She’s my brother’s girlfriend, but I met her first. She’d be mine if only I had taken my ring off, the ring that didn’t mean anything. I’ve tried to keep my distance, but I can’t stand it anymore. Watching him with her is driving me crazy, so I steal my moments when I can. Things fall apart and she leaves him. She leaves me too. Fate brings us together and I’m now a client at the agency where she works. Her job is to make my business a success. And to keep me happy. I want her. She should have been mine from the beginning. Even her new boyfriend won’t stand in my way. Just when we thought we were happy, my brother is back. I won’t let him near her this time. Even if I have to risk it all for her.
This book is in the top five worst books that I've ever not finished reading. I was skimming though when I realized that I was fifty percent into it and was so bored that I knew there was no way that I could waste anymore of my time. This book was horrible, so slow, so boring. Love story? How about two idiots meet and you hope that they both end of miserable, that might make the book just slightly worth reading. Run from this book! Shirley
I enjoyed the blurb but was a little let down by the delivery. There was more drama than the couple actually being together. I was very frustrated that after the drama with his brother and a time jump, we’re back to exactly where we started and had to go through the entire ordeal again with a different boyfriend. Had to force myself to even finish the book. This also definitely needs another pass with an editor. Lots of words out of place and small words missing from sentences, incorrect words used.
It was ok. Lana and Dylan going back and forth. All the drug and drinking crap with Todd, it was too much. I hate when things need to be said and aren't. If Dylan had been upfront with Lana when they first met, or Lana hadn't jumped into a relationship with Todd when she was clearly interested in Dylan first all the nonsense wouldn't have happened. I hate that about these stories.
It’s impossible to anticipate when an individual might meet the love of his/her life for the very first time. 25-year-old Lana Murphy, a blue-eyed, blond haired, curvy beauty, looked into the dark brown eyes of 30-year-old Dylan Easton for the first time when they bumped into each other on the way to celebrate the birthday of Dylan’s grandfather, Dave Easton. Lana was helping her grandfather, James, co-host the party for his best friend, Dave, with his friend’s grandson, Dylan Easton.
But unfortunately, the joy and sexual interest that was ignited with just one look of the two attentive grandchildren who worked to help host the birthday party was soon on a wrong path.. The possible interest that sparked between Dylan and Lana was smothered by Lana’s sharp eyes noticing that handsome, charming attentive Dylan already wore someone’s wedding ring. So, the obvious sizzle between Lana and Dylan soon sputters. And, not one to let opportunity pass, Dylan’s younger brother, Todd, who also noticed the beauty and charm of James’ granddaughter, quickly steps into provide attention from at least one of the Easton brothers.
That first moment when one question about the ring could have changed the next several years of both future lovers’ lives was pointed out throughout the romance. Unfortunately, the pattern of silence when conversation is needed and the characters’ habit of jumping to quick decisions when patience would have better served, becomes the path of development followed by the author. So, the loquacious storyteller drags the reader along on the journey of missed opportunities and misunderstandings when a redux of the past opportunities isn’t needed or desired on the path to happiness.
Ella Sloan presents a tense tale of a woman caught between brothers and caught in her own poor choices driven by her fear of how her actions will impact herself and others, and especially her job. The author initiates an engaging romantic interaction between the leads, but it is filled with interruptions and tropes such as fear of disturbing the equilibrium of the younger brother, Todd who spins into alcohol abuse, and Lana’s constant fear of losing her job.
I received an ARC from Booksprout, but also purchased a copy for my personal collection.
Falling For My Ex's Brother seemed great from the blurb and the cover is eye catching. But, the story started off good, got my attention, the FMC going from man to man and then starts the on and off again, I was so frustrated that I was literally shaking my head. MMC needed to start tough love a lot sooner. My rating for this book is 3.5 stars.
Dylan and Lana met at a nursing home for a grandfathers birthday. Instant attraction until Lana spots his wedding ring and then Dylan's younger, charming brother comes in and steals the show.
Lana breaks up with the cheating boyfriend has sex with Dylan then leaves the state for a new job the next morning.
3 years later she's back in town and Dylan and Lana meet again. Lana is dating Dylan's ex BIL, and he sets out to split them up and get her to date him, but now they are working together.
Them dating each other needs to be kept hidden from her work, his brother and the ad agency for Dylan's business. But of course, they are found out and things blow up in their faces and the big question is...will Lana stay or go?
