. I 100% recommend this book but you do have to read Puck one night stands first. To see how everything started and get the background story. Which makes this book even greater. It had me smiling, laughing, and needing a cold shower throughout the book. I can’t wait for the author to release the next book because she has got me hooked.

Cute novella! I read it without reading the 1st book so it was a bit out of sorts without their backstory but still cute. I enjoyed reading it!

I absolutely loved this holiday novella follow up to book 1 in the series! Now that all the relationships have been established, I think I enjoyed it even more than book 1.

Cookie and Co. are on the way to celebrate 4 Christmases. At each family visit, the foursome learns to navigate their new dynamic. I loved Nathan’s growth and how he finally gets to experience the family bond he’s been missing for so long. I also really appreciated how they all handled Dani’s family’s initial disapproval. Even though this one was short, the spice was on point. I’ll be diving into book 3 asap!

A quick, simple read. It was okay...ish.

I liked the guys but the woman (I don't even remember her name. Dani? Maybe?) was boring for me. I think the dynamic would have been much better if the men were together and didn't just share the woman. I definitely felt the chemistry between them much better than with their woman.

This book is arriving just in time for the holidays. Filled with joy, family and so much love and laughter, my heart was bursting with how much I loved this holiday book.🥹😍❤️

"I never imagined being in a relationship like this. It's not about having three guys. It's these guys. I fell in love with my soul mate…it just happens that I have three.”

I was crying and laughing through the same moments, on the same page, which is the absolute best kind of emotional therapy in my mind. Dani, Crew, Nathan, and Michael all return in this delightful holiday rom-com and I couldn't have loved it more.

“We’re bringing the Christmas Vacation RV to the Home Alone house for our own version of Four Christmases. And we’ve got our own personal Grinch along.“

I was over the moon as Nathan and Crew tickled my funny bone with their back and forth banter, while Michael held steady as the backbone of the group. With all of the family gatherings it was the perfect mix of laughter, the absolute hottest nakey times, and moments that made my eyes leak with an overabundance of emotions. It was the perfect follow up to one of my favorite books this year.

I still NEED more. I am so sucked into Cookie and CO. I’m gonna be completely honest here. This is the 1st arc I ever agreed to read. I am an avid reader, at least a book a day, but I’m also a hard critic. And I always feel like I. The last person an author would want to give an arc to. I review based on how the book makes me feel on the last page, and what emotions the book evokes. And I have a huge pet peeve about endings. I hate rushed or incomplete endings. And I’m not a HFN a lover I need HEA. That being said Puck one night stands was one of the few books I absolutely loved this year. The characters, the plot, the spice 🥵 it was so good. So I had no reservations about accepting this arc. I was salivating at the prospect. Now, onto my thoughts…

I freaking loved it! I was crying 3 pages in, not because of anything bad, but because it was beautiful seeing Nathan really growing and becoming comfortable with himself and his new found family. He has had the biggest character arc and growth and I love it. Our Grumpy boss is just a big ole softy. I can’t wait to see how much more he changes and grows in this love.

Danielle, we’ll she’s still great. I didn’t so much focus too much on her in the novella. She had a hard time with her family and their apprehension with her new relationships. But for me this book really shined on the guys themselves and the whole family in general. It was a great perspective for this part of their journey. This was definitely the biggest deal for Nathan and Emma wrote that perfectly.

Crew our goofy hockey boy is still the light and laughs of the group. I felt he is starting an arc himself. He actually had a few moments of insecurities and apprehension which isn’t like him. I think some of the things the future holds are scary for him, but I have faith he will always rise to the occasion with the help of the rest of the crew.

Doc was still our steady rock of a man. His family was also the steady rock they all needed so desperately during the holidays. And I look forward to seeing more of his family and how they support our crew. Doc is like the glue that holds everyone together, he is so intuitive and empathetic. He is who everyone needs.

This book once again was deliciously raunchy and spicy but also so emotional and intense. I feel so connected with these characters. It’s so much more than them just getting down in the bedroom. It’s a perfect mix. I’ve read all the hockey romance books that released this year and last and then some. I know a lot of other books got more press attention and some of them were really great reads as well but this series here hits me in a way the others didn’t. I don’t know why more people haven’t read this series but they for sure are missing out. I can NOT wait for more! I wanna see the house, wedding and babies…so many babies. I can’t wait to see how the guys all grow through those changes. I am sitting here making up funny scenarios about it in my head now!

