The day every Pack dreams about… Omega Choosing day. Me? I want anything but my Choosing day. It’s a web of lies. To be chosen by an Omega is a huge deal here. As if we have any say in it. We don’t even get to choose which Pack we get. We just draw a name out and then it’s a “happy ever after.” For the Alpha’s. But an Omega reveals the way to secure the pack of my dreams… a way to rig the draw. There’s just one catch. I need to know the name of the Pack to make it work. Have you ever been coloring with a child and they lose interest and you tell them it would be sad if they didn’t finish their picture so they scribble all over it then yell “done” as they’re running away from you? The ending to this book is exactly like that.

Good story but needs HEAVY editing
I got the book on KU on 9/11/23 and received the full copy. This edition needs serious heavy editing. There are many typos: fuse/fuss, their/there, like/lick to name a few. There are also changes in perspective that weren't caught and wrong pronouns used. This feels like a first or second draft.
SPOILER ALERT
Storywise there is a defined universe and setup of government and societal rules. There is heavy focus on the government and expectations of alphas and omegas. There is a lottery they cheated at and a government official hounding them. There is an uprising and her pack goes on the run. None of that matters because the ending of the book is simply the pack finding her father then moving to the house he built for her secretly. She reunites with her father then it cuts to an epilogue scene where she's pregnant on her porch.
There is no resolution or information about the uprising. There is no information about about them being hunted. It is basically just a cut to black scene as if the author decided to give up on the book. It is an extremely disappointing ending.

Yikes yikes YIKES clearly this author doesn’t have an editor because no editor would let this be published as is. How does this author have multiple published books and still isn’t using the correct version of their/there? I liked pretty much nothing about this story and the author, besides getting some sort of editor, needs to do more research into omegaverse before writing another omega book. It makes no sense that there’s a pack with multiple income streams living in a shitty part of town in a house with peeling paint, a crappy nest and leaking pipes. The whole pack is a complete mess-with almost all of them admitting none of them did their designation classes so they have no idea what they were doing-exhausting as a reader to have to slog through that kind of thing. And we get it-we honestly don’t need anymore “omg I’m sad I’m suddenly an omega and our lives are unfair so there must be an uprising” books. The book is a mess. I quit at 70% when I really should have quit way way before that.

I love this author's books and so glad I read this one. Harley lives in a world where the government has a say in everything and she doesn't have a choice in anything. She just wants to be herself and live how she wants and choose who she wants.
I loved all the guys in this book and feel that they are a perfect pack for Harley and you know they will fight for her.

I have loved Belle Harper writing ever since I read her series The Pact,l. So when I saw this book, I knew i needed to read it. I will start by saying that Belle Harper, you outdid yourself. I fell in love with Harley and Storm. i just loved how they kept everyone on these toes. The world Harley lives in is sad she doesn't get to have a say in anything at all, not where she lives, who she can spend time with, and who she loves. The government wants to take all her choices away from her, and they have so far. Harley won't give up without a fight she is going to fight with everything she has for her freedom and being able to pick who she chooses to be with.
She isn't the only one who is fighting for her. She just doesn't know it yet, but her pact has her back no matter what.
Harley finally is able to love who she is on the inside, being an omega unstand of hating who she had become.
I can not wait to read Storm story.

I gave it one star because it's at least in the universe I wanted.
Right away, there were multiple grammar errors.
Spelling mistakes, missing words, incorrect usage.
I just can't.
I was disappointed because I actually liked Belle Harper...

