You’re broken, just like me...

Tamara

The voice of my mother echoes in my thoughts.

The nausea, the mood swings, all of it has to be a mistake. A joke. And not a funny one at that. I cannot *possibly* be pregnant.

What am I going to do? How do I tell my enormous, over-protective, alien baby-daddy that I'm unfit to ever be a mom?

Awful

Tamara was an awful character; she was a straight up bitch and a downer throughout the book. What her mother said about her was true. This book wasn’t at all what I expected. I like some humor but this book offered nothing light-hearted. Judge it for yourself.

Tamara (h) experiences extreme mood swings and believes that she is broken, much like her own mother, mother, which creates uncertainty and fear about her own abilities and worthiness. Her emotional scars affect her ability to fully commit to her relationship with Kri'sin (H), a Zmaj warrior, and cause her to lash out at him. Tamara's struggles intensify when she discovers she is pregnant, and she worries about her ability to be a mother and with to finding the right time and way to reveal her pregnancy to Kri'sin. Kri'sin tries to be supportive and caring towards Tamara, but he becomes confused and unsure about how to help her through her difficulties. At times, Tamara's volatile nature and treatment of Kri'sin just makes you feel so badly for him and you can understand when he embarks on a dangerous mission. The underground interaction between Kri'sin and the Urr'ki was interesting - every coin has two sides and the Zmaj and Urr'ki conflict has perhaps reached a turning point. With Kri'sin in danger, Tamara will have to reach within herself and open up to those around her, her healer and friends, to let go of the past and tune in to her love for Kri'sin. Captivating story of the power of love in healing wounds, overcoming challenges, embracing those around us, and the power to rewrite one's own story. Another great book in the Tajss series.

Confused

I feel as though ive missed a book somewhere. The last thing i read was the jungle people and the surface people met up. Now we are back underground? How did they get there? Confusing. That being said I have to be honest with my review and the couple were more irritating than likable. Tamara was awful, mean, and a drama queen. Kri' an walked around in a constant state of anger. It got old quick. Sorry but that is my review.

This is an interesting addition to the series, and I'm curious to see how the author will take the story from here. Now that the bunker survivors have moved in with the Zmaj underground dwellers, a lot of possible new plot lines are available.

So far, I'm not a big fan of the underground Zmaj and their culture, but I am curious enough to read the next books in the series. I'm hoping to learn more about the long-time enemies of the underground Zmaj, as it seems they are not as evil as the Zmaj have always thought.

I liked Kri'sin, and thought he was amazingly patient with Tamara. She kept giving him mixed signals, and wouldn't tell him what was bothering her -- but he loved her anyway, even when she hurt him.

I had a really hard time liking Tamara. She was so emotionally damaged, and her behavior to Kri'sin was often practically inexcusable. She got angry for little to no reason, and wouldn't tell him what was wrong. Every time she did that, she just kept hurting him more. I get that her terrible relationship with her mother damaged her, but that was no excuse for the way she treated Kri'sin. My dislike of Tamara is the reason this book gets only 3 stars.

1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

A wonderful read, loved the characters and story and scenario that holds your attention completely
This was a wonderful addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed this great read it was simply wonderful. Tamara has lived her life being told by her mother that there is something wrong with her, that she is broken and that she is no good and this has left an effect on her.

She has a mate that she loves Kri’sin unfortunately she constantly feels that she is not deserving, that she is not good enough and she knows that she cannot continue down this vein, she has to find a way to feel better about herself and she visits a healer who confirms that the reason she has been feel ill is because she is pregnant.

It seems that both Tamara and Kri’sin have their own doubts and trials and tribulations and if they fail to start being honest with each other they could lose the most important thing in their life.

This is a captivating read and I guarantee that you will not put this book down until you reach the end of this book and discover the outcome, however I know you will love this book and will be left looking forward to the next book in the series.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

A bit overdue with this review but here it is:
Another enjoyable read from Miranda Martin. Tamara is continually overwhelmed by hearing her mother's voice telling her she is broken. She loves her mate Kri'sin but she feels that she will never be good enough for him. When she starts to feel sick, irritable and angry she eventually seeks the help of the healer, Addison. Although she suspected that she is pregnant, Addison confirms this for her and her anxiety levels immediately increase - how will she cope? Will she be like her mother? How is she going to tell Kri'sin? The fates seem to be working against both her and Kri'sin and Tamara's emotional rollercoaster keeps getting in the way. But when Kri'sin gets caught in a tunnel cave-in. Tamara finally realises how much she loves him but will it be too late to tell him? Kri'sin too realises that he may never get to tell Tamara how much he loves her. He also has some moments of questioning his past as he is trapped in the tunnel with his sworn enemy - an Urr'ki. This is a well written book following Tamara and Kri'sin as they embark on an emotional journey along the way to finding their HFN.