This book made my head hurt in a good way. People can really be so stupid sometimes. They get in their feelings and are afraid to talk openly to one another. This book reminded me of those life lessons. It is a good reminder to follow your heart and gut feelings. Life can get in the way sometimes. Dylan found out the hard way with years of agast and regret that keeping his mouth shut didn’t work out so well. His true love is Lana. They both feel the pull towards each other but won’t admit. She settles for Todd his brother when she see a ring on his finger. Dylan should have set her straight in the beginning. That he was getting divorced. This book is a nail biter for sure. I wanted to reach out a slap several of the men in this book. It does focus on real life issues such as drug/ alcohol abuse. Demanding self absorbed ( borderline abusive) men. I loved the grandfathers in this story . It is sweet funny and a mail biter love story.
Overall it is a cute story, but the typos really detracted from the story. Towards the end it said Brent and Chelsea entered her office where she and Dylan had just separated. Then it said Brent and Melanie (or is it Melody? Crap, I can't remember her name) left the office. Which is it? Because I assume it was Chelsea since Mel knew about them.
The story also seemed to parallel the second book too much with the coworker (Beth) holding the Denver shenanigans over her head. The bridesmaid in the 2nd book outed them to the brother and the brother exploded. Much like Todd did in this book once he found out.
So, a bunch of sneaking around, exploding brothers, and then finally acceptance. Meh. Get a new story line. This one is done.
But the cover guy for this book? Smoking hot! Yes, please! Best of the series for sure! I'll take him, to go. Mmm mmm mmm.
I thought it was well written, and the drama and story was engaging enough to keep me reading.
I liked Dylan and Lana from the start and they had instant chemistry that was hot. The side characters were also enjoyable and played a small part in the drama which added to the story. I enjoyed their grandpa's in this too, they were very sweet.
But Todd, Dylan's brother who Lana dates first, starts off ok but soon gets worse as the book goes on and I definitely didn't feel sorry for him at all, I'm actually surprised that Dylan didn't punch him sooner lol.
I overall enjoyed this book, it was sweet, dramatic, emotional and also spicy! And that cover!!!! Also who doesn't like a second chance HEA?!!
When the story begins Lana is still in college working and going to school. Her mother divorced her father because he cheated many times and he disappeared from her life. When her mother passed she lived with her grandfather until he went to live in a retirement home. Dylan’s mother died when he was 8 and his younger brother was 3. His father died later and they lived with their grandpa. Their grandpa and Lana’s grandfather were best friends and that is how she met the brothers. This is a story of poor timing, immaturity, addiction and obsession, poor communication and lax of trust. Lana grows becomes independent and more self confident. Dylan demonstrates loyalty and persistence. It’s a rocky road to their HEA.
I am a huge fan of Ex's Brother so I was excited to read this one. It wasn't quite what I expected but still an amazing read. i enjoyed getting the story from the beginning. You go from Lana & Dylan meeting to her relationship with Todd and then years later. Lana & Dylan had many chances to make it work and their was always something in the way. But fate kept bringing them together. Lana was a little annoying that she had to always be in a relationship and that was a big part of her and Dylan not able to be together. And boy was there drama when Todd found out. These two truly had to fight to get thier HEA and I am so glad they did
Lana and Dylan are thisclose to being something and then not. His brother Todd has serious issues. Then later there’s Austin who has bad history with Dylan. I was annoyed Lana was willing to put up with so much from literally every guy she dates except Dylan, who she didn’t even want to give a chance. Her back and forth was him was a giant frustration. Overall good story. Dylan was mostly awesome except when it comes to his Todd. I wish we saw Todd in a good place.

Lana kind of annoyed me. Too quick to jump to conclusions and run away. Too willing to stay in bad relationships long after they’ve expired. Too willing to assume the worst from a guy she knows she’s in love with and the ONLY guy who hasn’t treated her like a second choice or a possession. She doesn’t deserve Dylan to be honest but man oh man my heart aches for Dylan from start to finish. Doesn’t hurt that the cover model evokes the perfect image of what I would have envisioned of Dylan.
This story is about Lana and Dylan. He saw her first, but his brother got her instead. He fell in love with her but didn't do anything. One night they broke up and finally his chance, but it never happened for him, she left. Fate had other plans and got them together. He knew if he didn't take chance of getting Lana, it will never happen. A great story and loved every second of it.