Just Sort Of Blah
There isn’t anything particularly REALLY HORRIBLY wrong with this book, but at the same time there isn’t much right about it either. It’s just BLAH in the worst way!
**SPOILERS** An Omegaverse Novel
Harley was happy as a Beta. She worked at a diner and one day a bunch of bikers came in. Unknowingly the youngest biker Alpha scent matched to Harley BEFORE she perfumed and her designation came in.
By the time Knight (The young biker Alpha) comes back with his Pack to the diner, Harley has disappeared. He’s devastated, and begins to slowly turn feral.
Fast forward a few years:
Meanwhile, Harley has been taken to an Omega institute (try prison) where there are a million rules and a stupid thing called “A choosing day.” Only WEALTHY packs get tickets to attend a choosing day which is a lottery of sorts! The wealthy packs put their name into a bowl, the Omega reaches in and pulls out a pack name, (this gives the public who get to watch the ceremony the idea that the precious Omega is getting a CHOICE in her Alpha’s, when truly that isn’t the case! Many Omegas end up with wealthy but terrible packs, packs that abuse the poor Omegas) it’s Harley’s turn and voila, she’s matched. Harley and her best friend Storm hate the barbaric practice, and decide (having heard another Omega) to “cheat,” the system by collecting a ticket, holding it hidden in their hand, and pretending to pull out the name - but it would be the pack THEY CHOSE!
Harley, has, in her time at the institute never forgotten the young Alpha biker who smelled like Blueberry Pancakes, however, she has also fallen in love with a Beta security guard who has been working at her institute. They’re both so devastated knowing Harley’s choosing day is coming next and that Gage is a Beta security guard so they can never be together.
Harley has lost hope. Gage was fired (they’d been meeting in secret) and she misses the scent of blueberry pancakes, too. Gage, coincidentally meets some older bikers at a bar while he’s drowning his sorrows in a bucketload of whiskey, and they all figure out that Gage KNOWS Harley’s scent match, and knows how to help the young biker who smells like blueberry pancakes! It just so happens that the old bikers are their dads - as in one of the bikers is the blueberry pancake smelling Alpha’s dad! Gage tells the dads, they tell Gage that their son is trying to WIN Harley on her choosing day. And tells them HOW AND WHERE AND WHAT INSTITUTE HARLEY IS IN!!
Well, whatdayaknow…THEY WIN HARLEY, or should I say, Harley wins them (by a bit of sleight of hand lol). Knight (blueberry pancake Alpha) is ecstatic and the rest of his pack are equally thrilled because they realize they are also scent matched to Harley. They take her home just in time for her heat and everyone jumps in. There are other Alphas, and a sweet gay beta who is the lover of Jax a bisexual Alpha who has CLAIMED the Beta. The Beta decides he’s not 100% gay and kinda helps her (Harley) through her heat along with the Alphas and Harley’s beta, Gage.
So, you might be asking yourself…just what is wrong with this book…and that’s EXACTLY the problem; there is nothing TRULY WRONG about this novel because Almost NOTHING happens. Okay so the Pack have a bit of trouble with the Omega Institute, and all the participants of the heat have to decide uh, “how to make their giant orgy work, lol). The story itself is SOOOOOOO DULL! I’m not kidding. It could’ve been fun, more exciting more developed with three dimensional feeling characters!! More angst - I don’t usually like ridiculous drama, but this novel could’ve used some drama or angst…even perhaps showing Knight turning more feral.
I enjoy Harley’s character, but that’s about it, and sometimes she’s actually kind of annoying in a goody two-shoes sort of way. I like her friend Storm too (maybe better than Harley) but you only get a few scenes with Storm (because her book is apparently next).