Wow this book was amazing and it took me on an emotional journey that draws you in and doessn’t stop till the very end and I loved every minute of it. Tamara is a human that crash landed on Tajss along with others and they have made a life for themselves and she has a Zmaj warrior mate Kri’sin who she loves with all her heart but she feels broken and not good enough and this is what her own mother told her and she believes and when she learns she is pregnant the voice of her mother comes back to tell her she is worthless and will be a bad mother and so she fights with Kri’sin and pushes him away. Kri’sin is a Zmaj warrior who is mated to Tamara and she is his world but when she starts to treat him badly he doesn’t understand what he has done wrong and doesn’t who how to make it better so he takes on a dangerous mission to the underground and Tamara is so scared when they learns that it has collapsed that she will lose her mate forever. How does it all turn out in the end for our two troubled lovers and can they lean on each other and work through there issues.

Dragon’s Secret Baby is an intensely profound read whose MFC Tamara it took me awhile to warm up to but coming to an understanding of the traumas and fears suffered from her childhood due to a neglectful mother gave me better insight into her character.
Finding out she’s pregnant with her mate Kri’Sin doesn’t help her fears of what kind of mum she will be especially with her mother’s voice constantly in her head tormenting her.
How she overcomes those fears with the help of best friends, the devotion of her mate who as yet is unaware of her demons until an almost tragic event brings everything full circle made this expertly written story a heart tugger and ode to the power of love, understanding, acceptance, and resilience. HEA.

Tamara is a scared pregnant woman. Her relationship with her mother was broken. She keeps hearing her mother voice of them being alike and broken. She afraid to tell her mate, Kri'sin. Kri'sin would do anything for his treasure, even give her the space she needs. He's confused with her picking arguments and pushing him away. He takes dangerous missions to keep busy while giving her the time he wants. When a mission ends with Kri'sin trapped after an earthquake, Tamara is desperate to get to him and let him know he's her treasure and they're having a baby.
Drama filled love story between fated mates. Wonderful characters with issues like past trauma, miss information of the enemy, the danger, close friendships.i enjoyed the heart tugging story.

"Words are not my weapon..."

Kri'sin is a warrior who would fight any enemy for his treasure, but he's struggling to find what has upset Tamara.

Tamara's past and future are colliding in her present and she's going crazy trying to figure out if she has what it takes. So far she's survived crashing on an Alien planet with a hostile (hot) environment, and living in multiple places as they've tried to build a new home, but their current home in underground caverns is full of unexpected dangers, not to mention an Alien culture.

This Kindle unlimited book ties in closely with Abigail's story. It is full of memory jogs for those who aren't reading the two back to back, and over the course of the story proves to be a stand alone read.

This is a wonderful story of both friendship and community in which both characters learn to balance emotions and thought.

Together for Kri’sin and Tamara

This is book twenty seven in the series and picks up where the last one ends. We are still enjoying the friendship of Abagail, Annalise, and Tamara. Abagail has a mate now and his honor has been restored. They are so good together. Kri’sin still feels upset even with his new higher rank and job. Tamara and Kri’sin are working together towards a future. Tamara is holding back. She is not feeling worthy. Kri’sin is trying everything to honor his Treasure but Tamara continues to struggle. There is a happy ending for the couple. Tamara does tell Kri’sin about her past off page so as the reader we still don’t exactly know what happened between her and her mom to put so much doubt in her. Kri’sin has some beautiful moments in expressing his love with words. He is almost poetic. Read On!

In this book in the Red Planet series, Tamara (human) has found a mate in Kri'sin (alien). They are happy together, until Tamara learns she's pregnant. She they begins fighting her past - being told she was no good and "broken" by her mother.

This internal battle causes her to act cruelly towards her mate. He's confused, takes dangerous jobs to avoid confrontation with Tamara, and is then thought to have been killed.

So many misunderstandings, simple lack of communication... extra drama. Can Tamara find the strength to be better than her own mother? Will Kri' return to his family?

Wonderful world building, interesting characters, twisty plot... a good addition to the series!.

This is Tamara and Kri'sin's story. When Tamara discovers she is pregnant she fears history repeating itself and she will be as bad as her mother. Kri'sin is unaware of the pregnancy and she has to find a way to tell him but together with her constant mood swings and the possibility of an attack nothing goes according to plan. When Kri'sin is caught in an earthquake with an enemy warrior he starts to doubt what they know about them. A great addition to this series. Full of drama and angst with heat and steam, it is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and will leave you on the edge of your seat.

I love Miranda Martin's books in this series, though I admit this one aggravated me because of Tamara's attitude and actions. She was so mean and hurtful towards Kri'sin, always reacting in anger and pushing him away and the poor guy doesn't understand what he did wrong. I can understand she has her mother's hurtful words ringing in her head, and hiding that she's pregnant, but I'm sorry that's no excuse. He also gets quick to anger because of all this. It takes a disaster for her to realize what's most important. My favorite part of this book is Kri'sin's conversations with the Urr'ki. 4 stars.