Side note…Danielle’s family was mehhh. I can’t understand it’s new and different but I don’t know if I will like them…ever. I know they tried and they kinda sorta came around but still they made my crew uncomfortable so 🥹

I hardly give 5 ⭐️ reviews, check my Goodreads…I’m brutal AF. But definitely read this book and the previous and fall in love with this crew. This is the best kinda found family. They all need each other in different ways and they all bring something that the others are missing. Beautifully done Emma. Thank you.

More Pucking Greatness! A Delightfully Charming Story & Listen🎧

Four Pucking Christmases
Chicago Racketeers, Book 2
By: Emma Foxx
Narration by: Penelope Rose. Sebastian York, Winston James, Zachary Johnson, A.M. Elizabeth Kay, Victor Quixabas, Aryann Michele

It is great to be back in Emma Foxx’s wonderful “Chicago Racketeers” world to spend more time with the fabulous characters they created,  Dannielle “Dani” Larken and her three gorgeous and smoking hot men, Nathan Armstrong, the grumpy billionaire and owner of the Chicago Racketeers professional hockey team, Michael Hughes, the team’s doctor and Drew McNeill, the teams star player. This book picks up soon after the first book, “Puck One Night Stands”, and that is where it all begins, a not to be missed story and one you need to read or listened prior, I recommend the audiobooks, they are amazing multi-cast productions. The four are still settling into their newly formed relationship and, with the Christmas holidays approaching, they made plans to meet the parents, which meant a road trip. Nathan knew that putting Drew in charge of the transportation for their trip was a big mistake even before he rolled up with the vehicle he chose, which is a great laugh out loud scene. And off they go to visit each of their families. This is a delightful gem of an addition to the series, a cleverly plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, charming wit and humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The world building and character growth continues and I enjoying watching each grow, as well as their relationship with one another. Emma Foxx, thank you for another fabulous story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Emma Foxx cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. The superbly talented Penelope Rose, Sebastian York, Winston James, Zachary Johnson, A.M. Elizabeth Kay, Victor Quixabas and Aryann Michele’s outstanding performance continues. Their character voices are consistent throughout and they handle the dialogue naturally and with perfection, whether in handling the humor or speaking as a grump. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions, as well as their passion, and had your feeling it all. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

It was fun returning to Danielle, Nathan, Michael, and Crew to witness their first Christmas together and once again experience the fun and engaging rom-com writing of this reverse harem which makes for a real easy read.

I enjoyed reading more about this group of characters as their chemistry and interactions were just as enjoyable as they were in the first book. In Puck One Night Stands I enjoyed seeing the individual relationships Dani developed with each of her men as they built to the RH aspect of this story and here we saw further development of each of those relationships and of the familial connection the guys are also building. My favourite thing about book 1 was how we got an insight into what everyone got out of the relationship and that continued here whilst we also got to see how it is they are making this relationship work for them all. The relationship is still developing and they are all finding their feet whilst moving forward together and as they enter the next stage I look forward to seeing how it unfolds.

This was another page turner that I enjoyed and I look forward to seeing what happens next with Dani, Nathan, Michael, and Crew.

Favourite Quotes:
“And even though it hasn’t been very long, I am smart enough to understand what I have, and there is nothing-” … “-nothing that will keep me from being with them.”

“I would burn the world down for your daughter. Then Crew would pick her up and carry her across the ashes, and Michael would rebuild it to be everything she ever wanted.”

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a ‘Four Christmases’ meets ‘Why Choose’ book. This short novella has more meat to it than book one, which was an insta love, light romance. Our four main characters are three months into their poly relationship, learning how to navigate how they all fit together. It’s nearing Christmas and they all decide to visit each other’s family by taking a road trip. One they will be traveling in style, if that style is an early 80’s “Christmas Vacation” RV.

In this novella, we get a lot more background for each of our MCs. The families are mostly accepting of their lifestyle and enjoy interacting and sharing stories from the past. The pace of the novella flows quickly and I’m glad that there is more to this short story than Puck One Night Stands. There is still a good amount of spice in this story as all of our MCs are in love and Dani especially is looking to explore more in the bedroom and the guys are all to happy to indulge.

This is a multi-cast duet narration with an impressive list of names. All are new to me except for Sebastian York, who was the reason I requested this ALC series. He crushes everything he narrates, but I was very impressed with Penelope Ann Rose, Winston James, and Zachary Johnson. They met the characters vibes perfectly. Other minor characters were voiced by AM Elizabeth Kay, Victoria Quixabas, and Aryann Michele. I love when I get introduced to new narrators and this full line up did just that. I thank HomeCookedBooks for sending me this ALC to listen and review.

🏒 “There’s only two numbers Dani needs to care about right now. How many org@sm$ she’s going to have and how many inches of c*** she can take.”