Then there is the pack!! **OH SIGH** So Knight we know has been going feral without Harley, but he’s already packed up, and two of his pack brothers are in a relationship prior to Harley, a bitten, mated, committed relationship where you really get the feeling that one of them is gay and wouldn’t be interested in Harley sexually. Which would be okay if the author hadn’t set the book up to have EVERYONE fall in love with Harley. The two in the relationship, they’re madly in love. Also you have the “tortured” Zayd, and the staunch Ace - who may or may not be bisexual, we never really get that figured out exactly- except for some scenes during heat, which return to “normal,” when Knight goes back to being straight, and fully focused and in love with Harley and Ace goes back to basically helping to try to keep the pack together since they’d been losing Knight without Harley.
Soooo big glaring issue for me; YOU BARELY GET ANY TIME WITH ANY OF HER HAREM!! Sure there are a few huge orgies where they’re ALL involved, but good “smutty” sex, doesn’t a good book make, right? I mean it helps, *wink* but if you don’t have a SOLID EXCITING STORY YOU LOSE YOUR READERS INTEREST! This book just seems to drag along at a snails pace, heck you don’t even really have any truly bad villains in this book. Just a bunch of selfish greedy administrator’s who are trying to tear Harley away from “her pack.”
I was really disappointed because I’ve read other Omegaverse books with MANY MULTIPLE men or women in the harem part of the reverse harem that DO NOT slow down the story, in fact give the reader EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES to be with their Omega and “court her properly.” You feel as if even if the Omega has seven, heck 10 harem member, male or female or both, they ALL get equal amounts of attention from the Omega main character! This doesn’t happen in this book.
I almost felt as if there were too many harem members in this book. Again, not because I have an aversion to lots of mates (majorly yummy! lol) - I usually like lots of mates, but you usually get to know them! So either this book was WAY TOO SHORT, the author didn’t KNOW HOW to divide time between the harem characters and their POV’s, or the author should’ve made it a series, maybe one book for each guy, and a shared one for the gay/bisexual couple (somewhat comfusing because the couple is more bi than gay, but then more gay than bi at times, but you STILL GET THE IMPRESSION that Harley is not the center of their love because they have each other!! I couldn’t even explore that threesome aspect because then we’re jumping to ANOTHER POV and more completely inconsequential little issues that were JUST FILLER in the book without fleshing out the characters at all. The author just kept tossing in stupid little asinine details that meant nothing and didn’t further the book!
Each POV is way too short, and I honestly would’ve really enjoyed learning more about the men, seriously!! With the exception of knowing that they’re bikers in a club, and their dads are too, and that they’re NOT loaded, and had to liquidate everything to try and get into the choosing day, we know nothing much about them or their pasts or what makes them click. You also barely get any one-on-one time with Harley and all the guys…I think you actually don’t. It’s frustrating and REALLY detracts from the story because YOU ARE NOT INVESTED IN THESE CHARACTERS when you know so little about them.
Well of course they all get their HEA. But it was a HEA that felt terribly formulaic, almost a cliche. And the harem members I had begun to like, I’d forgotten by the end of the book…because THAT’s how little these characters meant to me.
I WILL NOT be reading this book again!