Different Perspective

Another great book. I always enjoy reading about the Tajass. The author keeps the characters fresh for the reader for book to book while expanding the story lied as the series continues.

Redundancy is a big issue with a serious continuous for a long time but luckily that has not been a problem with this series and I be totally grateful the authors able to keep her readers fully engaged.

Kri'sin and Tamara are creatures with flaws that time and patience will help them become the better version of themselves.

Tamara and Kri’sin’s story

Experiencing extreme mood swings, Tamara is afraid she is going crazy like her mother. Is history about to repeat itself? When she finds out she is pregnant she is even more worried. What does she know about being a mother. Kri’sin is totally confused by Tamara’s behavior and a a loss how to deal with her. But when he goes missing when an earthquake strikes, Tamara is hysterical! Is she about to lose the best thing that’s ever happened to her? Great addition to the series!.

Tamara is angry she has been ever since they crashed on Tajss she doesn’t know what’s wrong with her maybe it’s just her life even Kri’sin who’s absolutely gorgeous can’t seem to help her and that hurts him also the nasty things that she is saying to him is not helping. Tamara believes that she is broken and she believes that she has what her mother has and it scares the hell out of her and Kri’sin doesn’t know what to do he feels guilty and believes that it was something that he had done he just doesn’t understand. I loved this story and the characters and I highly recommend this book.

This is an emotional journey for both Tamara and Kri'sin. Tamara has been left emotionally disturbed by her mother that told her she was broken when she was growing up. RIght now her moods are all over the place and she believes that she is broken, then finds out she' pregnant. Kri'sin keeps getting pushed away by Tamara and doesn't know how to help so he takes dangerous assignments to take his mind off things and give her space. Will he survive long enough to find out what is going on with her?.

I just can't wait to see what's next in this series! Each new romance has it's ups and downs, but this one's a doozy! Poor Tamara! Hard enough to be preggers, but to have all the baggage heaped on her by her mother? Well, I guess that's what jokes this story do interesting. Their trials and tribulations while learning to overcome that baggage and just be, makes for an entertaining and adventurous story.

Love these dragon men and their treasures!!

As always nailed it!! Tamara and Kri’sin together have to work out the many problems that seem to arise between them. Adding to the tension is the fact that Tamara is holding on to the secret of her pregnancy and Kri’sin has to be rescued from a mine collapse. But as always Tajss provides! I can’t say enough how much I love these dragon men and their treasures.

Another great red planet dragon story

A dragon man and a human female are lovers, but she doesn't know if she is capable of being in love for she has never known love. He knows that she is his treasure. She has a secret that every time she tries to tell him about she can't bring the words out. He keeps going on dangerous missions and there is fear that she will lose him. Read the book to find out what happens.

This story has steamy romance and lots of angst on Tamara's part. She had a difficult childhood due to her mother. Now that Tamara is going to be a mother, she's not sure if she can do it. Tamara knows she loves her baby's father, Kri'sin but is that enough? Kri'sin thinks he's doing something wrong. It takes him almost dying before they both work out their issues together. They are each other's treasure.

Please edit

The story was good, but this really needs to be edited. There are inconsistencies from the first chapter that is completely different from the last chapter of the last book with the same scene.

Grammar errors, name misspellings, and just plain wrong sentences. A character agreed with another character, but they used the same name. Pretty disappointing to see these books gradually get worse.

Great series

I give this series 5 stars because I love the storyline, but the grammatical and spelling mistakes have been get worse with each book causing me to have to reread lines/paragraphs to make sure I've gotten the author's meaning correct. It's bad enough that I have thought about not finishing the series, but I have come too far. Maybe Ms Martin needs a new editor. Just saying.

Wonderful story

Love is the ultimate healer. A Zmaj whose new duties sit uneasily on his shoulders. A human whose loveless childhood replays endless devastation in her mind. A resurgent old enemy of the Zmaj, and a planet in the throes of underground upheaval. Fragile alliances strain under faulty understanding. And everything changes when seen with the clarity of love.

Tamara has not had an easy life and it shows in her everyday transactions :( Kri'sin has new responsibilities that he's not used to and he really has no idea how to help his mate, Tamara, find her way... Their interesting story is filled with angst, drama, danger and a wonderful HEA and I'm glad to say that once again, love heals all :D

Ah, this book. I had so many feels. I wanted to hug both of them so much. They are both trying so hard but Tamara's struggles are creating so many problems.

Then the mission and the entrapment leading to some bonding with the enemy time. It was all a lot and I really enjoyed it.

Over Coming All Odds

A lot of the survivors are coming to terms with their ordeals. Most still don’t trust the dragons but they are coping with it. They are learning about the underground dragons slowly. Each side is blaming the other about the devastation that occurred, the dragons. What really happened? Excellent reading.