Lana and Dylan meet and instantly connect. However, Dylan is still wearing his wedding ring, and before he has a chance to clear things up with Lana, his younger brother swoops in. Lana, believing Dylan is unavailable, begins a rocky relationship with Todd. Each time Dylan thinks he has a shot with Lana, something is in the way. But, he won't give up on her.
She literally fell for the man of her dreams but life got in the way of them being together. She moved away but three years later she was back. Was the universe ever going to let them be together? Wasn't looking promising but Dylan waa trying desperately to overcome and win her over. This was such an awesome story and my first read by Ella, but definitely not my last.
I loved this crazy romantic story. It was so smooth with unnecessary stuff. I felt like the author transition well throughout the story. It was pretty much an easy read for me. It didn't make me want to put the book down. I read it in less than two hours. Dylan is an amazing character that would put any man to shame. Lana was well written and is truly awesome. Todd is another character that a lot of people can relate.
Great story by Ella Stone, first one for me. Really enjoyed this book, great read, kept me interested till the end. Had no idea how it was going to end. Dylan is definitely an alpha male who knows what he wants and goes after it. Lana is in his sights and doesn't know she's in for the fight of her life. This has a strong mmc and fmc, they were sweet from the beginning and I rooted for them. No cheating but a moment we do fear it be aware of that if it's a trigger. The author Gage us the burn and angst, drama and Climax we needed then slowly brought us back down to a sweet HEA. Nothing was left out, everything wrapped up nicely. Happy I read it. Spice 4/5 it wasn't overly kinky but he certainly enjoyed every bit of her wink wink :-)
This is a great read - Dylan was the ultimate book boyfriend we all want and Lana was incredibly relatable voicing relationship fears that most of us have.
The writing style flowed easily and the spicy scenes were great.
A really enjoyable read!.

Main character falls for his brother's girlfriend, but maintains his distance as long as they are a couple. When they break up he decides to pursue her, but many obstacles lie in their way. She even moves out of town for three years, but his hope is renewed when she returns. Can they overcome the obstacles that still exist?
I enjoyed the story, but Lana sure made things hard for everyone. I can partly see where she was coming from, but the ending was delayed for years because of her. But I guess that's part of the story. Truly liked the hero brother and the depending brother reminded me of my ex. All in all a good story. And the hot guy on the cover was great also.
First off all let me say this book deals with alcoholism, which can put a few people off, but too be honest it gave this book a great plotline for Todd's behaviour, he wasn't the main character but he does have a big part to play, I really enjoyed it, there were some sexy bits but not on every other page like some books, would recommend this one.
I liked this story but didn’t love it. I thought the writing was really good, the main characters were engaging, and the premise of the story appealed to me. I think I may just have been in the mood for a story about a relationship that developed more quickly between the main characters. Overall it’s a good story but just too slow for me.
Wow!! Has there ever been a chase like Dylan’s for Lana. It’s cool and all but how does Dylan go from Insta love to letting Lana go for three years and then back to instalove. Lana drove me nuts with her long time angst. Definitely different and worth reading. I’m also not sure about Dylan and Lana’s connection.
I really enjoyed the storyline, but there were several points where the character names were mixed up and caused me to stop and reread to figure out what was happening. At one point a character’s name was completely wrong- not even a character in the story. Aside from that, it was enjoyable.
I’m not an emotional person, but Ella has this way of writing that literally brought me to tears throughout this story. This story is fabulously written, you’ll be emotionally invested the entire way through, with all its twists and turns! Absolutely loved this book
The heart wants what the heart wants. And in this case, Dylan and Lana’s hearts were meant to be. It was a difficult path to be together but Dylan never gave up. Lana is very lucky to have a man love her the way Dylan does. Todd eventually being okay with their relationship is a feel good moment…no one wants two brothers at odds with one another. Sweet story!
This story of Dylan and Lana will have you emotionally reeling. The circumstances that keeps them apart include bad timing and misunderstandings but when they finally get together it is satisfying.

So many times characters names were mixed up. Once or twice I can handle but just about every single chapter it was very confusing. It takes you out of the story to figure out who is being talked about
Well written and definitely drama fueled romance from beginning till the end. Battle between brothers add more fuel to the fire. A must-read story of love.