Wow
This book took me on one heck of a ride. There was so many ups and downs that you really just didn't know it was going to happen. Though I do wish there was more explanation of what happened with that bitch Veronica and her Goonies towards the end. But I enjoyed this book great first book to have read from this author can't wait to read books two and three.

I don't normally complain about errors but this really could use better editing. I really do love the characters though. I thought they were great. Towards the end we got more tell then show for the story line.

The ending leaves so many plot holes. For example, why didn’t the Dad or brother try to track her down when she was taken, what happened to the house that they just abandoned, and does the government just give up their search.

I Like this author. Great short, omegaverse with unique situations & characters.

Harley is a spicy omegaverse romance with a fun heroine and a pack dynamic that definitely kept me intrigued and reading past my bedtime. I enjoyed Harley’s character, and her connection with each member of the pack brought its own flavor and heat - emphasis on the heat!
The omegaverse world had solid potential and the plot was engaging, though the ending felt a bit rushed and a few threads felt like they were left dangling - hopefully they’ll be addressed in the next story of the series following Storm, Harley’s hilarious bestie. If you’re in the mood for spice-forward omegaverse with a confident FMC and some steamy pack chemistry, this book definitely delivers!

It’s hard to put my finger on what went wrong with this book, exactly. The writing was a bit rough around the edges, but that alone doesn’t make me lose interest in a book.
Let’s start with what went right: There’s an interesting world, a dystopian Omegaverse where Omegas are lotteried and there’s a huge class divide, with a sprinkling of eugenics. There’s unrest, and a brewing uprising.
Harley and Storm are fun Omegas who buck the system by cheating the lottery, something that Omegas have been sneakily doing for years.
What went wrong: I didn’t care about these alphas. They seemed vaguely pathetic. They have to sell their motorcycles to enter the lottery, and don’t have working heat in their ramshackle house. Two of them are unemployed, one is mentally unstable, another is mute, another is a weak beta. Are there one or two others? I already forget. That one (or two) had no personality.
Most of the book happens inside the house. Any action happens off page. And then it ends. Abruptly.
The ending is nonsensical. Last we heard, the Omega House was surrounded by rebels. Simultaneously, they also issued warrants for the arrest of this pack because some random social worker thinks they cheated the system. And they run to a cabin in the woods and live off the grid forever. The end.

Full disclosure: I'm writing this review on zero sleep, so I'll try to make this quick!
"Harley" takes place in an Omegaverse where omegas are rare. So rare, in fact, they're kept in a place called "The Omega House" by the government, and by the age of 20, omegas are given to a pack determined by who has the winning lottery ticket. Tickets aren't just for anyone, though. Packs have to meet certain requirements and pay $50,000 for a ticket, just to have a chance at winning. The omegas don't get a say, except for potentially what packs get entered into the draw. There's a bit of character growth within this book, mostly within a mute alpha within the pack, Zayd. He was so sure he would ruin his pack's chance at finding an omega. The government wouldn't knowingly allow them one, knowing one of the alphas was disabled, "faulty." He also didn't believe any omega would want him. He usually distanced himself, sticking to his room and not communicating. Once Harley entered his life and showed that she accepted him as he was, he opened up. He started signing more often (ASL), began to smile more than anyone had seen him do so before, and really came out of his shell. He was definitely my favourite character of the pack.
This book received some not so great reviews in the past, largely due to it being poorly written and edited. It has since been revamped. There's new content throughout, and it has been revised completely. If you've read it in the past, it may be worth re-reading! It's a great story and makes you want to read the next books (if they've been edited, as well. If they haven't, I'm sure they will be soon!).
If you like Omegaverse with a bit more plot than ... "Not plot"... give this one a go! It's got a good story with complications, it isn't all fuzzy and warm like some others are, and things going on behind the scenes that make you really want to read the others to see what's going on!
MINOR, MINOR SPOILER:

I absolutely loathe this world (spoilers)
No, not the book, it’s so freaking good (even with the typos).
What I mean is the world the book is set in makes me rage, ready to throw and smash things and want to overthrow their government! I have read so many omegaverses set in so many different worlds, even dystopian and yet this one is by far the worst. It just angers me so freaking much, but hey I love a book that gets a big reaction from me.
But seriously what the fudge is wrong with this fricken universe?!
1) major class disparities and not just the normal rich versus poor though that also comes into play mostly because of the other disparities. The alphas and omegas are split between elite and beta-born. Beta-born are alphas and omegas born to beta parents or who have even one beta in their family even if it’s generations back and that is looked down on. Elites are omegas and alphas only born to omegas/alpha pairings and they are the ones with the jobs, the money, and the rights. Excuse me, go straight to h-e double hockey sticks with that bull hocky!
2) omegas are taken from their families when they present locked in omega houses and trained to be perfect omegas, then they are raffled off to alpha packs and locked away some more. No. Where the frick are omega rights?! Excuse me! Revolution!!!! Seriously the omegas have ZERO choice, they get to meet and scent packs and pick ones they like to be put in the drawing but this is out of packs that have forked over 50 grand to have a chance to win an omega, talk about keeping the lower class down! Only elite packs can bid on elite omegas but they can also bid on beta-born too, no wonder the beta-born alphas are starting to rattle cages like seriously. But back to how the lottery works. Omega selects packs, they go into a list but if she didn’t choose 50 packs they will put in more packs and now the omega has to hope she selects a decent pack on her choosing day no wonder some omegas have figured out how to cheat the system! There is no place for scent matches they don’t get a friggin chance so then of course the alphas go feral at 45 if they aren’t matched to an omega but all the omegas are locked up.
3) omega males are locked up and who knows what happens to them. You’d think with an omega shortage they’d matter but no, they are seen as less than and alpha females aren’t even mentioned. *screams for omega rights*
4) one beta per pack and betas are not allowed to touch omegas because they might make non omega babies. The punishment is death. Talk about rage inducing!
Overall I felt for the omegas in this book even the elite, no omega has rights, no choice no say. It just saddened me and had me screaming Viva la revolution!
I can’t wait to see this world continue but I’m really hoping the uprising can bring round some real change.
So grab the book, just be ready to grab your torches because it’s gonna make you feel and ready to riot and take down the twisted government in charge that has seriously questionable priorities!

