I write dirty fae, vampire and monster romance. My males are dark and dominant. My females are flawed, sometimes hard to handle, and definitely grow throughout the series.

My fae world overlaps, as do some of my characters. Chaistolf was my first character and with him blossomed the Spark Bonded Series. It's a vast series of six big arse books. Starts all lovey dovey, but gets darker as the series goes on.

The more I wrote in the Spark Bonded Series, the more I explored the darkness of romance. Now, I live there.

MM? Usually.
MFM? Often.
MMF? More often than not.
Noncon? Happens.
Monster Porn? Got it.
I'm not afraid to take you down a path others might fear.

Book 2 from “breaking her box”. And while it’s the same “world”, it’s a totally different vibe. There is much more storyline. Which admittedly is nice. However Lurch (aka Logan) is virtually non-existent. It’s all Logan. I do love how the author build the character from the first book, but we never got to see Lurch come out to play.
And Eden seems nice and complex. She’s a student, an artist and pretty sheltered. Would have loved to have seen her break out of her box a little more. It seemed once she got it on w Logan she became totally different. Amazing what good D will do.
But even on that. In book 1 it was all about how Lurch is this huge guy. But he’s described at 6ft4…. I would have suggested 6ft7 would have been better. And then the way Eden just took him without a single flinch. Come on! Lizzy from book 1 apparently couldn’t walk for days, but Eden doesn’t even blink. Really disappointing.
Now, the storyline in this is heaps more complex. There is some serious darkness and confusion when the story moves to Scout’s story and triangle. I’m all for setting up the next book, but we get pov and everything! It really disrupted for the main story and made me disconnect from Logan & Eden and want to know what was going on with Scout and her guys. It was just gratuitous trigger warning stuff w Scout and how she was tortured by G&D. So that made the story feel very disjointed between before boat and after boat.
All up, it was ok. But just missed a few too many opportunities and could have benefitted from a solid editing.

I loved Logan’s and Eden‘s story

This book brought new elements to the series. BFR it’s not just a kinky society. This book brings in a paranormal element, that was totally unexpected. I’m glad that an entire book was devoted to Logan and Eden. The only other book I’ve read in the series presented Logan as “Lurch”, and you really didn’t get a good feel for him because of the way he was presented. I was glad to see more of him and learn more about him than just the brief glimpse in the previous book. This book is spicy! How could it be otherwise? But it’s good, it’s really good.

oh it’s dark but so so good

Based on the cover, I didn’t have high expectations. The writing, however instantly floored me. Very well written, minimal errors and great continuity.

The plot was interesting, the characters were even more so.

I’ll be recommending this to anyone who can handle noncon, dark romances because it was HOT.

Confused

I feel like I just read two separate books. Or maybe? Why at like 65% into the book, the author introduces a whole bunch of new characters that have a completely different storyline just to set up her next book makes no sense to me. I'm just confused.