Harley By Belle Harper ARC Review
Harley was a person who didn’t care what people have high expectations and standards for that’s what I enjoyed about her character I loved how she stood up for herself and let herself be as she. I liked how she has her own personal bite and goes along with what she liked and the respect and kindness she allowed herself to show. My favourite thing is her confidence and how she liked to be herself.
Dash was the best pack beta because he was caring and sweet to Harley which made me really like how he appreciated her and was showing her so much love which made me love his character and personality even more. The love made everyone stronger in the end and that’s my favourite part of the storyline.
Jax was the most playful and loveable character who shows for Harley and the others in the pack and wants to see each other grow in the relationship I liked seeing the chemistry grow even stronger in the pack because he only wanted all the others and himself to feel cared for and loved for.
Zayd was meant to be loved but he didn’t think he deserved to be loved the silent ones they are I loved his confusion about how Harley, felt about him he was a cute softy at heart but he was the best out of all them because he showed so much emotion and admiration as himself that I favoured him more than the others.
Knight the alpha in the pack his protectiveness gave me shivers and wanting more of it and the trust Harley has for him also him wanting to treat Harley right and showing her that he cares about her and treats her right. I can say his love is spicy and left me wanting more of that between him and the others.
Ace had a kind heart and knew where his feelings were at and trying to not upset his omega by protecting her from himself which I thought was really cute because he was trying to hard to protect himself from her which when she only wanted to help him and his guider into creating a healthy family and relationship within the pack.
This relationship was self made but on a note I can say I hated Veronica she made my skin itch but this was a beautiful read and proved so much this relationship can handle along the way to getting their happily ever after. This book proved that you can complete the challenges into making this a healthy relationship within others caring for you and you caring for them.

This was an addictive omegaverse read with a concept that totally hooked me from the start. Think: Hunger Games meets steamy omegaverse, wrapped up in a world of government corruption, power plays, and found family pack dynamics.
I loved Harley — she’s confident, feisty, refuses to be a pawn in a rigged system, and her connection with each member of the pack brought its own unique chemistry and tenderness (heavy on the heat). Zayd completely stole my heart. The way this big, gentle, nonverbal alpha slowly opened up because Harley made him feel safe and wanted? It was beautiful to watch his transformation. Seeing him sign more, smile more, and step into his place in the pack made him easily my favorite.
The worldbuilding had so much potential. Omegas kept in government-run “Omega Houses,” auctioned off in an elite lottery at twenty, with packs paying huge sums for a chance to win? And if packs can’t secure an omega by 45, they go feral and are put down. It’s dark, intriguing, and honestly, I was craving even more exploration of this political unrest and the brewing rebellion after Harley and her friend rig the system.
The plot mostly focuses on Harley being swept into her pack, navigating her heats, and finding safety away from the government’s control. The relationship dynamics were lovely — it’s a true why choose, each bond feeling distinct and layered. But I’ll admit, I would have loved a deeper dive into the uprising and the consequences of Harley’s choice to manipulate her fate. The foundation was there for something epic and darkly intricate.
That said, if you’re picking this up for the omegaverse pack vibes, the tender acceptance, the delicious spice, and a heroine who takes charge of her own destiny, Harley totally delivers.

This is another great book from Belle Harper. I’m huge fan of the MM, MF, MMF, and MFM action but I loved the panty wetting scenes. It really got me through this book! I found this book to be an entertaining read. However, I do think the last third of the book could have been expanded on. I would have liked to see more conflict resolution and relationship dynamics. Despite these flaws, this book was a fun and easy read. It was worth my time and it made me want to read the next book in this series, which I've already downloaded.

Harley is a Beta-born who didn't present as an omega until she had a chance encounter with a group of Alphas who showed up at a restaurant in a beta only town. She is drawn to the blue-eyed one who smells like blueberry pancakes. She ends up presently as Omega in the shortly afterwards, and is taken after from her family to the Omega House. There they are taught to be the perfect little omega and await their Choosing Day ceremony (where they do not really get to choose).
However, since Harley was raised Beta, she doesn't conform to the rules of the Omega House. She tries to escape several times, falls in love with a beta (an absolute no-no), and through a series of happenchances on the night before Harley's Choosing Day ceremony another alpha in the blueberry pancakes smelling Alpha pack sneaked into the Omega House grounds. From him, Harley finds out she is scent match to 'Blueberry Pancakes', and that he needs her to stop from going completely feral. Ok, I am bad at wanting to give everything 5 starts because I don't read books to critically analyse them. I read to escape and to fantasise and if a book delivers on that than I am happy. But I can't give everything 5 starts haha. This was a 3.5-4 for me.
Purley because I got sick of the words Omega, Alpha, Beta and I hate the word Slick. Purley personal Preference hahaha. But I did actually really enjoy this book.
I love a why choose and I loved all the guys in this book especially Zayd. The big gentle giant.
I loved the underlying story of acceptance and love is love through this book.
The main storyline was very Hunger games becomes smut. And I actually found myself really wanting to explore that more than the smut.
It follows Harley as she becomes and Omega and is taken from her family at 16 to live in an Omega house to be trained up where she is then to be ticketed off in a lottery system to a pack of Alphas. The concept of the corrupt government and women being sold off in a lottery system was such a cool (also disturbing) concept. And for me I would have loved to have seen this explored more in the story.
Harley rigs the ticket system to end up in the arms of her scent match that caused her transition 4 years ago.
Her and her friend rigging the lottery causes an uprising against the government and creates unease with the other packs.
The story focuses more on the pack as they navigate Harley going into heat and them trying to find a safe place for her away from the corruption of the government and the uprising.
I would have loved the story to explore more of the uprising and fight against the government. But it was more focused on the smut and the relationship with her pack. Which was also a good read but just my personal preference would have been for the more in depth story because I found it to be an interesting story line.
I still really loved the book and devoured it in a couple of nights. The MMC's were hot and sweet and I loved them all and the spice was great.

There was a lot going on in the book! I really wanted to give 3.5 ⭐️ but had to settle for 4.
You have Harley beta-born, with a surprise your an omega twist! It was somewhat hard to keep track of all the rules of this world pertaining to omegas and betas. Especially when they are in the omega house.
SPOILERS AHEAD!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!
I’d give this book probably a 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 on the spicy scale, but it really ramps up towards the end.
I really do love the characters in this book, but I really wish we had more background on Ace, and Jax. I feel like Knight, Zayd, and Dash take the titles of MMCs in this book, with all that goes on with Knight and almost being feral, Zayd being mute and “defective” (gross 🤢) and Dash being “just a beta”. However, they are great characters, who love and support one another no matter the situation, and take care of Harley like she’s gold (as they should!)
I will say I’m not a fan of poor Dash being portrayed as a 1950’s housewife, doing the cooking and cleaning. It feels so backwards to modern ideals. (I know, I get it. He is a beta…but still!).
I also REALLY despise Veronica as a “villain”. She seems to be more of an annoyance than a real villain and more like a jealous witch. Like why couldn’t they have just said, “hey, we’re all scent matches, you can’t take her away from us we’re rare!” She could’ve avoided the whole lottery bs in the first place!
The ending felt a bit rushed, especially shoving Gage back into the situation the way he was. The reunion of the family was so quick as well. Also, and this really bugs me, she was so heavily against bringing children into the world throughout the entire book…yet she is still doing it anyway. Even though they are in their own little world, wouldn’t they have to integrate that child into the world at some point?
Overall, a decent read. Not sure how I feel about reading Storms’ story. Hoping it isn’t a complete carbon copy of the 1st book!

Also, and this really bugs me, she was so heavily against bringing children into the world throughout the entire book…yet she is still doing it anyway. Even though they are in their own little world, wouldn’t they have to integrate that child into the world at some point?
Overall, a decent read. Not sure how I feel about reading Storms’ story. Hoping it isn’t a complete carbon copy of the 1st book!

Rating- 3 good but with issues

This was a 4 star read for me until the last few chapters. So much in this book is amazing. Harley is so much fun. She has a spine of steel and isn’t afraid to speak her mind despite the consequences, but she still comes off as lighthearted and fun. Her pack is perfect in their imperfections. We have an alpha and beta who are in love despite same sex relationships being banned, an alpha that brings an age gap, an alpha that is mute, and an alpha suffering from an illness. There is little angst in the relationships. The guys are immediately all in for Harley and it doesn’t take long for her to fall in love either. The drama comes from exterior sources. And it’s how that conflict is resolved that made me deduct a star.
The ending of the book was incredibly rushed. Not only was everything resolved in an abrupt way, but we also seemed to start skipping important blocks of time. This led to us being TOLD most of the drama instead of shown. Best example I can give without spoilers is that a pack member is attacked and then suddenly it’s days later. We don’t see the actual attack or other pack members learning about it or how the attack ended or anything. We would be in one character’s POV and another would suddenly appear to tell us of all these events that took place off page. And this happened several times. It does set up a sequel very well. We get to know Storm and glimpses of how she ended up with her pack. I will be coming back for that.

Will they be able to acquire and keep Harley? There's a plot afoot and things are not as they seem.
Commentary: Well, for starters, I think there were way too many people involved in this reverse harem. Two betas, four alphas, and an omega, not to mention the beta minder from the academy, the best friend, the fathers and mother of one of the alphas, and the father and brother of the omega. Too many people.
The father and brother couldn't find her? How many omega academies are there in the area that they couldn't find her? And they had enough money to build a whole other house and couldn't find her? Nobody was looking for them when Harley went missing? Nobody thought to look for her family when she took off? That would have been logical. And that was honestly the saddest pack ever. I don't even mean Zayd being mute (although it would have been nice to get some background on that). I mean bikers that weren't really bikers, half of them unemployed, the cliche of the cooking, cleaning beta, the obligatory beta-alpha m/m relationship, a feral alpha (who honestly, she just could have mated to fix), etc.
It was a bit of a mess - there was just an overload. Pare it down. Focus on one thing. What was going on with the rebellion? I would have liked that. There was a little talk about it, but none of them were directly involved in - in fact, were scared of it - so why even bring it up? Or just focus on fixing the pack. Or just focus on the families. But not all of it.
Grammar/formatting: needed another pass or two with an editor and proofreader.

This book had some good and not great parts. I really wanted to love this and I did enjoy a lot of it, but some things frustrated me, mainly the conflict resolution.
What I liked:
✅ I loved that the alphas were blue collar and not uber rich like every other OV book.
✅ I liked that Harley wasn’t an omega hiding as a beta because that’s also been over done.
✅I loved that her family didn’t sell her off to the government.
What I didn’t like:
❌ I didn’t like how some bonds with her pack were more developed than others. Some of the alphas were dide characters and it made it seem like she was only close with 2 when they were all her scent matches and loved her.
❌ I didn’t like how there were a lot of problems at the beginning, but all the conflict fizzled out around the halfway point and became non-issues:
- what happened with the omega house? That was never resolved. I know the beta that was trying to take them down wouldn’t have just disappeared and stopped.
-did the police just stop looking for them when no one was home after they fled?
——One question and story arc I hope continues to be developed through the series is the Revolution?———
I do wish that this was either longer, some of the conflict was culled, or it was a duet to resolve all of the issues: relationships, omega house, finding family, Revolution etc.

This is a ⭐️⭐️ book, I however dislike giving two stars unless necessary. The decision was hard due to it being so borderline for me. It could be bumped up to a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ book, to do that would require at least another 100-150 pages.
I think ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars could definitely be achieved if it was a duet. I honestly loved the characters in this book. Each MMC I wanted way more time with, for the author to develop them as her park, and to get much deeper into their backstories. Same for the FMC, her family, the “uprising”, there so much raw material here it could have been great.
Also I totally feel like a I got robbed of some quality smut. All of us who read omegaverse know that the heat scenes are usually the ultimate part of the book. She basically skips it! And the claiming bites, you get 2 alphas for that, kind of. After everything with Gage, he gets 1 chapter, barely mentioned in the heat, and has no full sexy scene with Harley.
I don’t think I’ll read the next book coming in the series, I have a feeling it will have the same problems I mentioned above. Perhaps future books will improve.

okay, this one is hard for me because i actually had a lot of fun reading it. but it just needs to be so much longer. i want to see these characters get to know each other and fall in love, but somehow they’ve all spend maybe two weeks together and they’re all saying they love each other. i wanted more of gage getting to know the rest of the pack, and more of knight and zayd’s chemistry, and who these characters really are. let me see the progression of knight and his healing. did harley ever see storm again?? what happened with veronica?? it’s glossed over in the end, something about harley’s brother being a cop, but it wasn’t fully explained. how did they go from being about to be arrested to totally fine??
what i got out of this book was really fun and entertaining, and i really like all these characters. i just wish it felt more like a fully realized novel, not an outline of one. it also could’ve used a better edit. there were a lot of stupid little mistakes like “touched starved” and small misspellings or wrong words. it was okay in the beginning, but by the end, it just felt a little sloppy.

Good Read
Harley is the first book in the Omega Chosen series and follows Harley who is a beta who turned omega and was taken away from her family to prepare for her life as an omega to a pack. In this book the omegas are allocated their packs via a lottery which is known as their Choosing Day and this is where they get to select their pack from a selection who has paid for a ticket.
I liked this book, the story was good and kept me interested. I did feel like it ended very abruptly though as if a word count had been hit and the author said that’s it. However, the book itself was good and I liked the premise and how everything worked out. The characters were likeable and I really liked the guys in the pack. I wish there was more from certain members in the pack and I think there was a lot of scope for other things that could have been explored.
Overall, this was a good read and one I would recommend.

This story includes a unique twist on the Omegaverse where the government forces omegas to participate in a Choosing Day to select their pack. Book 1 is the story of Harley, who was raised beta, but had her latent omega gene turned on after the chance meeting of her scent matched alpha. Once she’s taken by the government the story follows whether she gets to be with her blue-eyed alpha or if she’s forced to be with some unknown pack.
Belle Harper writes a sweet story. There are good moments that made the book enjoyable. There is some spice (🌶️🌶️🌶️), but the book lacks depth to most of its characters and falls short of giving a strong foundation to its unique universe. The ending is also rushed but I’m hoping it’s to help set up the next book in the series. That’s why it gets three stars instead of four or five for me.

Let me start by saying this book is absolutely worth the read, the tension that Belle creates is brilliant but I wish the book was longer! The characters and pack dynamics with the combination of politics was brilliant! I found all the characters loveable (and hate-able) as I feel that the author intended and she is brilliant at evoking emotion!
